Merida, Hiccup, Repunzal and Flynn were watching a movie but nobody could concentrate because of Elsa occasionally shouting for Repunzal's help.

Jack was nowhere to be found, there was some tension between him and Elsa. The gang didn't have a single clue about what had happened. They just knew that two days ago something happened when they both went for ice skating and from then on there was something wrong . They weren't casually talking like usual, Jack wasn't teasing her anymore and Elsa wasn't playfully scolding him or anything as such. As if there was some invisible barrier between them.

Finally the gang gave up on watching the movie and Flynn shut the tv.

"So how did your day go?" Repunzal asked the three. Trying to start a conversation

"Fine" the three said in unison ending the conversation. Repunzal looked at Merida for help but she was busy typing on her phone. Suddenly a topic sparked in her mind that would have everyone involved.

"So Merida how is Theo?" Repunzal asked causing Hiccup and Flynn's head to shoot up for two very different reasons.

Incase you don't know who Theo is, let me introduce you to him. A few weeks back Merida had gone to Huawei for a month to animate the Huawein scenery for the upcoming movie. There she befriended Theo who worked inthe sound department, Theo is a 28 year-old man, who has soft dirty blonde hair which falls in his choclate brown eyes and slightly tanned skin, he is tall and lean and has this beautiful unidentified accent. Funny thing is He used to be a child actor but then choose a different career inthe industry and oh i forgot to mention Hiccup hates him.

"He's good" Merida replied still on her phone.

"Just good tell us the details" Flynn said pretending to excited like Punzie, he loved annoying Hiccup. Hiccup shot him a glare.

"Well his son is visiting him cause his ex-wife is a on vacation with her new husband" Merida said sitting up straight.

"How old is Edward?" Repunzal asked.

"Well he is turning five next month" Merida replied.

"You know alot about his son. Are you sure you two aren't having some stepmother and son bonding time" Flynn teased and Merida glared at him.

"I am pretty that's not so hard to remember, when he is shouting i am gonna be five next month!! Everywhere inthe office" Merida shouted her face slightly turning red.

Flynn could be down right annoying sometimes, he knew how touchy was the topic with Hiccup and yet he still teased her about this. Merida wasn't mad at Hiccup for being jealous at nothing because it's human nature you are protective over the things you love. Besides she herself sometimes gets jealous of Hiccup and his friend, Astrid's closeness but her jealousy was nothing compared to Hiccup's and Merida wasn't ready to dissolve her friendship with Theo as well , he had been a great friend to her and helped her alot in Huawei, since it had been her first time travelling with her office. So as a solution Merida just downright avoided the topic infront of Hiccup and tried her best not to tell too much detail if someone, mostly Rapunzal asked about him.

"He's at the office?" Rapunzal asked.

"Who?"Merida asked as her chain of thoughts broke.

"Theo's son, duh" Rapunzal asked.

"Yeah where else he can be, Theo doesn't trust babysitters besides our office is like a child's dreamland so Ed has a great time there since Wendy is mostly taking care of him and telling him stories" Merida replied slightly glancing at Hiccup who looked normal.
Good, she hadn't said anything too much.

The conversation proceeded without anymore mention of Theo or his son and everything went well till Rapunzal asked another question.

"So how's the engagement preparations going?" Repunzal asked her two friends.

Merida sighed," To be honest I have no idea. I have been so busy with recreating of the frames that I didn't even have time to ask mum" she explained resting her head on Hiccup's shoulder.

"Well we have dinner with them tommorow, so I am pretty sure we have alot of discussion to do" he said playfully ruffling Merida's hair as she stuck her tongue out.

Rapunzal sighed in relief, atleast they are back to normal sometimes. It looked the whole group was going through relationship crisis well except her and Flynn ofcourse. There should be a relationship to be in crisis for.

"So what's Elsa getting ready for?" Flynn asked.

"Well she's got a date with this guy named Jake" Repunzal replied.

As if on que the doorbell rang,

"Someone get it!!" Elsa shouted from the closed door.

Merida stood up walking towards the door.

"Who is i- Jack?" She asked confused.

Jack was standing there but he had brown hair and brown eyes.

