jeongguk had put an alarm so he wouldn't wake up too late and make taehyung wait for him alone in the wide ocean.

he groaned when he heard the annoying noise but then he realized he wasn't going to work but to spend the day with his precious taehyung.

he smiled sleepily and shot out of bed to get ready. he didn't take a shower as he had taken one late at night plus he knew he would go in the ocean and get all salty.

he hesitated to just wear his swim shorts but still put a shirt on just in case he wouldn't stay for the whole day in the water.

he packed a small bag with his phone, a towel, some sweatpants to change and stuff like sunscreen and snacks.

he checked one last time if he didn't forget anything before rushing out, closing his house and running down to the beach as usual.

taehyung was laying and sunbathing on a rock in the middle of the water, so for once jeongguk chose to stay quiet and surprise him.

he stripped carefully, he knew taehyung had a really good hearing so he had to be as quiet as possible. he entered the water quickly and swam towards the rock.

he watched taehyung's features, he had his eyes closed so he wouldn't get blind because of the sun obviously, so jeongguk could take his time to admire him.

he moved after a while and slowly hovered him to press his lips on his forehead. it was quite a long kiss, jeongguk let his eyes fall shut as he kept his lips on his sun kissed skin.

he heard taehyung let out a small whimper when he pressed a bit harder before pulling away, just enough to see his eyes but their faces were still inches away.

"morning pretty." jeongguk greeted but taehyung was at a loss of words. he really didn't expect such a meaningful greeting, but he couldn't love it more.

he came back to his senses few seconds after and greeted the boy back. his cheeks were still bright pink but jeongguk chose not to mention it and just admire his flushing face.

jeongguk helped the merman to sit up and gripped his thin waist to bring him down in the water. he brushed his fingers over his gills and smirked when he drew a small whimper out of his lips.

taehyung gripped on his hips and made them swim away from the rocks so he could let his tail free. he gently slid his hands under jeongguk's thighs to indicate him to wrap them around him.

he kept both of them at the surface of the water so they could just listen to the calming waves before jeongguk talked.

"what do you wanna do today?" his voice was quiet, since he had his face buried in taehyung's neck.

"i-i wanted to show you a spot i found when you were away.. but i-it's a bit far from here i don't know if you have enough time?" the merman stuttered out with a shaky voice.

the boy smiled and brought his hand up to taehyung's face to cup his cheek. "just take me there, i still have two free days. we have time." he breathed out against taehyung's sensitive spot, maybe on purpose.

"you should put your stuff back in your house then." taehyung said and looked at his bag and his shirt still on the big rock.

"oh yeah you're right. i'll be right back." he said and taehyung let go of him so he could quickly put his stuff in his house.

the boy ran as fast as he could so he wouldn't make taehyung wait for too long. he let everything home even his shirt, he just had his shorts on but he would probably stay in the water for a while so he couldn't bring anything.

he still sent a quick text to namjoon just incase he would try to reach him. he closed his door and rushed down the cliff to dive back in the ocean and reach for taehyung.

"i'm all yours" he showed his bunny teeth and wrapped himself around taehyung's bigger shape.

"let's swim together, i hope it's not too far for you.." taehyung thought out loud. jeongguk swam close to him and booped his nose.

"i'll be all fine pretty don't worry." jeongguk assured and they both started to swim next to each other.

"you're so slow!" taehyung half shouted after few minutes. he was surely swimming much faster than jeongguk as the boy was trying not to exhaust himself.

the boy glared at him but only made taehyung laugh. they kept swimming and jeongguk saw the merman dive in the water but he didn't question it.

he felt teasing fingers tickle his stomach and he tried hard to suppress a laugh so he wouldn't choke on the water.

taehyung's fingers caressed his chest and his stomach slowly, but it only made jeongguk slow down. the boy grabbed his hands in his and intertwined their fingers to pull taehyung back at the surface quickly.

"i need a break." he said and taehyung heard he was totally out of breath. he quickly positioned himself underneath him to keep him above the water and wrapped his arms around his waist to keep him close.

he swam at his own pace, much faster than jeongguk, while the boy was catching his breath on his chest.

the merman watched him with concern, he had no idea how much a human could swim, he had no idea if jeongguk was alright.

"is it still far?" the boy asked after he had recovered an even breathing. taehyung looked down at him and stroked his shiny black hair.

"we did.. a half?" he answered and tensed when jeongguk whimpered.

"i'm so exhausted i don't know if i can swim for much longer." he said and watched around there was nothing but water.

"shh, it's alright look i'm carrying you just fine. well just go there like that. you're alright." taehyung said with a calm voice.

jeongguk mumbled a small thank you and let his head rest totally on taehyung's chest. he had no idea how he managed to swim that fast while keeping his face at the surface, he didn't even receive a droplet on his face.

he watched the small waves around them and then moved his eyes to taehyung's, which were already on him. he smiled at him and felt his soft fingers massage his scalp.

he kept his eyes closed for a while and reopened them when he couldn't feel the water brush his legs.

