jeongguk was chilling on the sand after a long day of shooting outside, it was starting to get much hotter in korea so he had sweated like crazy in his suit.

he took a cold shower after work and put shorts with a shirt on before leaving to the beach and wait for taehyung. he closed his eyes and just decided he would sunbath until then.

"you're gonna get wet..!" he heard faintly and he laughed, he could hear the waves crash just near his feet and the water was going up, so yes he would probably get wet if he stayed there for too long.

"oh am i?" he teased with his eyes still closed, but he opened them when he felt a really heavy weight drop on top of him.

he looked down to see taehyung showing his boxy smile, the merman was laying on his chest and his tail laid between jeongguk's legs perfectly.

the boy chuckled and scooped a bit away from the waves, obviously keeping taehyung in his arms. he let the creature lay his head on his chest fully and he started to stroke his hair like he loved to.

"you came early" taehyung said with a wide smile. the merman was drawing random shapes on the sand next to jeongguk's body.

"yeah i only had one shooting today" the boy replied, while he was drawing random shapes on taehyung's sparkling skin.

"how was it?"

"it was pretty great but still tiring. we were shooting outside on a beach, so since i have to wear a suit to work i was melting under the sun!" jeongguk explained with a small chuckle.

"what's this week schedule?" taehyung asked so he could know if he would see the boy a lot or not.

"oh.. hey a-about that.." jeongguk started and looked away from taehyung's already worried gaze.

"i.. have to leave to america, it's really far away from here, for a small week.." he continued and sighed, he really didn't want to leave taehyung alone but he had to.

taehyung took a small while to reply, he put his hands on jeongguk's chest and pushed himself up a little bit. he looked at him for a small minute before crashing back down in his arms.

he nuzzled his face in the boy's neck and whispered "but i don't want you to leave for that long koo.." jeongguk smiled and started to stroke his pink locks slowly.

"i know pretty but i really have to.." he whispered in his hair.

"is it for work?" the merman asked. jeongguk could feel his lips brush against his ear when he spoke, his deep whisper going right to his spine.

"not really, i have two of my friends there, hoseok and yoongi, they're both pretty famous and they're releasing a mixtape soon so i have to shoot their music videos and their album pictures. it'll take a lot of time that's why i'm staying for a week there."

"m-mixtape?" taehyung asked quietly, his face still nuzzled in jeongguk's neck. the boy chuckled at his confusion and explained:

"they're rappers, and hoseok is a dancer too, they've been dating for years and they decided to make an album together, so a mixtape where they rap and sing a little bit."

"will you let me listen to it when you'll come back?" the merman asked and showed him a wide smile.

"of course, i have a lot to show you about my world too, i promise i'll show you everything." jeongguk replied while cupping taehyung's adorable cheeks.

"i want to show you my world too..." he whispered and laid back down on jeongguk's strong chest.

"can humans go to your world?" jeongguk asked with a hopeful tone.

"we can bring humans there, but.. only humans we trust a lot." he made a small pause, he could feel jeongguk's heart beat faster.

he propped himself up again to face jeongguk, he smiled to him and brushed their noses together slightly, before whispering 'ill bring you there soon, i promise.'

jeongguk's breath hitched for a second because of the closeness, he could feel his cheeks heat up when taehyung looked back in his eyes. he smiled and thanked the merman before he dived back in his neck.

"i wish i could come with you.. one week is so long.. what am i gonna do all alone.." he whined longly which made jeongguk chuckle.

"you could stay at your home and stay with jimin or your brother, you could.. i don't know try to do new stuff?"

taehyung thought about it for a few seconds and just hugged jeongguk tightly. "i don't want you to leave" he whispered again.

he pulled away and pouted really hard to please the boy. "don't pout pretty" jeongguk said and smiled fondly.

taehyung's pout faded away to let confusion show. "p-pout?" he asked with furrowed eyebrows.

the black haired male laughed and almost unconsciously extended his hand. he put the pad of his thumb on his bottom lip and slightly pulled it down. "that's pouting." he stated quietly.

taehyung's mouth formed an 'o' shape and he playfully tugged on jeongguk's bottom lip too. they both laughed but got interrupted when a big wave wetted them.

jeongguk gasped in surprise before scooping away from the water, only to make taehyung laugh louder. the laughers quieted down and taehyung asked when he had to leave the next day.

"in the afternoon, i can stay the night here with you if you want." he asked with a knowing smile, and if taehyung had feet, he would've jumped on them.

they stayed in the same position for hours, with taehyung laying on jeongguk comfortably and talking about random stuff, until they heard jeongguk's stomach growl.

"i'm gonna order some pizza and eat it there wait." he said and took out his phone to call his favorite pizzeria, taehyung had a confused expression as he had no idea what a pizza was but he just waited.

"i took a big one so you can taste it. you can right? it won't make you sick right? because i don't want you to be sick and w-"

"kookaa.. it's fine i think i can eat human food!" he reassured him. the boy sighed and asked him to lay next to him so he could actually get up and go get his order at his house.

"wait here i won't take long. do you need anything?" he asked out of reflex before realizing it was a stupid question and walking away.

he came back a small while later with a big carton box and a bottle of coke. he walked until he reached taehyung who was still laying on his back and put his food down.

the merman watched him and patted the part of his tail under his waist to indicate jeongguk he could sit it, which he did.

he carefully straddled him and opened the carton box to see the pizza covered with melted cheese. he moaned at the sight and took one portion he ate quickly.

"aaah that's so so good!" he said to no one in particular and ate an other portion quickly. he took one in his hands and put it in front of taehyung's mouth slowly.

"here take a bite, i'm sure you'll love it." he said and let taehyung eat a small piece before eating the rest. he examined his reaction and chuckled when taehyung's eyes widened.

"it's so tasty and woa!" the merman said so jeongguk gave him a whole portion.

"i had no idea there was something better than our food but there is! what's this made of?" he asked so jeongguk started to talk about everything he knew about food, vegetables, fruit, meat..

he made the merman gasp when he told him humans eat fishes, he said it was cruel but it wasn't jeongguk's fault, plus the boy hated fish.

after they were done eating the pizza jeongguk made taehyung taste the coke, which he spat out immediately since he thought the bubbles were attacking him.

it made the boy laugh loudly and he let him try again, telling him the bubbles were normal.

"it tastes weird, the feeling is weird.. it's a no no." the merman said and scrunched his nose up in disgust.

jeongguk threw away the box and the bottle before going back to taehyung. "do you wanna go back in the water?" he asked as he saw the sparkles on his skin were fading away.

the merman nodded and extended his arms to get carried by the strong boy. jeongguk sat on his rock watching taehyung swim around and get his skin all moisturized.

"alright we can go lay down in the sand." he said after feeling his skin getting comfortable. jeongguk picked him up again and laid him down on his back before lying next to him.

the merman shyly reached for his hand and intertwined their fingers before letting him rest his head on his naked chest.

"i'll miss you." he whispered in his black locks.

"i'll miss you too pretty." jeongguk replied and kissed his knuckles.
