This is Merricup, I am very sure of it. I am just using new chracters. You know for a change.

"Well you have any red or four?" Tadashi asked and Merida looked at her cards and grinned.

"Well I have draw four and colour change is green" she said putting down her card and Tadashi grumpily grabbed four cards from the stack.

"How is Honey lemon?" Merida asked as Tadashi put green card.

"Well she is good, we have a great time together. Sadly she goes to another school" Tadashi said sighing sadly.

"It's gonna be okay, you meet her everyday at park anyway" Merida said patting his shoulder.

"Actually for the past week, we haven't talked, we haven't met. The only thing we are sending are good morning and good night text. Her tests are going on and she is fully focused on studies but today we have a date" he informed smiling.

"That's good for you" Merida grinned as she put her last card onthe pile and shouted "UNO!".

"Hey that's cheating, you distracted me and i couldn't use any of my tricks" Tadashi protested.

"Well this was my trick" Merida said innocently.

"So what you have thought about?" Tadashi asked.

"About what" Merida said taking a sip of her coke.

"A boyfriend ofcourse" Tadashi grinned and Merida spat coke on Tadashi's white shirt.

"Oh man, not again" he groaned.

"That's what you get for asking such questions"

"Ok fine, topic change have you heard about the new kid that's coming today. You might know him" Tadashi asked.

"Why would I know about some new kid"

"Well you know alot of boys since you are friends with 90 percent of boys in our school so I just assumed" Tadashi said scratching his neck.

"Well I have girls as friends too" Merida muttered.

"Oh really, name one" Tadashi challenged.

"Well there...is..a....Astrid!" Merida pointed out.

"The only thing you guys do together is cheating in history tests" Tadashi stated.

Before Merida could reply, a large group of girls passed them. They were shouting loudly.

"Finally a new kid in school!!"
"I heard he is cute!"
"Well I hope he is single"
"I hope he falls in love with me"

Merida shuddered, she hated girls they brought horrible memories for her.

Tadashi gave her a concerned look and Merida immediately smiled, "After how long a new kid is coming to this batch?"

"Well you were the last new kid, that was in 7 grade. Now we are in 11 grade so four years" he calculated.

"Where's Hiro?" Merida asked looking around.

"Oh there he is and looks like the new kid is with him" Tadashi pointed out to a older kid wearing a hood with Hiro.

Hiro slowly walked towards them with a big smile on his face, his friend followed cautiously looking left and right.

"Guys this is my friend Hiccup!, we met in bot fighting three days ago. He is the only one who was able to tie with me. So you can guess how much of a genius he is" Hiro grinned.

"Hiccup this my older brother Tadashi and that's my friend Merida" Hiro introduced and Hiccup pulled down his green hoodie.

Merida felt like electricity pass through her as she saw those forest green eyes. Then suddenly a headache, as if her brain was trying to stop her from remembering something.

She fell on her knees holding her head, the pain was unbearable. All the voices were muffled and her vision blurred. For a moment Merida thought she was gonna faint. Finally she regained her senses and shook her head, panting hard. Her vision cleared and she saw Tadashi and Hiro kneeling next to her. Tadashi helped her stand up and Hiro offered her water. As Merida drank the water, she quickly glanced back to Hiccup. He looked frozen stiff with shock.

"Are you ok? What happened?" Tadashi asked.

"You know part of the recovery," Merida replied smiling faintly.

"But it hasn't happened since two years right?" Tadashi asked.

"Actually it happened last week, I just found my mom's old pictures and well I fainted and dad took me to the doctor. She said its normal" Merida lied.

Hiccup was more curious then ever inthe conversation. "What recovery?", "what would have happened?".

After school

"Merida!" A voice called and Merida turned around to see the new kid Hiccup. She hadn't seen him since lunch and even that was mostly spend hiding him from girls.

"Oh hi Hiccup" Merida said feeling a bit weird, she felt she had said this before.

"Well Tadashi and Hiro went early to help their Aunt since I don't know anyone else except you. I was hoping you can show me around?" Hiccup asked with a crooked grin.

Before Merida could reply, a voice shouted "Merida!".

"Hide!" Merida hissed.

"What" Hiccup asked confused, "I said hide" Merida said pushing him in a janitor's closet.

"Merida I saw the new kid hanging out with you" Astrid asked appearing with Ruffnut by her side.

"And where is Tadashi?" Ruffnut asked.

Astrid rolled her eyes at her friend and turned back to Merida, "so do you have his number?" Astrid asked.