"No actually it's Jake. I am Elsa's date. Nice to meet you" the man said politely taking out his hand to shake.

Merida shook his hand politely, " Elsa is getting ready why don't you have a seat?" She offered opening the door wider.

"Thank you" he said going inside and Merida followed.

"Guys this is Jake" Merida introduced and loud gasp were heard from everyone before they regained themselves and greeted him.

After a moment of silence Hiccup asked.

"So Jake do you have any siblings, a twin brother perhaps?" Hiccup asked curiously.

Jake shook his head in confusion, " Actually I am the only child and my parents were also only child so I don't really have a big family" he answered.

"Oh, Anyway I am Elsa's cousin Rapunzal" she introduced.

"And we are her friends" Eugene introduced and Jake gave a polite smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all" he said.

"I am ready. Sorry Jake" Elsa said coming out of her room and Jake shook his head and slightly chuckled.

"It's ok, actually I was having a great time knowing your friends" he answered as they headed out of the door.

As soon as they left the four shared a
horrified look. "Where did she find him?" Merida asked.

"Well he is too nice to be related to Jack" Hiccup stated shaking his head in disbelief.

"God knows how Jack will react to Jake" Repunzal said.

"Actually this is a good thing, if we ever lose Jack. We have a new and a more improved version of him" Flynn added and Merida highfived him.

Few days later

"Hi Wen, can you do me a favour and take these Mrs Clark. Punz is waiting for me outside" Merida asked dumping the sketches on Wendy's desk.

"Sure" Wendy said her eyes still onthe screen.

Merida began to walk away but was stopped by her friend.

"Oh and Mer, Theo was looking for you. He said you weren't in your office" she said facing Merida.

"Yea I was with Andrea today, we were working in her cabin and I also had lunch with her so that's why I couldn't join you guys" Merida replied and Wendy gave her the are you kidding me look.

Wendy sighed turning back to her friend, "Well if you wait a moment. You can catch up with him. He said that he had to ask you something"

"Sorry but I really should get going, I think I will call him" Merida replied with a hint of nervousness.

"Fine just one more question, are you two playing hide and seek?, cause one is constantly seeking and the other is trying her best not be found by him" Wendy asked critically her blue eyes holding a strict expression.

Merida shook her head and managed a weak chuckle, "No! Nothing like that"

"Mer I am serious. This is all happening after that incident that happend 3 days ago right?" Wendy asked with a concerned look.

"Wen what are you talking about! That incident isn't even related to me. He was just talking about this girl he liked and that he had no chance with her" Merida said nervously trying her best to sound casual but it wasn't working.

"Yea and just by chance he was looking at you dead inthe eye" Wendy said sarcastically, her patience really hanging from it's edge.

"Merida, don't pretend that you didn't notice, all three of us noticed. Heck even Peter noticed it. Look Mer, I am really sorry to hide this from you but I have known Theo longer than I have known my own Faince. He really likes you Mer, from a very longtime.Even before you guys were friends and I know-" Wendy started explaining but was cut off by Merida.

"Oh god, this is terrible. At first I thought it was my imagination but now.... Your not pranking me are you?" Merida asked desperately wishing that Wendy was joking but Wendy just shook her head sadly.

"I wish I was, I mean things just got so complicated. I know you love your boyfriend and you guys are getting engaged next month and I can understand you definitely don't want to leave Hiccup. I can never leave Peter for anybody as well but Theo is like a older brother to me and after such a longtime of misery I want to see him happy with someone" Wendy said looking down.

"Wendy but you know that I am not that someone. It's too late. I already love someone else." Merida said getting stressed after speaking every word.

" You just need to break that to him because he won't move on till you tell him to"

Few hours later

The apartment was filled with friends. They were celebrating Rapunzal's promotion at work.

Poeple chatted away enjoying the drinks and food, it felt good change after a exhausting week. A great way to spend your friday night.

Merida was feeling sick, literally sick. She didn't want to talk, she didn't want to eat. All she wanted to do was go home and have a good scream of frustration. She was never used to such things and she  didn't who to talk to. It felt just too awkward.

