jeongguk always loved to go to the beach after a long day. either if it was to swin, to walk on the warm sand or just take a nap on some rocks, he just loved it.

he had bought a beautiful house, almost like a mansion, which was facing the sea some years ago, when he started to earn a lot of money as photographer.

he was walking around with his camera when he discovered a small beach, he assumed no one had ever been there, and he never saw anyone there so he decided it was his beach.

he took the habit to go there every single day, to take pics of the sunset for his personal photo books. he was famous for taking amazing photos of idols and models, but what he preferred were the sunsets.

that day, he was lying on the sand, his bare feet sometimes getting wetted by the waves, when he heard some flapping in front of him.

he raised his head from the floor to watch the water, and he could've sworn he saw a tail waving above the shiny waves.

he sat up and took a better look at the tail, but it disappeared in the second.

"a dolphin!" he cheered, a wide smile not leaving his lips. he got up and ran to the highest rock, to have a better view.

he pouted when he didn't see anything move anymore, he even wondered if it was just a dream, a daydream, but he wanted to believe he had seen a dolphin.

that day, he stayed until the sun disappeared, watching the sea to be ready to see any movement, and at the moment the sun disappeared, he saw a sparkling shape, a tail, moving out of the sea once before disappearing in the darkness.

the black haired male smiled to himself and stood up on his rock.

"bye dolphin! i hope i'll see you again!" he shouted and hoped back on the sand to go back home.

the next day, he went to his office to know his schedule and leave soon to his next shooting, but not before seeing his manager and his best friend.

"hyung hyung!" the black haired male shouted when he saw the taller male enter the building.

"hi kookie!" he greeted him with a wide smile.

"you'll never guess what i saw yesterday at my beach!" he half shouted while entering his office with his manager.

"huum.. sand?"

"namjoon...!" he punched the taller male in his chest before continuing.

"i saw a dolphin!" he clapped his hands and bounced on his feet.

"kookie, dolphins don't exist near korea anymore, they've been hunted, they're all dead.." namjoon said sadly and pursed his lips in a thin line.

the younger seemed a bit confused. "b-but.. i saw it.." he said quietly.

"what did you see exactly? you're maybe mistaking it for an other animal?"

"no hyung, i promise! it was a dolphin! it had the same tail. i saw it from afar but i know it was... it was so pretty.. when it was under the sunset it sparkled.." he explained, remembering the mesmerizing scene.

"hey, dolphins don't sparkle! you must've dreamt it. don't think about it too much gguk. focus on your next shootings, you're gonna be busy for some days." the older said sadly and gave him his week schedule.

jeongguk checked it with a frown, he had a lot of appointments, all of them with famous idols or famous brands. he loved his job, but some of his clients were sometimes a bit too demanding.

he sighed and took the camera he needed for the day, he had a shooting for puma's new shoes.

after taking pics of models trying on shoes, even filming people running around, the young photographer was exhausted.

he quickly passed by his office to put all the pictures on his computer so he could edit them and choose the best ones the next day.

he drove back to his house to change into shorts and a hoodie, he knew he was going to stay at the beach the whole evening.

he took his camera and walked down to reach the beach. he sat on his favorite rock, after making sure nothing was in the water, like a dolphin for example.

he waited for hours, not seeing anything move in the sea, but it didn't matter. he knew it was real, he knew he had seen a dolphin the previous day, and he had the feeling he would see it again.