"No" Merida simply replied.

"I don't have his number, he's not my friend or something. He is Hiro's friend" Merida replied fixing her backpack on her shoulder.

"Well when you get it, give it to me. I wanna beat those girls in getting him" Astrid said and Merida nodded.

"Sure" she replied calmly. That's what she had been doing for a longtime.

"And tell Tadashi I said hi, and tell him the brown stain on his shirt really looked cute" Ruffnut said walking away with Astrid.

As the path cleared, Merida opened the door. " You can come out now, everything is safe"

"Well it was hot in there, whew!" Hiccup said coming out.

"Who was that cute girl you didn't want to share me with" Hiccup asked with a smirk which made Merida want to punch his face.

"Listen here buddy" Merida said holding him from the front of his t-shirt.

"You might be cute and charming to the other girls but with me you keep the flirting to yourself and if you don't, I will beat you up so badly that no girl will want you" Merida said glaring at him.

"Understood?" She asked him and Hiccup nodded.

"Good" Merida said leaving the grip of his shirt making him fall backwards.

"Hey that's rude" Hiccup said still sitting onthe floor.

Before Merida could reply, her phone started ringing. Tadashi was calling.

"Hi Mer can you do a favour?" Tadashi asked.

"What?" Merida asked glumly.

"Can you please show Hiccup around, I am getting ready for my date and Hiro had disappeared god knows where." Tadashi requested.

Merida glanced back at Hiccup who was now standing dusting his clothes.

"What's in it for me" she asked.

"I won't make you wash that coke stain" Tadashi offered.

"Fine I will do it" Merida said ending the call.

"So where do you want to go first?" Merida asked tapping her foot impatiently.

"Well the library would be a good place" Hiccup replied.

"Sure let's go" Merida said walking forward.

"Where is it? By the way." Hiccup said catching up with Merida.

"Onthe second floor" Merida replied heading up the stairs. There was a moment of silence between them, before Hiccup broke it again.

"So you and Tadashi seem close" Hiccup asked, walking infront of Merida with his hands behind his back.

"Well we are bestfriends since 8 grade" Merida replied typing on her phone.

"Oh, so is there something going between you two" Hiccup asked looking around.

Merida scrunched up her nose in disgust "No ofcourse not, why would you think of such a thing".

"I used to have friend named Jack, he said if two poeple, like you guys are close. There is something going on. Besides nerds are your type" Hiccup said walking faster, leaving Merida stunned.

"Hey Hiccup! Come back here! I am not done talking to you" Merida said running after him.

Merida ran faster but he was nowhere to be found. "Is he a ghost or something?" Merida panted.

Suddenly a hand grabbed her arm and pulled her inside another Janitor's closet.

"What the hell are you doing?" Merida hissed but Hiccup hushed her and pointed to a group of girls coming there.

Hiccup immediately shut the door and Merida shouted " Wait! You really shouldn't do that" Merida mumbled the last part since it was too late.

They heard muffled voices of girls outside.

" I heard someone calling him"

"Yea me too"

"But where did he go,?"

"Maybe downstairs lets check!"

"I can't wait to get his number"

"We should find Merida, maybe she has it"

"Let's go find both of them!"

"Yeah!!" They cheered in unison.

Hiccup sighed in relief as they heard the footsteps became inaudible.

"Well that was a close one" he said to Merida who was sitting onthe ground with a angry look.

"Why is this empty and big?" Hiccup asked suddenly.

"We are stuck here" Merida commented angrily.

"What" Hiccup asked confused.

"The lock was broken, that's why it is empty. The door can be only opened from outside and best thing is that this place is sound proof and even the janitor is absent, I texted Tadashi to get us out but he said he will come after his date is finnished so we will be spending alot of time together" she said giving him a sarcastic smile.

"Oh" Hiccup said thoughtfully looking down and then suddenly his frown changed to a smile.

"So it's just you and me, what are we gonna dooo" Hiccup sang playfully.

"Do you wanna play clash of clans!" He sang.

"Nah, I am good" Merida replied leaning against the wall and opening her bag.

"Do you have water?" She asked.

"Yeah, I do remember having some" Hiccup replied with a serious expression, he opened his bag and gave her a half full water bottle.

" Thanks," she muttered swallowing a pill and then drinking water over it.

"If you don't mind me asking, what are the pills for?" Hiccup asked sitting up straight with a worried expression.

"They are helping me recover" Merida answered leaning her head against the wall and then closing eyes.

