Fireflies And Flames

I shuffled around in the tent made for two. Yearning for the warmth of another to cuddle beside me I lay immobile. My back uncomfortably pressing against the cold, hard ground.
There is no way I'm going to be able to fall asleep comfortable...... Moving my gaze away from the ceiling I looked at the ruffled part of the blanket beside me.
The other side perfectly neat, not used in the slightest. Preston isn't going to come...... Preston loves night why would he waste one on me?
Keeping my mind drifting through the negatives I noticed small lights dancing around the camp. What were those?
They were too big to be fireflies.... And a forest fire would have been roaring....So what were they? Curiosity starting to get the better of me I dragged myself onto my knees.
Slowly crawling towards the tent door and pulling it open. To see lanterns floating around the sky by the dark side of the forest.
"Hello?" I croaked out. My voice raspy from exhaustion I forced myself onto my feet to follow the direction of the seemingly real lanterns.
Maybe this was a dream? The dirt shifting gently under my feet I continued walking.
The breeze gently tickling my face while I stumbled around in my blue hoodie and grey pants. Too lazy to change into pyjamas before I went to bed, and also because I didn't have any...... Rip.
A sigh slipping out of my lips I continued following the lanterns until it reached a circle inside the forest. My eyes scanning the opening in the forest I noticed candles outlining the shape.
In the centre of the circle there was Preston. A snake like thing slithering by his feet I watched Preston.
Flames spitting out of Preston's palms I watched him, intrigued by the beauty of the fire as Preston seemed overjoyed with the light produced by the flick of his wrist.
Being gentle with the flames Preston made sure not to touch any of the trees, so as not to set anything on fire. What the heck?-.............
Is Preston even a human!?! Holding a breath in my throat I jut watched Preston as he danced around in one spot.
The fire gleamed and glittered around Preston, coincidently the same shape as the lanterns. Connecting the dots I felt a smile grow on my lips at my answer.
Preston's a pyro! Realizing how much sense that made I let out a sigh. Barely audible I saw Preston tense. Frozen in one place.
"Oh shhhhhhhhhh........ I'm so dead." Preston whispered. Seeming to cringe at being caught I watched Preston turn around slowly.
The brown that used to be in his eyes now the golden colour of a flame.
