Oh shit, I feel.....so dramatic and sad right now NO I feel like the devil BUT don't worry I always make sure to give my stories happy endings!

I fucking HATE angst and sad endings like when one of the lovers die or if they don't get together or something!!!

SO I REFUSE TO MAKE STORYS LIKE THAT!!!!!

But for the sake of story line I kinda hafta make this chappie a bit sad and angsty  ○°(T^T)°○

Law was devastated.

Utterly and completely destroyed.

His whole world was falling apart.

And it was all their fault.

Flashback~

It was another sunny day, Luffy was calmly enjoying the sight of the sea with his mate by his side on the deck, both were in a rare state of tranquility, since usually one of them would be instigating the other just for the hell of it.

Until that's when the prince's mental alarm suddenly went off from out of nowhere.

Suprised by the sudden dangerous change in the atmosphere, Luffy bolted up and swished his head around, looking for anything that seemed to have been a threat, but it only succeeded in startling the male beside him.

"Luffy-ya what's wrong?" But before the mermaid could warn his lover, an explosion went off the side of the ship, causing nearly everyone on deck to lose their footing and topple over.

"WE'VE BEEN HIT!! BATTLE STATIONS!! PREPARE FOR A FIGHT!!"

It all then just came too fast, Luffy's friends appearing from the ocean, popping up from the waters like daisies, knocking back anyone in their way and then when they finally reached his mermaid, he just couldn't take it, it just couldn't happen, "No! You can't take away my Luffy-ya!"

The group faced the captain filled with rage and disgust, almost frightening him, but not enough to stop him from reaching for his nodachi and taking a swing at the intruders.

"Save it ya shitty pirate!" The yellow fishman shouted, making Law curse as he almost easily kicked his sword away, causing it to stick right into the deck and stay there no matter how hard Law pulled, abandoning the weapon, the captain ran to Luffy, but just before Law could reach out to his struggling lover, just as quick as they came...

They vanished beneath the waves.

End of flashback~

Of course Law freaked when they took him.

He screamed, he shouted, and it took all the crew had to pin him down long enough to sedate the flailing man, hell, it took all of Bepo's strength even then to keep him from diving into the sea to try to futilely save his loved one.

The captain was now curled up in what used to be his shared bedroom, but no matter how hard he tried to find some comfort, the heat that Luffy left there was gone, and Law couldn't even find any trace of his scent on the sheets, and that scared him so badly he almost wanted to crash.

After almost an entire half hour of arguing and fighting, the crew has already deemed it impossible to find Luffy with how vast the ocean was, but Law refused to let go.

The little raven was his precious light, he shined Law through the darkness of this vast world and guided him past his inner monsters, finally letting him escape from their torturous taunts and insults, Luffy kept the pirate happy...he even kept him sane in a way.

Law let out another broken sob, clutching onto the pillow with all the strength in his life, almost trying to make himself believe in hope, "I'll find you Luffy, I love you, so damn much" the only thing that could be heard after were weak cries.

The Strawhats felt heavy and bitter, hiding out in one of the group's many bases.

To keep Luffy from swimming away back into the arms of that manipulating pirate, they resorted to chaining him up to the wall leaving him struggling to break free, though it hurt all of them to do it, this was for the best.

"LET ME GO!! LET ME GO!! I WANNA GO HOME!!" Luffy was just as frantic as Law was if not more so.

Without his mate by his side Luffy felt pain, an unbearable pain engulfed his heart making his whole body ache, and the pain could only disappear once returned to Law, it was the pain of heartache.

"LUFFY GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF!! THOSE BASTARD PIRATES ARE SCREWING WITH YOUR HEAD!!!" Zoro's anger was just up to here, he wanted his old Luffy back, and he wanted him now.

"DON'T YOU DARE INSULT MY NAKAMA!!" Luffy's eyes flashed a blue hue and snarled out to the group like an enraged animal, trying even harder to somehow bust his arms free from his restraints.

Each of their hearts was ripped a new hole, "Luffy we're your nakama!" It was painful, to see their strong adventurous spirit as a leader become brought down to this.

Luffy sadly smiled at them and tried to calm down a bit, bt only for the reasoning that he could talk his way out of here, "you guys are my nakama, but they are now too" Robin glared at the wall, "Luffy-kun they are using you, they are viscous killers"

Luffy shook his head refusing to listen to the lies they wanted him to believe as truths, he knew the kindness those pirates possessed, he couldn't be so easily convinced otherwise.

"No, they're my friends, you have to understand this guys"

Usopp cringed in denial, "no, they stole you from us, Luffy they kidnapped you!"

The prince tried to stay calm as he stared head on at his childhood friend, but the urge to attack was slowly deterring out of his hands, "But they changed, they showed me the good in them, they care for me and they need my protection"

Zoro snapped, "LUFFY JUST TELL US WHAT THE HELL HE DID TO YOU!! WE CAN FIX IT!!" Luffy cringed at his best friend's tone and took deep breathes as his eyes tinted ocean blue again and put on a tough, blank face, he could only help them face the truth.

"He fell in love with me" the group froze with looks of disbelief, it wasn't comprehensible, "and I fell in love with him in return"

Chopper became horrified, "NO!! LUFFY YOU CAN'T LOVE SOMEONE LIKE HIM!!" Another sad smile made the boy's face at the looks of horror and disbelief on his friends faces.

"You're too late...he's already my mate, I love him guys, so much"

That was the last straw, Zoro slammed his fist into the wall creating a huge crater in his bubbling rage, "THAT'S IT, NAMI HAVE YOU FOUND THE SOLUTION!?"

The mermaid vigorously nodded her head as she revealed a weird looking device from her bag of riches, obviously stolen from someone or somewhere.

"Nami-san what is that?" Brook and Chopper took an immediate curiosity to the strange device, "Whatever that pirate did to Luffy, it was something mental, so the only solution is...to wipe his memory of him"

Luffy stiffened in absolute horror, when the message finally sank in he lost it, "NO!! NO!! STOP IT!! DON'T!! PLEASE!!"

Luffy yanked and pulled on the chains with all his might making his delicate skin easily gush and bleed as Nami came closer with the weird cube.

"Luffy calm down! We're only trying to help, this will save you!" But to no avail he never stopped in his futile struggles, causing more and more wounds to cut open and spill blood into the water around him, "so how does it work?" Sanji asked urgently, obviously wanting to stop Luffy in his self destructive actions as soon as possible.

"Well this cube will let us into his mind where we find his memories of being with the pirates, and after viewing them we get the option of deleting them from his conscious" Nami kept explaining how it worked as she set up the device.

Once it was finally connected to Luffy the whole crew was gathered around her, "you ready guys?" They all nodded as she flipped the switch, the last thing they heard was Luffy's wailing screams of agony.

IMPORTANT EXPLANATION (PLEASE READ):

Also just to let you guys know on mating with mermaids, see when a mermaid mates they must stay by that mate's side for the rest of their lives, if a mermaid is ever separated from it's mate, both will feel unbelievable pain and agony until the two find each other once again, but they have both thankfully developed a way to find their mate in these situations VIA singing.
