She's not from here

"Merlin, you useless toad of a servant!" Arthur called out, rushing down the hallway before coming to a sudden stop.

A girl had left Gaius' chambers, and not a normal one.

Her clothing left Arthur perplexed, and his eyebrows grew closer.

The girl paid no attention to him as she looked around herself before going left - towards Arthur.

"Who are you?" Arthur asked bluntly.

The girl stopped, seeming surprised he'd addressed her.

"Oh, hi, my name's Natasha," she introduced, reaching her hand out.

Was she... Trying to shake his hand???

"I'm Arthur," Arthur told, seemingly ringing no bells.

"Aaaalright," she replied slowly, letting her hand fall down; "Nice to meet you, Arthur."

"Pendragon," Arthur explained.

"Excuse me?"

"Arthur Pendragon. That's me," he told.

"Uh, okay. Nice to meet you, Arthur Pendragon," she said, sounding a bit confused.

"Well, I have to get going. Bye, Arthur Pendragon."

Arthur looked after the girl, shock all over his face.

He slowly turned his head back, not sure what to think of it.

"Oh, Gwaine - you will not belie-""Sorry, Princess! In a hurry!" Gwaine interrupted the prince, scurrying past him towards Gaius chambers.

"What is wrong with everyone's manners today?!" Arthur complained loudly.

"Sorry, I just need to see Merlin. It's an emergency!" Gwaine explained before disappearing behind the door.

"It better be, he's supposed to be working!" Arthur muttered angrily before following his knight.

Already before entering the court physicians' rooms, Arthur could hear the loud voices.

"HOW COULD YOU LOSE HER?" Gaius.

"Gaius, I was, I was in my room! You were the on-""She is your responsibility, Merlin!" Gaius interrupted the poor boy.

"Wait, the lady Natasha has left? Where to?" Gwaine interrupted, none of them having noticed Arthur in the doorway.

"Why does nobody ask me questions I know answers to?!" Merlin complained; "I know many answers!"

"Then answer me this, boy," Gaius ordered, looking directly at Merlin; "How could you be so foolish?!"

"What is going on here?! Has everyone gone insane?!" Arthur interrupted with a yell, making them all look up.

"Cat's got your tongue?" he challenged when he received no reply.

"Sire, I did not expect to see you here. How may I assist you?" Gaius then interrupted the silence, acting as if no one had just been yelling.

"You can tell me what the bloody hell is going on? Why are you looking for Natasha?"

"Wait, you know her? Do you know where she is?" Merlin asked, taking a step forward.

"I only just met her, she was just passing me, heading towards the throne room," Arthur explained.

Merlin's eyes widened.

"I have to go a-""You are not going anywhere!" Arthur interrupted him; "You are supposed to be working!"

"Arthur, this is really importa-"

"No! Enough excuses, Merlin!"

Merlin looked at Arthur in desperation before seeing he wouldn't butch and turning to Gwaine.

"On it," the knight assured before hurrying out.

Merlin took a deep breath of relief, only furtherly confusing the prince.

"Who - who is Natasha?!" Arthur asked angrily.

"She is-"

"She is a friend of Merlins," Gaius quickly told, sending Merlin a saying look.

"Yes," Merlin agreed; "She is... Visiting."

"From-"

"Far away!" they finished together.

"Very... Far away..." Merlin muttered under his breath.

"I do suppose that explains it," Arthur admitted to himself.

"What? What did she do?" Merlin asked worriedly.

"She had no idea who I was. Me!"

"Oh, yes, that is, because, she, is, from... Very far away," Merlin decided slowly.

"Yes, Merlin, I got that, you buffoon."

"Clotpole," Merlin quickly shot back.

"Merlin!" Arthur complained, making Merlin smile.

"Found her!" Gwaine stated from the door, a stern hand on Natashas upper arm.

"Oh thank god," Merlin breathed out.

"Natasha, it is good you are back," Gaius commented.

"Yes, thank you so much for keeping me prisoner here," she replied sarcastically.

"Wait, you are not friends with him?" Arthur questioned with narrowed eyes pointed at her, Merlin and Gaius making wild gestures behind him.

"I - yes, yes I am," Natasha then replied, her eyes constantly glancing behind him before excusing her behaviour; "But, you know, I still... Call Merlin an idiot... Because he is. My friend, Merlin. The idiot."

Arthur looked suspiciously at her before shrugging.

"Can't argue with that."

Merlin rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Natasha, this is Arthur Pendragon," he then introduced.

"Yes, I know. We met."

"Prince of Camelot," Merlin added quickly.

"Oh," Natasha muttered before adding; "Erh, your highness?"

Arthur's eyebrows raised.

"That is how you greet royalty?" he questioned.

"I..." Natasha's mouth went dry before she lifted her right hand and saluted, making Merlin facepalm and Gwaine burst into laughter.

"That is how they do where she is from," Gaius assured, quickly stepping next to her.

"And where might this be?" Arthur asked.

"Technically I'm from Denmark," she told.

"Denmark," Arthur repeated, trying the word out; "I cannot claim to have heard of it before."

"It is very small," Gaius agreed, nodding his head thoughtfully.

"So, your parents, what do they do?"

"My mum works at Microsoft, my dad's a soldier," she replied truthfully.

"A... Soldier?"

"She means a knight," Gwaine butted in.

"Oh! Your family is nobility?"

"What?" Natasha questioned.

"Yes! Yes, they are!" Gwaine quickly replied, making everybody look at him.

"Because if they are not, your father being knighted a sir would not be legal," he explained, sending Gaius and Merlin looks as he added; "As a noble, Natasha is sure to be welcomed as a visitor here."

"I don't understand, how does Merlin know a noble?" Arthur questioned.

"Oh, uh, he went on vacation in Denmark," Natasha lied.

"What?"

"She means-" Merlin interrupted; "That, she... Her family traveled through Ealdor, and offered me to come along to their... Castle. So, therefore, I stayed with them for a bit."

"Right. In our castle," Natasha agreed, nodding viciously.

"Well, have Merlin set you up a room in our visitor's quarters yet?" Arthur questioned.

"Uhm, no, not yet," she lied swiftly.

"He will do so now, then," Arthur decided, looking at Merlin.

"If you will show our guest her way there, I will send a maid her way to prepare her to meet my father."

I know I'm a bad writer, but I honestly believe it's one of the funniest things ever when they all lie to Arthur, so I thought we needed a chapter just to hear Merlins excuses in this situation.
