21☆Feliz navidad (Joshler)
Tyler's pov
"Do you think we'll get much money?", I asked josh who was still putting on his shoes.
"Lets hope so. We'll donate the money to a kids hospital, many people will probably give us money for that", Josh answered, standing up to walk over to me.
"Lets hope so", I sighed, taking the empty bottles, the money was supposed to be filled in. Josh took the big poster and we both walked outside our house.
It was early in the morning when we found a place in the city to stay.
This was a school project we had to do. We had to ask for money on the streets to donate it to a kids hospital. I took my ukulele with me and wanted to sing a bit. Josh was supposed to make the beat with his drums sticks. At first we we planned to take his drums with us, but it was too heavy so he was just going to play on a wooden box, which actually didn't sound that bad.
I took a deep breath, sat down and took my ukulele to start singing. Just school kids were running quickly to their bus to take, some people were hurrying to their cars to get to work at time.
No one of them really cared that we were standing here, ready to play many Christmas songs.
"I don't think this will work", I told Josh who rolled his eyes at my statement.
"We didn't even start yet, how can you already know it won't work?", he asked me, "at least let us try it."
I nodded and started playing feliz navidad. The whole song over I tried to catch someone's eyes contact but that early morning, no one seemed to be happy about our music. Some neighbours were yelling we should go to another place. One even told us to shut our mouths so we finally gave in and started playing in a different street.
My hands started to hurt after a while, and all of this just for 2 dollars and 25 cents. Yeah, that's what I counted. That's what we got after 4 hours of playing Christmas songs. And it's just 12 am.
"Josh!", I groaned, sitting down next to him, "why does no One like what we play?"
"They do, they're just too busy", he answered.
I took a look at the crowd and noticed all of them being distracted by their phones, friends or were just in a hurry.
I laid the ukulele back and sighed, this won't be enough. We'll never get enough money to donate it.
"Please Tyler", Josh said, "just two more songs and if then no one's gone a give us money we'll stop, ok?"
"Ok", I mumbled, standing up again to pick up my ukulele.
I took a deep breath before starting to play white Christmas.
No one turned around, no one was about to give us some money, no one seemed to care about us.
I started the second song less motivated, but still filled with hope. It was silent night.
I closed my eyes and started to sing the best way I could. Maybe this will be the last song for tomorrow, but maybe there's still hope...
I opened my eyes again just to see a few kids standing in front of us. Each of them gave us one dollar and walked away again. But it wasn't the dollar that caught my attention. No, it were the kids which had long ears and red noses.
"They looked like small elves", Josh chuckled behind me, causing me to nod.
"Yeah, they did", I said, "I guess we have to continue now, they gave us a few dollars."
"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's play some more songs!", Josh said, smiling at me with his perfect smile.

After the kids we got a lot of money. It was about 6pm when we started to pack all of our things together to make our way home.
"I think we did a great job today", Josh said, stepping closer to me.
"Yeah, I think so too", I answered, gulping because if his close presence.
Then he he took one step forward and gave me a small kiss on the cheek before walking with his drumsticks away.
I stared at the ground, a bright smile crawling up my face.
I heard a small giggle behind me so I turned around seeing the little elves hiding quickly behind the house. Suddenly it started to snow and for a short moment I thought this was magic.
I chuckled slightly and walked to Josh to go with him home...
