Chapter 11

____________Levi's POV____________
I swim with (F/N) in my arms, it was unsettling to see how no bubbles come from either her nose or mouth, proving that she was breathing, proving that she was alright, proving that she was alive.
But, I brush the thought off as I continue following Hanji to Saisei.
I follow her to what seemed like a large patch of kelp.
Hanji then swims through it, and I follow, but as I swam through the large kelp patch, I saw Hanji disappear in an underwater cave.
'This place is well hidden, thanks to the kelp.' I think as I swim into the cave, and pretty soon, I see Hanji and another figure.
As I get closer, I see that the figure was male, he looked old, but wise.
I carefully swam up next to Hanji, and it seemed she was explaining our situation to them.
"I see." The man, that I would assume to be Saisei said in a deep voice.
Saisei then turned his attention towards me.
"So, you want me to bring this girl back to life?" He questions, and I simply nod my head deeply.
"And why should I?" Saisei asks.
I stared at him for a moment, before looking down, thinking of the best way to say why the girl in my arms should be saved.
Then, it came to me, the answer that I have been ignoring this whole time.
It was simple yet complicated.
It was love, but so much more than that.
I finally raised my head, and opened my mouth, and said, "She is like a best friend, but more. She is the one person in this world that knows me best in the short times that we've been together. She is someone who made me a better person. No, actually, she didn't make me a better person. I can do that myself, because she inspired me. She is my soulmate. She is someone I carry with me, since the moment I had met her. She is the one person who accepted me, and believed in me before anyone else did, or when no one else would, and no matter what I'll always love her, and nothing would ever change that, not even death."
I took a deep breath before continuing, "But, I don't what to let go just yet. I want to share more memories together, and if I get one more day, just one more, I would be happy with that, because then......then, I would be able to tell her just how much her presence means to me."
After I said that, no one said anything.
I felt Hanji's stare bore into my head, but I ignored her, and continued keeping my gaze on Saisei.
He seemed deep in thought, and when he opened his mouth, he said, "I see, you care deeply for this human."
"Yes, so please, please bring the life that brought so much light into mine back." I plead.
The man before me just stares, before giving a gentle smile, and saying "Lay her down over there."
He then pointed to what looked to be a large flat stone.
I swam over, and gently laid her down.
"But, before I do anything, I must warn you, my name means born again, this means that she will have to sacrifice her legs in replace of a tail, therefore being born again as a mermaid. Are you okay with her never returning to her normal life on the surface again? Will you be okay with her hating you for the decision you will make for her, if she doesn't like it?" He says.
I look at him, my gaze full of determination, and say "Yes, besides I know this damn brat more then anybody else. She wouldn't hate me."
Saisei raises an eyebrow, as he says, "Oh, and how would you know?"
"Because, she is too damn nice for this cruel, yet beautiful world." I say, staring at (F/N) brushing her bangs out of her eyes, as they float about.
The elderly merman just chuckles, before he began chanting some unknown language.
About halfway through, I see (F/N) snap her eyes open, before her back arches, and her mouth opens in silent screams, as bubbles arose from it.
"What's going on!?" I ask hastily.
"Hold her down, it isn't easy on a human body to suddenly have two legs morph into a tail." Saisei said, and I did as I was told.
But, as I held her down, she began to thrash around, causing me to loose my grip a few times.
After regaining my grip on (F/N), I leaned down, so that my mouth was right next to her ear.
I then whispered, "Its okay, (F/N). I'm right here."
After I say this, it seemed she calmed down a bit, and once I leaned back up, I look at her legs and saw that it was a (Favorite Color) tail.
I let out a sigh of relief, as I stare at (F/N)'s rising and falling chest. The wound on her shoulder also seemed to have healed, leaving no scar on her (S/C) skin.
"Thank you, thank you so much." I choke out as I continue to stare at (F/N).
____________Your POV_____________
Darkness.
You were surrounded by darkness.
'Where am I?' You think to yourself as you lazily turn your head left and right.
"(F/N)!" A familiar voice calls out.
'Levi?' You question yourself as you try and search for the origin of the voice.
As you tried to look around, you noticed a small light, no bigger than a pinpoint in the distance.
'What....is that?' You question as you set of towards the light.
But, as you got closer and closer, you realized that it was a small fire, with two logs as seats surrounding it.
You raised an eyebrow, as you turned to look behind you, hoping to find someone, but there was no one there.
You turned back around, and you jumped in surprise when you saw someone sitting on one of the log seats, but no just anyone.
It was your father.
"Dad?" You ask, as you felt tears prick at the corner of your eyes.
"Hey baby girl, how's it going?" Your father asks, as he gives you a loving smile, while holding his arms out in a hug.
You finally let the tears go, as you jump into your father's arms.
"Dad! I missed you so much!" You sobbed as you buried your head into his chest.
"I missed you too, but-" He paused for a minute, causing you to loft your head up.
"But, what?" You ask, as you try and dry your tears.
"But, you shouldn't be here, not just yet." He says.
You smile sadly, as you say, "I know, but can I stay, just for a little while longer?"
You father seemed to be debating about something, but eventually he let out a long sigh, before saying, "A few more minutes wouldn't hurt."
You smiled as you ask, "Remember the song you would always sing to me when I was little?"
You father chuckled as he said, "But, of course, you always loved that song."
"Could you sing it, just one more time, that's all I want before going back." You say as you felt the tears begin to return, but you held them back.
"Yeah, anything for my little girl." Your father said, before he started to sing.
(Please listen to song above.)
After he was done singing, you gave your father one last hug, as you begin to slowly disappear.
"Thanks dad." You say.
Your father chuckled as he said, "No problem."
As you almost fully disappear, your father also said, "Oh, and before I forget, tell that boyfriend of yours that if he ever hurts you, I will haunt his sorry ass to death."
You let out a laugh, as you say "Will do, dad!"
And with that you finally disappear.
_________3rd Person POV_________
Your father smiled sadly, as he watched you disappear.
He let out a sigh, before turning around, while saying "You certainly have grown, baby girl, but it also seems that it's finally time that I reunite with your mother."
With that, your father begins to walk, and soon disappears in a bright white light, smiling all the way.
'We did good raising her, huh.' Your father thought, before the bright light fully engulfed him.
To be continued....
