» Clubs open September 2021. However, the membership forms are now open. (Can be found in the next chapter.)
» The clubs are not read-for-read clubs. However, we do not forbid authors to support each other and read for each other. But that is strictly out of club guidelines, and we do not guarantee if the author you've partnered with reads for you.
» We are punctual with the assignment guidelines. Extensions for no reason, be it for a day or a week, would not be granted unless absolutely inevitable. In any other case, you must inform the club admins, and/or the moderators.
» Demeaning someone's work is not acceptable, be it through comments, PMs, or through any other media. If you're caught throwing unnecessary sass or sniping at another author in their comments, you will be banned from the club(s).
» The clubs are based on the level of commitment you can provide. There's nothing too jarring but if you cannot fulfil the bare minimum, the clubs might not be for you.
» For now, we're only accepting stories in English unless informed otherwise at a later stage, so translations, and/or stories written in any other media would be discarded. This is not so we don't want to consider your work but because we don't have that much readership for other languages at the moment. But that's not to say we won't ever.
» There's no space for offensive behavior toward the club admins, the moderators, or the members. Therefore, join the club(s) with a demeanor of co-operation and obedience.

» You will be divided into three groups based on the progress you've made in your book:
‣Starters - If you're fairly new to writing your book or have completed less than 30% of it.
‣Intermediates - If you've completed your book anywhere between 30-80%.
‣Completers - If you've completed your book.
» Three weeks out of a month will be devoted to the club, and the fourth week will be for the handlers to verify and score you accordingly.
» The first week would be for you to read a book (it can be any book that catches your interest) that is outside your group. For instance: If you're one of the Starters, you cannot read another starter's book in the first week, but you can read the book(s) which either the Intermediates or the Completers have written.
» The second week would be for you to read a book from your own group. You cannot read from any other group except for your own.
» The third and final week is the week you get to choose what group you would like to read the book from.
» You must report your reads at the end of each week through the designated inline comments.

» Add the book of the club you want to be a part of to a public reading list. (This is important because you'll be receiving updates.)
» Join our Discord server. (This is completely optional, although we highly recommend it as we have club chats for interaction and you'd know your fellow members a lot better on there. If you don't know what Discord is, well, it's a platform where places called "servers" comprise people from different communities and can come around to chat with each other on different topics.) The link for our server can be found in our Wattpad page bio.
» Follow the community page, which is this one. Again, this is optional but you'd get to know about our updates a lot better if you do so.

» Starters — For reading a starter book, you'll be receiving 5 points for a chapter above the length of 2K words and 3 points for every chapter below the word length of 2K.
Intermediates – For reading an intermediate book, you'll be receiving 5 points for a chapter above the length of 2K words and 2 points for a chapter below the word length of 2K.
Completer – For reading a completed book, you'll be receiving 4 points for a chapter above the length of 2K words and 3 points for a chapter below the word length of 2K.
So, the amount of chapters does not determine your points. Rather, how much you read does. This is to ensure fairness among people who write varying lengths of chapters.
» Your comments have to be consistent throughout the chapter, which, in essence, means that you cannot comment extensively on half the chapter and then leave it for the rest. We ask that you comment consistently and throughout the chapter with at least 4 comments at the very least.
» Your points per month should be 12 with no less than 4 points per week.
For instance, if you have 3 points the first week, 2 points the second week, and 7 points the third week, your score for the first week would not be counted.
• What comments we expect: (Example 1)
"I really loved the descriptions, but I feel the emotional impact of this scene could be notched up a little bit as I couldn't really connect with the characters."
• What we don't expect (Example 1)
"I think you should give up on your writing career since it's evident you don't know anything about punctuation or grammar. This book needs a lot of editing."
• What comments we expect: (Example 2)
"I think the enigmatic, and funny personality of the character really pulls me into the story instantly. However, their headstrong nature could be toned down a bit."
• What we don't expect (Example 1)
"I completely hate the main character. Who does that? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS?"
» Except for such destructive comments, we warn against spamming someone's comments with emojis for no reason at all. They will not be considered at all. «

» If you bag more than 60 points a month, your book will be featured on our reading list, and you will be given a certificate for getting featured in our community.
» For the most picked book of the month, the club handlers will read two chapters of your book and provide feedback on it! (They may read more if they like it but that's the advantage you'll be getting.) That's not to say they won't be reading your books otherwise, but you can expect the handlers to give you a constructive and detailed critique!
» If your points remain 60+ for 2 months, you will receive a follow from our community page.
» A special role will be given to every member of our club in our Discord server if they choose to join and all the club members will have exclusive access to club chats for more interaction.

» What if I was a Starter when I joined the club but now I'm done with a major part/have completed my book?
Everyone progresses through their books as they go, so it's only natural that a Starter soon shifts into the Intermediates group and then to Completers. As seen, the net points for every group are the same, therefore, you will be shifted to a new group as soon as you hit the benchmark for a particular group. All you need to do is ping us through PMs, or more preferably, in the club chat within the Discord server.
» What if I wish to apply for a hiatus?
We are aware that members might need to go on a hiatus sometimes, so we are open to any requests of sorts. But for doing so, you must inform the handler through PMs or in the Discord server and fill out the dedicated application. The maximum hiatus we give is for a month, so anything more than that will have us remove you from the club. But if you wish to join back again, you're most welcome!
» What if I'm not able to complete my assignments?
You must join the club with the spirit of dedication and growth but it's understandable that sometimes, things don't come across as planned. However, there are some guidelines pertaining to incomplete assignments. If you ghost us without any reason for the first week, your points will be nullified, and you'll be warned. The second week will have you removed from the next month's assignment and at the end, the third week will permanently prohibit you from the club with no scope for resignment. Hence, it is requested that you tell the handlers the reason for your incomplete assignments and ask for an extension, if possible. For a genuine reason, we may exempt you from a week or two's work.
» How long do the clubs provide an extension?
If for some reason, you were not able to complete your assignment in time, you may be given an extension of three days maximum. In any other case, you must have a genuine reason for your exemption.
» What if I was not able to report for some weeks but I have reported for others?
Reports after each week are mandatory but if you had forgotten or had a reason you were not able to report for a particular week, reach out to your handler and communicate. We might be able to accept your report if we feel it's necessary given your explanation.
» What do I do if I want to leave the club?
Firstly, you must have a firm decision of joining the club before you do so, but sometimes, some things might compel an individual to leave, so we resonate with you in that case. You will have to reach out to your handler to tell them about your exit. You can resign but we permit only two resigns, so you will not be allowed a third time.