"What kind of recovery?" Hiccup asked.

"Mentally" Merida replied opening her eyes.

The room was dead silent for a moment, Hiccup looked like he wanted more than one word answer, Merida felt like she could trust him. Like she has talked to him before but that's impossible.

"Since the age of five, I went to a only girls school. I hated going there. The girls were awful, they use to make fun of my hair, my accent, way I walked. They used to drive me crazy. Whenever I fought with them I was always outnumbered. Not to mention the teachers were so strict that they punished me all the time. I was mostly in detentions. As time passed by and I came in second grade my mom put in it's boarding school hoping me to learn some manners. The things got worst, they started hiding my things, throwing them away, pulling my hair and.." Merida stopped suddenly shaking her head.

"The rest I don't remember but that's for the better" Merida smiled faintly.

Hiccup patted her shoulder, "it's ok. I know the rest" he whispered.

"How did you convince your mother not to send you there anymore" Hiccup asked suddenly.

"I never could have convinced her, my mother died in a car accident inthe middle 7 grade. I was so traumatized that I fainted a week after her death. My dad took to me to doctor, and long story short I got some of my memories removed of my childhood so I can live a normal life again. This medicine helps me forget" Merida said holding the bottle containing the pills.

"Oh, you know if it makes you feel better i never met my mom. I have never even seen her picture. I don't even know if she is alive or not. My dad doesn't like talking about her" Hiccup mumbled looking at the ground.

"I understand, after my mother's death, my father threw away all her things and all her pictures are inthe storage. He and my brothers live in another city. I live with my Nanny Maudie in a apartment.

"Oh," Hiccup mumbled tracing his fingers onthe ground.

"So you wanna play clash of clans?" Merida asked after a moment of silence.

"Sure" Hiccup grinned as they both took out their phones.

"What's your clan name?" They asked in unison.

2 months later
Aunt Cass cafe

"So we have to bring dates?" Hiccup asked looking up from his book.

"Uh huh, it won't really be hard for you since girls are still after you" Tadashi said from behind the counter.

"Yeah, good thing they don't like checking the library" Hiccup said playing with his pencil.

"So I am ofcourse going with Honey lemon, Hiro is going with Penny" Tadashi informed. ( Hiro is 16)

"No way! He finally asked her out" Hiccup asked in disbelief.

"I was as shocked as you were" Tadashi commented. Penny was Hiro's crush since 7 grade and now finally he asked her out which gave the rest of the gang a heart attack.

"And I am finally done" Merida announced throwing her apron at Tadashi' s face.

"Yay" Tadashi said sarcastically removing the apron.

"Hiccup you don't have to wait to walk me home every day" Merida said grabbing her things.

"This girl is the weirdest thing I have encountered, there are girls who are running after me so I can say two words to them and then there is this creature" Hiccup said waving his hands that were pointed to Merida.

"Who tries to decline everyone of my kind offers" he finnished.

"But then this creature still doesn't get a hint" Merida said waving her hands that are directed to Hiccup.

"You two are a cute couple" An old lady commented walking out.

"Thank you, we try our best!"Hiccup said waving to the woman.

"Ouch" he muttered when Merida punched him onthe shoulder.

Tadashi shook his head and grinned, "you know if you two keep that going. You will eventually fall in love after all this is a love cafe"

"Tadashi if you and Honey Lemon met here, doesn't mean its the love cafe" Merida objected.

"Wait Tadashi and Honey Lemon met here" Hiccup asked and Merida gave him a quizzical look.

"You don't know how Tadashi and Honey Lemon met?" Merida asked.

"No" Hiccup replied.

"Well sit down! Its story time kiddo" Merida said pulling out a chair and pushing Hiccup on it.

"I think I can tell it myself" Tadashi said coming towards them.

"Shut up, a love story always needs a third person pov. Besides I never get to tell it"

"But!" Tadashi objected.

"Shush" Merida shouted turning back to Hiccup.

"It was a stormy Tuesday evening, it was raining heavily. Me, Hiro and Aunt Cass were sitting upstairs watching tv and Tadashi was downstairs cleaning up. The rain drops could be heard inthe empty cafe
Dip, dip, dip" Merida said dramatically.

"And suddenly! Bang! Bang!" She shouted causing Hicc to jump.