"Mer you okay," Hiccup asked coming over to her with a worried look.

"Yeah" she mumbled glumly.

Hiccup put his hand on her forehead " Your not running a fever. What's the matter. I have never seen you so defeated" he asked sitting beside her and taking her hand.

"I am just tired and I have go to work tommorow as well. So I just wanna go home and sleep but I can't leave Punz on her big night" Merida said.

"You have work tomorrow too,?" Hiccup asked surprised and Merida nodded.

"Well we have this last frame which is due Monday, so me, Andrea, Jenny and Louise will be there along with the sound department poeple." Merida murmured and suddenly her eyes widened in realization. Theo is going to be there as well and she couldn't avoid him when they are working together for the next three hours and especially when their both in charge of their groups.

This just made her feel more sick.

"Ah you poor baby boo" Hiccup teased pinching her nose lightly.

Merida giggled a little and rested her head on his shoulder. They both sat in silence for a while before Merida spoke up again.

"I see your friends, you don't need to stay with me. I am a big girl I can tie shoe laces on my own" Merida joked.

Hiccup chuckled, his expression then turned serious " You sure?". He asked slightly worried.

"I am positive" Merida managed a grin. Hiccup stood up and joined his friends.

Merida decided to amuse herself by looking at the poeple inthe party. Repunzal was inthe middle surrounded by her work friends. Eugene had his own group of ladies to entertain, Jack was talking to his friend Sandy (who isn't mute) but he was glancing back at Elsa who was with Jake and some of her neighbors.

Elsa was trying her best to ignore Jack's glances but herself was glancing back at him when she thought he wasn't watching.

Jake noticed these glances but didn't even looked slightly bothered. He looked happy which Merida found shocking.

Merida sighed, everyone was busy with their friends and there she was all lonely. She wished she invited her friends from work but Wendy and Peter had a date night leaving only Theo. Well he wouldn't be able to come anyway, he can't leave Edward alone at night. That's a good thing for the time being.

"Well don't mind if I  join you" a fimilair cheerful voice said and Merida looked beside her to see Jake standing.

"Sure have a seat" Merida invited.

"So this is officially the loners corner" he joked.

"Yeah" Merida replied still observing the poeple.

"You know what's the saddest thing in life, to be in a room full of poeple and still feel alone but that's not the problem with you. Right?" Jake asked looking at her keenly for an answer.

Merida looked at him surprised, Jake sighed and continued " Since your not gonna give me an answer let me guess it. You are dealing with this huge emotional stress right now and your not sure who to ask for help. Your boyfriend/bestfriend/future husband is the one with whom you share most problems with but inthis case your afraid to approach him for help so this means most likely it has a guy involved and not just any guy, that guy is your friend. Someone you care about that's why you are thinking this through so much otherwise you would gave him the scolding and beating of a lifetime. So now your emotionally tied and frustrated to the extreme." Jake finnished and turned back to Merida who had a stunned expression.

"How did you figure this out?" She asked and Jake shrugged.

"I am psychologist, my job is to observe and study human nature. As soon as you walked into the door, I could sense tension and stress in each and everyone movement of yours. I also noticed when you were talking to Hiccup, you had this urge to ask help for this current matter but stopped yourself. That was a wise decision for the time being but you have to tell him some day because he isn't gonna be mad at you for this whole thing, he is a smart and understanding guy. A rare type but if he finds out by someone else he will feel betrayed and his trust from your side will be broken" Jake stated.

"So your gonna help me?" Merida asked feeling hopeful and Jake nodded.

"Yes but I first need to know all the details so I can help you accordingly" Jake said.

And do the poeple who think Merida is over reacting to the whole situation. She isn't, she is trying her best to save a important relationship.

"Elisabeth"

"Jackson"

The two glared eachother with their cold blue eyes. No one noticed everyone was too busy conversing with their friends.

"So I see you have lost your boyfriend" Jack grinned mischievously seeing Elsa's puffed up cheeks.

"Well atleast I have one." Elsa shot back.

"Oh I am hurt!. Atleast when I get a girlfriend, her name won't be Elisa and she won't be a duplicate of you"

"That's just a mere concidence" Elsa stated.