"oh i thought you were asleep" taehyung said when he saw jeongguk look at him. he moved slowly to put the boy back in the water.

they were near a cliff but jeongguk couldn't see anything. he furrowed his brows in confusion but he felt taehyung intertwined their fingers so he could follow him.

they swam next to each other for a small minutes before jeongguk discovered a big crook in in the cliff. he looked at taehyung for confirmation and he saw him nod, as to tell him it was the spot.

he swam as fast as he could to reach the rocks and sit on one of them as he was tired of being in the water. taehyung him stayed in the ocean but he was close to him, almost in between his thighs.

the boy looked around and saw sand and petals in the big crook, it was simple but pretty, and the view was priceless.

"the sun sets right in front of us, it's really pretty." taehyung said when he noticed jeongguk staring at the view.

the boy had sparkles in his eyes as he continued to look at the shining waves, and those crashing at his feet. his gaze met taehyung's fond one and crashed in his arms.

he engulfed him in a tight hug he gave back immediately. he thanked him several times and pulled away to press a kiss on his forehead.

"you're amazing." he whispered against his skin. he could see the bright pink shine on taehyung's cheek and he smiled widely.

he returned inside of the crook to explore a little bit, it wasn't that big but he still wanted to look around. he looked back at the entrance to see taehyung had his chin resting on his palms, and he was just looking at him.

"the water isn't high enough for me to come inside.." he explained so jeongguk immediately walked back to him so he wouldn't leave him alone.

he climbed on the rocks standing out of the water until he had reached the one in the middle of the water and straddled it.

taehyung chuckled and swam to stay by his side until the water was high enough. he looked at his thighs and couldn't help but extend his hands and touch them.

he grazed his fingers on them which made goosebumps appear all over them. he chuckled and jeongguk bit his bottom lip in embarrassment, but it quickly went away when he felt a pair of lips on his inner thighs.

his breath hitched in his throat which taehyung totally noticed, so he smirked. "so now i know your spot too.." he said, thinking about how jeongguk was teasing him with his sensitive gills.

jeongguk chuckled and admitted 'i have more spots than that honestly' and that made taehyung blush too. he cupped his pink cheeks and winked, so taehyung had to disappeared in the water for a while to calm down.

the merman was still in the water as the sun was getting down. jeongguk was standing on a rock next to him and he busied himself throwing rocks in the water.

he almost tripped when he felt a finger on his left asscheek, followed by a small 'boop' coming out of taehyung's mouth.

he looked at the merman with wide eyes but he didn't even move. "w-what are you doing?" jeongguk asked with a shaky voice.

taehyung's brows furrowed and he shrugged. "it's squishy i like it" he replied and squeezed and handful of his butt.

jeongguk choked on his own spit and he sat next to him. "pretty you can't touch people's ass just like that.." he chuckled out. taehyung had a big pout hanging on his lips and puppy eyes, jeongguk had to look away not to coo.

"but it's all squishy and bouncy and round..." he whined and moved in between the boy's thighs like he always did. he pouted even harder but jeongguk didn't do anything.

he pushed himself up on his thighs to reach his eye level and have more impact and it worked. jeongguk slid his arms around his waist and pulled him on his lap.

taehyung smiled in victory and buried his face in his neck. "why can't i touch your butt hey i don't have one i have to take care of yours." he whined in his neck and jeongguk laughed.

"you can't touch anyone's butt, but... you can touch mine if that makes you happy." the merman bounced on his lap and cheered to himself.

"the sun is going to set soon i should just carry you inside." the boy whispering in his hair. taehyung hesitated at first, he didn't want him to hurt his back but since he was already on his lap, it was fine, so he nodded.

jeongguk put him down on the sand in the crook before sitting behind him and holding him close so he wouldn't have to hurt his back to sit.

they watched the sunset silently, admiring the pretty colors going from warm orange to purple, passing by red and pink.

jeongguk kept stroking his pink hair the whole sunset long, occasionally pressing a kiss to his temple, almost unconsciously.

when the only light was coming from the moon, taehyung turned his head and pressed a kiss to jeongguk's jawline. he couldn't expect a better way to end their day.

"it's gonna be cold tonight so.. y-you should probably lay o-on me so i can keep you warm.." taehyung murmured shyly. jeongguk smiled fondly and let him lay down on the sand before straddling his tail.

"are you sure i'm not going to crush you?" he asked with a worried look. taehyung just pulled him down on his chest and pecked his hair.

jeongguk readjusted his position to be comfortable and felt a warm blanket on his back, it was actually taehyung's long fins.

"are you comfortable?" taehyung asked as he started to play with the black locks. jeongguk hummed and pressed a kiss on his closed gills to thank him, and both of them fell asleep peacefully.
