Hiccup smiled hearing his little daughter's adventures with her friend.

"Thats great" Hiccup smiled ruffling his daughters messy red curls.

They were waiting outside inthe school hallway. It was Marinette's first parent teacher meeting. Hiccup was eagerly waiting to hear his daughter's progress.

"Next Mister Haddock" the assistant teacher called from the doorway.

Hiccup stood up and ruffled his hair. He waved at Marinette who flashed him a good luck sign and then he went inside.

"The teacher will be back in a moment" the assistant said as Hiccup took a seat and took a sharp breath.

He closed his eyes and tried to relax. This school brought back alot of memories. The fun days and heartbreaking goodbye as well.

He heard the door open and close behind.

"Welcome Mister Haddock" a fimiliar voice said.

"Hello Hiccup" Merida said smiling pleasantly at him

"How is Astrid?" She asked with a real smile on her face.

"Merida? How?" Was all Hiccup managed to say.

"Aww comeon Hiccup, I know we didn't say goodbye inthe best terms but atleast smile while talking to your childhood bestfriend" Merida said taking out Marinette's report card.

"Marinette is a very smart student, I am not surprised by her excellent behaviour. She gets a little aggressive and possessive with her toys other than that she is a little competitive just like-"

"Astrid. Merida tell me what happened that day?" Hiccup cut her off.

"Excuse me?" Merida asked raising her eyebrow.

"You know 7 years ago. This very same school's park. Our hangout area" Hiccup asked breathing heavily and sweating.

"Hiccup look, it took me alot of time and energy for me to forget us and I dont want to open those old wounds again" Merida said slightly gritting her teeth.

"Please this question has haunted me for 7 years. I need anwsers" Hiccup asked a tear slipped from his eyes.

"Ask Astrid about it. My job only right now is to tell your that could have been our daughter's result" Merida shouted slamming her fist onthe table.

"Astrid is dead. She died during childbirth but in her last breaths she told me that she hasn't entirely been honest with me. She told me to find you and ask for the truth. I searched for you a longtime Merida, believe me. Karma has already slapped me inthe face. My daughter's red curls remind me of yours every single time of the day. Please I beg you I need anwsers" He begged

Merida huffed and looked down at her desk.

"I am sorry about your loss......I never knew your daughter doesn't have a mother. It was 6 grade Astrid and me were great friends and were inthe dodgeball team. I admitted to her I liked you. She started teasing me but said she was happy for us. 9 grade started and we had already drift apart I started spending time with Elsa,Anna, Repunzal more. Astrid felt betrayed and decided to get revenge. She started to spend time with you and I was...well...I was hurt. She knew that I liked you but still she flirted with you. I was too coward to admit my feelings to you...." Merida paused and took a deep breath.

"After you guys started dating. I was furious, I wouldn't let Astrid break your heart and crush you just because she wanted revenge from me. So that day I asked Astrid to meet me here. The last day of senior year and last day I talked to you." Merida paused and closed her eyes.
The most painful part had come.

"I scolded Astrid for using you. She admitted something that broke all my chances to be with you. She said she actually had fallen in love with you and she had joined the same university we had applied to, to keep a eye on me. I got angry and pounced on her. We started fighting and then you came here and then Astrid told you that I was the one who attacked her. Then your eyes which used to look at me with friendly love and admiration looked at me hate and disgust. Those eyes were enough to make me numb, your harshful words were just series of blur for me and I ran away"Merida finnished tears escaped her eyes as she gave a brave smile and then sniffed.

"Merida I am sorry. I really sorry. Only when you had left I realized your importance. Merida when you left I realized that you were the one I loved" Hiccup apologized

Merida wiped her tears and smiled." Wanna see our old hangout" she asked ignoring his apologizes.

"Sure" was all he said and followed her outside.

They reached the old oak tree and Hiccup touched the old surface which had their names craved in it.

"I came back that night with a knife ( no not to kill Astrid) to cut off my name but as I raised my knife to scar it but I couldn't. I didn't have enough courage" Merida sighed and smiled " but I think someone maybe will able to" she gestured to Marinette and Hiro who were playing nearby.

"Boo!!" Someone shouted from behind.

Hiccup jumped but Merida just laughed. "Tadashi come out" she shouted and a man who looked Asian wearing a cap came from behind the large oak tree.

"Hello Merry Berry. I see you finally found him again" Tadashi said putting his arm around her.

"Yep. Tadashi this is Hiccup and Hiccup this my boyfriend Tadashi Hamanda" Merida introduced and Hiccup's eyes widened.

"Hey! No need to be surprised. There a plenty of cute nerds out there" Tadashi joked and Hiccup couldn't help but smirk.

"But there are very less cute red heads out there. Thank you for giving yours to me" Tadashi said tipping his hat.

"And Thank you in advance for giving your daughter to my little brother"

"Ok ok Tadashi that's enough. Can you fill in my place for a while" Merida said pushing him towards the school.

"Trying to get rid of me huh!! Well maybe I'll meet Honey Lemon" he joked and ran into school.

"Good luck!!" Merida shouted to him and then turned back to Hiccup who was smirking.

"Seriously? You guys are teasing each other with your old lovers names? Is that even qualify as dating" he asked sitting onthe grass.

"Tadashi sure is something" he added

"Tadashi is my everything. He was the one who saved me from depression while he was still fighting with his own. After that incident . I decided to study abroad. There I met Tadashi. We were both pretty depressed. He lost his girlfriend when there was a fire in her building. Actually I got his girlfriend's empty seat. The first time we talked was when I was wearing round glasses just to look nerdy and Tadashi came up to me telling how much I looked like his girlfriend. Since both of us didn't have any friends we hung together. We shared our problems and learned to overcome it. Tadashi reminded me so much of you that, It was the reason I started hanging out with him and when we started dating we already knew about eachothers past life that we didn't bother avoiding the topic" Merida finnished and stood up.

Hiccup was feeling extremely jealous about how Merida spoke highly of Tadashi.

She gave him her hand and he stood up.

"Hiccup I hope we meet again soon and I hope you find another me"

Ok forgive me. My Merricup readers. I know I know I deserve to die but if I die then who will update the next oneshot which is full of Merricup love.

This is because of a Merricup vidoe in which Merida kept singing " I will find another you" and then it took me an hour to figure out who can be like Hiccup and then bingo Tadashi.

This is just a short oneshot which took me hardly a day to make. The real one " Save me from the dark" is in progress and i have been working on it for days.