"Come on Els, I thought you were smart. Come up with a better excuse" Jack shot back.

"Ooh burn, Elsa say something sassy" Jake silently cheered observing the fight inthe kitchen.

"What the hell" Merida muttered looking at Jelsa then back at Jake who was having the time of his life.

"What!, it's not every day you get see such a great fight!!" Jake protested.

"Isn't she your girlfriend?" Merida challenged.

"Correction. Fake girlfriend and if your wondering yes this is another one of my bright ideas. Am I not great" he cheered and Merida laughed at his enthusiasm.

"What are you cupid inthe twenty first century?" She asked playfully.

"Something like that" he smirked and for a second Merida saw his eyes turn red.

"So what relation you have with Elsa?"

"We are simply book buddies and sometimes Elsa tells me her problems since you know I am psychologist and I tell her solutions." He replied.

"You don't like Elsa at all then"

"Nah, she's a great girl but I would prefer someone more bubbly and jumpy." Jake said looking wistfully at the fimilair golden blonde who just ran to meet more of her friends who just had arrived.

Merida almost choked on her drink, observing the scenario.

"But-"

"I know Eugene likes her too but still.....I... Your not the only one who can have a love traingle" Jake defended himself

Merida jumped looking around hoping no one heard. Luckily no one took notice.

"Idoit keep your volume low" she hissed and he gave her apologetic look.

Next morning

Merida looked out of the window, just two more days of work and then a month holiday. How much she was waiting for the holidays. Finally she was going to relax and think about everything.

"Earth to Merida" Theo said snapping his light tanned fingers at her.

"Oh hi Theo" Merida greeted trying her best to stay normal.

"Good morning Mer, hope you know that you can't daydream during work" he teased and Merida relaxed as she remembered Jake's words Enjoy your time while you can.

" Work hasn't started yet for your kind information" she shot back.

"Besides Saturday and work don't go along well" Merida said slightly yawning.

Theo relaxed a little as well, " Well it's just this and then the meeting on Monday. Then a month of holidays" he grinned slightly.

"True so true. Anyway where is Ed?" Merida asked looking around.

"Mrs Hennan's grandchildren had come for a visit since yesterday and Ed befriended one of her grandchildren so she is babysitting him today" Theo replied.

Merida fake gasped, " Don't you know how dangerous it is to leave your child with an elderly woman who is your neighbor for the past ten years" she joked, it was normal thing. She and Peter always teased Theo on his lack of trust issue thankfully he never minded it.

"Well, I love to see how high your trust level would be if your spouse leaves you inthe middle of the night with no explanation whatsoever. The next morning you wake to your one year-old crying and a note saying your wife, who was perfectly fine till yesterday has left you for good and later will come to take your child away as well" he said sarcastically.

"You know, it's not good to make us feel guilty all the time with that story" Merida said with a apologetic look.

"I know but it's great revenge. So I will use it as long as I live" Theo grinned evilly.

"So what's your Saturday plan, taking Edward somewhere?" Merida asked as they started walking towards the studio.

"Actually my Saturday will be spent packing, Ed's stuff. Julia is coming to pick him up on Sunday" Theo sighed sadly, digging his hands in his coat pocket as they kept walking.

Merida gave him a sad smile, Theo didn't like meeting Julia. It's not like he still loved or anything, he just didn't want to face Julia after what she had done to him. It was really hard for him.

They both were children of actors who had worked in a soap opera together. The two friends decided that later if one had a girl and another had a boy they would arrange a marriage between them and that's what happened.

Julia to be very honest was a very nice person, Merida had met her when she and Wendy went to pick Edward from her. She had long black hair, ocean blue eyes and pale skin. She use to be a model and no doubt, she and Theo were a very beautiful couple.

Anyway they both tried their best to let the marriage work but divorce was in  un- avoidable. They both just wanted different things in life. Julia had enough of the fame life and just wanted to live peacefully but Theo was determined to work hard for his career and he honestly started to feel like he was anchored down by Julia and Julia felt the same. So she decided clear the path and that's why she left.

"If you want, I can take Edward to Julia" Merida offered and Theo shook his head and smiled.

