♥ Do you want to put the star on the tree top? ♥
On a chilly evening in Paris, with twinkling lights adorning the streets and the scent of freshly baked pastries filling the air, Marinette Dupain-Cheng was on a mission. Her mission? To top the Christmas tree in her family's bakery with the largest, sparkliest star anyone had ever seen.
But as always, her trusty partner Cat Noir was never far behind. "Do you want to put the star on the tree top?" he called out, his voice a playful purr as he perched on the bakery's rooftop, twirling his nunchucks as if he were a baton-twirling champion.
"Only if you promise not to knock it off again!" Marinette shot back, a grin spreading across her face. Last year, Cat Noir had tried to help, but, well... let's just say it took weeks to get the glitter out of his fur.
"Hey! That was one time," he protested, feigning indignation. "And I only sneezed because you had the sparkles everywhere! You should really consider going for a less...'glittery'" decor theme this year." Marinette rolled her eyes. "Not a chance! This year, we're going all out. It's going to be magical!" Her enthusiasm couldn't be dimmed, and with that, she made her way up the ladder with a determined stride.
Cat Noir watched as she climbed higher, a mischievous smirk creeping upon his face. "I hope you're not going to fall over and make me save you!" he teased, leaping gracefully to the ground below. Marinette gave him a mock-glare. "Who do you think I am, Queen of Clumsiness?"
And with that, she reached the top of the ladder, the shimmering star held tight in her hands."Now, let's place it nice and gently..." she began, but just as she moved to slide it onto the tree, a sudden gust of wind sent it flying from her grip."NO!" The small star twinkled away, but luckily Cat Noir was quick.
With a dramatic leap worthy of the finest acrobat, he caught the star mid-air. "Star caught! I always did have a knack for landing on my feet." The feline hero posed heroically, holding the star sky-high as if it were one of their precious Miraculous. Marinette laughed heartily. "If only you could catch some good taste along the way!" "Oh, I have excellent taste," he replied, his voice dripping with faux-seriousness.
"I only hang out with the best." "Flattery will get you nowhere," she quipped back but couldn't help but chuckle at his antics. "Alright! Let's get this star on the tree before it makes its escape again!" Cat Noir declared, handing the star back to Marinette while occasionally attempting to balance on one foot, pretending he was a tightrope walker. Marinette carefully placed the star in position, but before she could secure it, Cat Noir took another playful leap up to join her on the ladder.
"I can do this better," he announced confidently. Except, as he hopped up beside Marinette, the ladder creaked ominously."Uh oh! What's that noise?" Marinette asked, her eyes wide."Oh, this? Just the sound of danger!" he replied enthusiastically, but as fate would have it, the ladder began to wobble and they both found themselves desperately flailing to keep their balance.
With a duet of squeals and laughter, they crashed down in a pile of snow—cat ears and hair stuck with flakes and glitter—a whimsical winter picture. As they laid there, staring up at the snow-covered sky, Marinette turned to Cat Noir and asked, "So, what's next? Build a snowman?" With a grin, he suggested, "Only if we give it my fabulous feline features—maybe a crown of sparkles?" "Fine! But only if it's not on the ladder this time!"
The two heroes chuckled, their laughter ringing in the frosty air, filling their hearts with a warm reminder of friendship, festive spirit, and, of course, the unpredictability of their adventures together: the true magic of the season.

The Christmas tree is standing proudly in front of the bakery, while all the roads look like they've been frosted like a giant cake with snow.