"There was someone at the door, Tadashi cautiously approached the door. We slowly walked down, and witnessed the door open and then as the door opened , Tadashi suddenly froze. We thought at first Voldemart had come, I mean who else comes at this creepy hour"

"We were ready to run upstairs and let Tadashi face his doom. I mean it's more tragic for four poeple to die, then one" Merida stated.

"And that's the day I found out, such a loving family I have ready to leave me to die" Tadashi said rolling his eyes. He's literally gonna die inthe future.

Hiccup chuckled, he felt glad that he now belonged to such a crazy group of friends.

"But then his lips started moving, he was mumbling I..I...I...I." Merida said making a dumbfounded expression to which Hiccup laughed so much his stomach hurt.

"Hey! I so did not sound like that!!" Tadashi protested.

"Yes you did" Merida said crossing her arms smirking.

"Fine sister its on"

"Hey! Hiccup, few days back Merida told me that you look cute whe-mmmmm" Merida covered his mouth. Haha this is brings back, good memories.

"There are somethings that should stay inthe friendship pact" Merida hissed at him.

"Hiccup is our friend, I didn't break the rule" Tadashi grinned.

"I think we should get going now, it's getting dark" Hiccup commented, he was trying his best to hide a smirk which made Merida red.

"So you think I am cute when?" Hiccup asked with a grin as they walked silently.

"When your angry.Don't get cocky its just a fact" Merida said looking away.

"Oh okay. You know I have few facts about you too" He said his arms behind his back.

"And there are?"

"Curious are we?" Hiccup teased.

"Not at all, keep them to yourself" she said as they approached her apartment building.

"Well you have a bear named, after a real bear that attacked your father and you used to shoot him when you were angry. Your favorite colour is blue but you lie to poeple that its red, because that's what your teacher brainwashed you about and that's enough for today!" Hiccup said running away leaving Merida dumbstruck.

"Oh and your my date! To the Halloween party at school. Don't forget your arrows Katniss!!" He shouted still running.

Merida smiled, as she went inside. There is something about him that is different and she liked it.

4 months later

"Draw two, please pick two cards" Tadashi grinned.

"Ugh" Merida groaned taking two cards.

"You seem distracted everything okay" he asked.

"I don't see Hiccup or Hiro anywhere" she asked looking around.

"Can I ask you a question?" Tadashi asked taking the can of coke away from Merida.

"Sure" Merida said picking another card from the pile.

"Do you have a crush on Hiccup?" He asked and Merida's eyes widened.

"No ofcourse not" she said shaking her head.

"Oh come on there is something going on, even Honey lemon sensed something when she came to the cafe the other day" Tadashi said grinning widely.

"Nothing is going..on..we j-just friends" Merida stuttered turning red.

"UNO, I win!!" Tadashi cheered throwing the last card inthe pile.

"You!! That's cheating!" Merida said getting angry.

"The tables have turned" was all Tadashi said.

"Hi guys who won?" Hiccup asked sitting beside Merida.

"Me" Tadashi grinned.

"Only because you cheated!," Merida declared.

"Oh really Mer, can you please explain to Hiccup in detail how I cheated" Tadashi smirked.

"You are evil" Merida hissed glaring at him.

"Whatever" Tadashi said standing up collecting his cards.

The school bell rang, Merida and Hiccup headed inside while Tadashi waited for his little brother.

"So did the trick work?" He asked his little brother, ruffling his over grown black hair.

"Worked like a charm, I owe you one bro. This is the first time I defeated him" Hiro cheered.

"Good to know I could help you out" Tadashi said walking inside.

Lunch time

"Here could that idoit be," Merida muttered under her breath.

She was looking for Hiccup but couldn't find him anywhere. Tadashi and Hiro were waiting for them inthe car.

"Oh Hiccup your so funny" she heard someone giggle.

Merida finally spotted Hiccup in class talking to a girl with straight honey blonde hair and brown eyes.

"So you will call me?" She asked with another giggle.

"Ofcourse I will call you" he said grinned, At first Merida was angry wanting to burst in there and punch him hard but then she took a deep breath, she realized she should be angry with herself. Hiccup treated her like good friend and it was her fault she was putting so many expectations from him. He would ofcourse date those other girls with perfect hair and beautiful clear voices. Merida sighed sadly going back outside. The only way these feelings would stop, if she stopped talking to him, meeting him. It was for the better.

"Hey Mer where-nevermind" Tadashi said as Merida slammed the car door shut up.

Her arms were crossed and she was muttering something under her breath. A few minutes later, Hiccup climbed inthe back beside Hiro and Tadashi started the car.