"No need, Peter is already doing that. I am glad I have such caring friends"he replied and Merida smirked.

"What would you do without us," she teased and Theo shook his head playfully. "One compliment and poeple get cocky"

With Hiccup

"Jake I have no idea what do?. I hate that guy" Hiccup stated frustrated and Jake shook his head disapprovingly.

"And why do you hate him?, cause he's close to Merida and maybe MAYBE likes her. That's a really stupid reason to be honest" Jake replied.

"Ha, if you were in my situation you would know"

"First of all the last time I checked, I was a human not a tin man with no heart, I have almost the same problem as you." Jake is referring to his fake relationship with Elsa

"Second, I know what you are trying to say. You want Merida to befriend guys who you know or are either married or in a relationship. The world doesn't work like this Hiccup and your just being a hypocrite inthis matter. Last time I checked, you have this friend named Astrid and you two spend time together. Merida doesn't hate Astrid because she knows you love her and only her but you are showing to her that you don't trust her and if you keep this going and I am pretty sure this ship will sink like the titanic and when I say titanic I mean you guys will end things really dramatically and it will be gone for good. Do you want that Hiccup?,..... Do you want to lose Merida?" Jake asked rising up from his seat.

Hiccup didn't answer, he knew that Jake was right. Merida would take alot of things in but one day she will be sick of this and leave for good. Heck even he would do the same.

Jake sighed sitting next to a tensed Hiccup and patting his shoulder in comfort.

"Hiccup buddy, look I know this might be hard for you but you need to accept the fact that Theo is really important to Merida and she really cares about him. As a friend. Look Merida might not show this but all girls try their best to keep everyone happy, they are sensitive of getting others hurt. You can't let this jealousy ruin such a beautiful relationship. Be there for her, in every situation. She will need you soon and if you fail to be there for her at that time then I am sorry, all is lost then" Jake said leaving his office to gave Hiccup space.

Back to Merida

"Thank you everyone, hope you have a nice Saturday" Theo said as everyone started packing up the stuff.

Finally they packed up and said goodbye to eachother as they headed out of the door.

"Peter and Wendy are so lucky!" Merida said as they both headed out of the building.

Peter and Wendy last working day was Friday.

"Well, i think I will hit the hay as soon I reach home. I can barely open my eyes now." She added and Theo chuckled.

"After spending hours infront of the screen. I am not at all surprised. My ear drums are ringing as well." He said rubbing his ears.

"I am gonna message Hiccup that I am not coming over to Rapunzal and Elsa's today. So they don't need to wait for me" Merida said taking out her phone.

Theo tensed hearing Hiccup's name," we have to face another Monday. This time Ed won't be there to wake me up. I am gonna miss him so much. I don't need even know when I am going to see him again" Theo said looking down sadly, he kicked a pebble and then looked up again with a smile.

"So why don't we have a farewell lunch?, you and me. No need to invite Peter and Wendy. They didn't invite us in their lunch." Theo said with a childish pout.

"Sounds like a great revenge" Merida said shaking his hand.

They both said goodbye and walks towards there own cars. Maybe this isn't so bad, I mean Theo was pretty much Theo the whole day. I just hope this topic doesn't spring up soon. She thought getting into her car.

Few hours later, Rapunzal and Elsa's apartment.

"This is not fun" Repunzal muttered as took her place back at the couch.

"Yea Saturday isn't Saturday till the whole group is present" Elsa said taking eating fried chicken.

"This kinda reminds me of the time when Merida went to Huawei for a whole month  and then sometimes we forgot that she had gone, like we use to set her plate as well, on Sundays Rapunzal once made her share of waffles and even made her special type of coffee, and like once I accidentally even bought her movie ticket for Fast and the Furious 7. " Eugene reminded and the group sighed sadly. It was really tough time indeed.

"And when inthe end, when the song came. It's been long day without you my friend, and i'll tell you all about it when I see you again everyone almost cried at that part." Eugene added

"Actually almost only refers to you and Jack. The three of us cried rivers" Elsa wiping a stray tear.

"Merida's work is taking us away from her" Rapunzal said dramatically.

