I left at about 8:30. Right at 9:00, Benjamin walked through the doors of the café. As soon as he saw me, he hurried over. I stood and we hugged for a long, long time. We ordered coffee and and two slices of pumpkin pie. While we ate we talked. He told me about after I left. They had all panicked when I'd left without saying anything. Their first thought was 'kidnapped', but then realized that that was crazy. They would have heard me putting up a fight. Then Benjamin had tried to get a hold of me. He told me that he bought a copy of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He liked the character I was playing, and complimented my dancing. He asked what it was like to know that millions of people probably knew who I was.

"Well," I answered,"they were probably paying more attention to Donny and Maria and the more important characters."

We both laughed. Then, I noticed that three were dark spots under Benjamin's eyes. Even his laugh sounded tired.

"Benjamin, are you okay?" I asked. "You look like you haven't been sleeping well."

He sighed,"Well, ever since you left, I felt bad. I felt like it was a my fault. When ever Christmas comes around, I feel even worse. I can't sleep well."

I took his hand,"I don't blame you. It's not your fault. My dad should've taken his medicine like he was supposed to. That's not your fault."

Benjamin smiled. His eyes lit up as well. After a bit, I decided that it was time for me to go. My family was going to have lunch together so I needed to go home. We hugged and left. On my way home I got a text from Benjamin:

"Did u get my []?"

"What box?" I texted back.

"The [] in ur pocket."

I pulled into a parking space and checked my pockets. Sure enough, there was a small box. He must've slipped it in there when we hugged. I opened it, and squealed. There was a RING. It was just my size and had a diamond in the center with a ruby on either side. I texted Benjamin:

"I FREAKING LOVE YOU!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!"

"Do u accept?"

"¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Sí!!!!!!!!!!"

"Did you take Spanish in school? Cuz I'm not sure that's right."

"No. But I no how 2 say 'yes'."

After that, I went home. Benjamin was already there. I walked in smiling like crazy. I ran and threw my arms around Benjamin's neck, and we kissed. Each of my brothers gave me a big hug, and Rachel and I practically crushed each other. Dinah looked at Jackson and Michael and said:

"I told you so." We all laughed.

After we got married, Benjamin and I moved closer to the rest of my family. We spent all our Christmases together after that. I will never forget those two Christmases. They changed my life. For better or for worse. God, I love my family.