They went to their favorite ice cream shop,.

"So Mer, your coming over for homework right?" Hiccup asked Merida who was silently eating her ice cream.

Tadashi and Hiro shot there head towards Merida who was silent for a moment before she replied.

"No, Hiro will help me with it. I don't want to disturb you" Merida mumbled poking her ice cream with her spoon

Hiro and Tadashi shared a look. Something big is gonna happen.

"Yea sure Mer. I will help you" Hiro interupped laughing nervously.

"wait a minute!" Hiccup said raising

"Mer what are you talking about?" He asked confused.

"Nothing, some stupid ideas in my head that's all" Merida said getting up and walking out of the door.

"Wait !, Mer!" Hiccup said running after her.

Merida was about to get inthe car but Hiccup grabbed her hand.

"Merida can you please explain what's going on with you" Hiccup asked.

"I can't! I don't know why but from the day I have met you. I have feeling we have met before and sometimes I get these visions of the younger versions of us talking, playing, sharing problems and all. I started liking you but it can been seen clearly that you are interested in more prettier girls and I can't blame you!!. Ofcourse why would you like me when you can date them, who are prettier, smarter and who aren't hot headed like me. So I decided to clear your way, it's better that we don't hangout anymore. Much easier for you and much easier for me!! " Merida shouted her face turning red, finally she let go of all the frustration. She took support leaning against the car not wanting to hear what Hiccup was going to say, she turned her head to the opposite direction.

There was a moment of silence, Hiccup was standing there wide eyed looking at the figure infront of him. She likes him, but then all the other words also start filling his head.

Now it was Hiccup's turn to be angry, " Your an idoit! If you think I will ever choose those girls over you!. I don't care if they are prettier or smarter! And don't you dare talk about leaving my life again! I found you after 5 years!!. I not letting go of you now! And for your information I don't like you! I love you!." Hiccup shouted back and suddenly tears started falling on his face.

Merida's face softened, seeing Hiccup suddenly break down. She was for the first time had witnessed him being so emotional and that was because for her.

"Hic I.." Merida said reaching out him but Hiccup stopped.

"Hear me out, Mer" he shouted.

"Do you know how hard it was for me, to cope with the fact that you forgot about me especially when you promised you will never. 6 months later after my car accident, I came back to school and I waited in our secert hideout, I waited but you never came. I thought you forgot about me and that broke my heart. Later I found out you had left the school. I cried so much that night, I had lost you. The only person who understood me and now your talking about leaving ag-" He said crying harder and Merida hugged him.

"It's ok, I am not going any where. I am with you" she whispered crying herself.

"And I am sorry I can't remember all of our memories" she looking in his green eyes, which twinkled with happiness.

"Don't worry we will make new ones"

Now maybe you understand, how hurt Hiccup was that he wasn't able to tell Merida how he felt and he couldn't even know if she liked him back. She was gone from his life before he could utter those words.

Well you might wanna know a few other things as well like how they met inthe first place. Merida as told before went to a only girls school and there was a only boys school adjacent to it. This inspiration is from my own school. There was a small wood in between the two schools, where there wasn't a wall. One day Merida sick and tired of all the bullying ran into the woods , same for Hiccup and that's how they met.

Well another thing is this chapter is an experiment. The experiment of using new Chracters. So did you like Tadashi and Hiro?

Why I used Tadashi and Hiro?, there are two reasons for that.

Merida didn't really like hanging out with girls, after her whole experience inthat school so I couldn't use Elsa, Anna or Repunzal. Flynn and Jack are used alot by me . I wanted to do a little change and the Hamanda brothers brought new life inthe story. Second of all I wanted a little over protective brotherly type bestfriend and Tadashi fits it perfectly.

2, I love the chemistry between Merida and Tadashi. They are such fun to work with. A few weeks back, I was trying to convince a friend who was meradshi shipper and she was trying to convince me. So i gave her a Merricup book to read and she gave meradashi one. Well let me tell you, that was one of the best written books ever even though it was Merricup vs Meradshi.
Don't worry guys I still love Merricup, but the friendship inthe first three chapters was awesome. It wasn't the type of friendship you want to turn into a relationship but the author did a great job at it. Although I did feel bad for Hiccup. Don't worry guys OTP status still Merricup. I wish I could put the link here but sadly she deleted her account. I am glad I got to read it though.

It's beautiful story, its about sacrifice, makes you cry but its okay I should shut up now I think you guys are looking at the screen like this.