"Merida's work isn't taking us away from her. Her new friends are" Jack stated coming from the kitchen.

"Maybe Peter, Wendy and Theo are more interesting than us" Rapunzal sighed sadly.

They heard the door open behind them as Hiccup entered with a smile on his face.

"Is Merida coming?" Rapunzal asked Hiccup.

Hiccup shook his head, "Nah, she's too tired. I was just talking to her onthe phone and she fell asleep while talking to me"

"Awww" Rapunzal cooed,.

"And Jack I overheard you, Merida's work friends aren't stealing her from us. She is busy because of this whole project and from Tuesday it's her break so she will be will spend more time with us again" Hiccup stated firmly.

"Oh really Hiccup?, not even Theo" Jack asked, Hiccup had just caught him in a bad day.

"Not even Theo, he is just a close friend to her. Theo is a great guy. I agree I misjudged him as well but I am willing to give him a second chance. If he's important to Merida then I need to respect him like she respects my friends. End of the discussion" Hiccup said heading to the kitchen.

The four poeple were stunned, "What happened to Hiccup all of a sudden?" Flynn asked breaking the silence.

"He needs to be shaken back to his senses" Jack said standing up and forming a fist, his face red with anger.

"Wait, he's right" Elsa said pulling Jack back from the back of his shirt.

Monday

Theo and Merida

"My friends sometimes are really mad at me for neglecting them over you guys and work but on Sunday when I met them they were acting normal and even Jack didn't say anything rude. You have no idea how surprised i was"

"That's good for you. You have alot of friends and me I just have three and you know why" Theo raising his spoon as he waited for an answer.

Merida rolled her eyes," Cause you have trust issues." She answered

"And when I was younger poeple just used to be my friend so they can say I am friends with Theo Anderson who came inthe show Dark and light and did alot of famous movies. So that resulted in lot of fake friends but I am glad to find my idoits" he grinned and they both shared a hearty laugh before awkward silence filled the space.

Theo sat up more in his seat and leaned a little forward towards the table. His choclate brown eyes fixed on Merida as he cleared his throat a little.

The silence remained for two more seconds before Theo spoke up again " Merida, look I have two very important news to tell you. One is personal and other is professional which one do you want to hear first?" He asked looking intensely at her.

Merida was scared, the time had finally come. Why did it have to come so early?, couldn't they just live without this conversation.

"Theo, do we..we. have to?" Merida asked softly.

"Yes, I am afraid there isn't much time. So choose?" He demanded.

"Personal" she replied, after thinking for a moment. I know any sane person would choose Professional but Merida was Merida. She wanted the important matter to be solved first then any secondry problem could be solved.

Theo sighed, taking another deep breath as he was inhaling courage instead of air.

Merida sat there patiently, she knew her answer but how she would gave her answer to him with a straight face. She wasn't that brave. She would probably end up crying.

Finally Theo started speaking " I know this isn't easy. I mean you have a boyfriend but I really need to tell you this. Please listen to me" He said softly and Merida unsurely nodded.

"I am in love with you. I am crazily in love with you Merida Dunbroch. I am in love with you since the day you accidentally slapped me. Yes I am in love with you for a year and a half. Believe me, when I see you smile I forget every pain. When I see you sad, I wanna punch the person or thing that made you sad. My whole happiness depends on you and I just want to know if..there is a chance for me?" Theo asked with a hopeful glint in his eyes.

After 5 whole seconds of painful silence, Merida replied her eyes fixed on the table and her fingers nervously tracing the surface.

"Honestly...I don't know what to say. I am really flattered to be honest...and I care about you too, Theo but not inthe way you want me to or in a way you do.I was really scared when Wendy gave me the hint not because your a scary guy but because I didn't know how to react to the whole situation.  It would kill me to see you hurt because of me. Your such a great guy and you deserve someone much better than me. Someone who can return those feelings back but I am sorry I am not that one" Merida finnished, her blue eyes holding a apologetic look and she gave a uneasy smile to her friend.

Theo sighed sadly,"It's ok, I kinda expected this but it still hurts, no matter how much you prepare for it. Rejection still hurts but they say if you love someone you let them go. Not that I had you inthe first place but it's ok. I can manage. I can understand. I mean you look so happy with Hiccup that I can't possibly imagine that I tried tearing you apart from him. I am just glad I managed to tell you how I feel. I feel so much lighter. I hope you have happy life with him because I myself have given up on love" he said returning the uneasy smile.

Merida smiled and they shared a hug. " I feel lighter too knowing that we had this conversation and we are still good. I was honestly afaird of the consequences because you know I really don't want to lose you.

"Well glad to hear I have some importance" Theo joked and Merida punched his shoulder.

"So what was the other news?" Merida asked trying to lighten the topic.

"I got a new job,...in Australia" he replied and Merida's face fell.

"I just found out on Saturday evening. I will work for the S.F.S. I still can't believe it!, I mean the S.F.S" he said with a excited smile and for a moment, the tension disappeared from the air. Merida was really happy for her friend. Every animator's dream was to work for S.F.S. It was top animation studio for the last decade.

"That's great!, I am so happy for you" Merida smiled but then again tension entered.

"So when are you leaving" Merida asked her voice almost a whisper.

"In about two weeks time, I don't have much time so packing starts today. I still have to tell Wendy and Peter. I am pretty sure they will kill me" Theo joked but Merida wasn't in a mood for jokes.

"So when will you..come back?" Merida asked.

"Mer I haven't even gone yet and your asking me about coming back" Theo teased but then his face fell serious when he noticed Merida's expression.

"I don't know, maybe not for a long long time" he said looking at the floor.

"I mean it's not like I hate coming back or anything. I am gonna miss this place so much, I gonna miss my home, my friends, I am gonna miss you the most" he said taking Merida's hand.

*Merricup shippers aggressively stand up holding their weapons*. Author: " Calm down poeple". Poeple don't listen. Author shouts " For the love of Toothless calm down!". Everyone takes their seat back. Author "works every time".

" But I think it's better for me. To start a new life, in a new place, with new poeple. It will help me move on more quicker" he said giving a hurt smile.

"So this is the end?" Merida asked.

"It's not the end if you choose me" he said letting go of her hand.

"Then it is the end" She said putting her hands in her coat pocket as she looked around.

Theo simply chuckled, " Your so stubborn but so loyal. I hope some day I can find another you "

Then tension is taken over by awkwardness,

"Then this is goodbye then." Theo said awkwardly.

"Well goodbye. I wish you the best but remember this isn't a forever goodbye."

"I'll keep that in mind"

Saying goodbye is hard. You don't believe that the person you see everyday won't be there now. You don't know how to feel when you hear the news. Your angry, sad and happy for the person all at the same time. Goodbyes are awkward you don't even believe them yourself. In short your in denial yourself but slowly slowly you adjust because that's how it is. You learn to live without that person and have memories of them which you often recall and smile at but it isn't that easy, there is this depressing state in between as well. In which you miss the person terribly. Random things remind you of them and sometimes calling them makes you feel more sick. That's when you need comfort.

Hiccup's apartment
3 hours later

"Why isn't Merida answering?" Hiccup said standing up from his couch.

"Meow" Toothless said jumping onthe couch looking at Hiccup with curious eyes.

"Bud I think I am gonna go check on Merida. Take care of the house" Hiccup said taking his coat and Toothless who now jumped onthe table nodded like as if he understood.

"Smart cat" Hiccup said patting Toothless's head.

Hiccup opened the door and saw a flash of red before he knew he was tackled into a hug.

"Mer! What are you doing?" Hiccup asked confused.

"Trying to feel better" Merida replied her voice muffled against the fabric of his shirt.

"And hugging me helps?" Hiccup chuckled as he wrapped an arm around her.

"You don't know how much"

"Are you gonna tell me what happened?" He asked.

"Yea, just five more minutes" Merida replied hugging him tighter.

"Sure take your time. I am not complaining".

Just five seconds and Merricup steals the whole show. Who else I died at this part. Hahaha it's so cute. Perfect relationship.

Ok this story revolved around Merida. Not even Merricup. It was totally Merida. Yes you are confused. Let me explain.
