Summary: Rose reveals that truth. Happily ever after wasn't quite what Rose expected.

     The light that momentarily surrounded Rose disappeared. She was slightly taller and paler, her hair was brighter, and her eyes had turned gold.
     The whole congregation was silent as the grave.
     Rose spoke once more, "I'm cursed. This is who I really am."
     Merlin spoke up. "Well...that explains a lot."
     "Ugh! It's a disgrace!" Karayan replied. "Guards! Get them out my sight!"
     Guards appeared and tried to grab Rose, Merlin, and Seth. Rose and Merlin used magic to keep them at bay and Seth shapeshifted. Just as things were about to get messy, Callista broke through the window and grabbed Karayan up in her jaws.
     With Karayan gone, the guards stopped fighting and bowed to the unlikely trio.
     Merlin came forward and finally did what he'd wanted to for days. "I love you."
     "And I you." She replied, crying with joy.
     Merlin kissed her and, a second later, she was pulled from his arms and into the air. Light surrounded her once more. Several minutes passed. She was gently set back down. The curse was broken.
     Rose stuck her hand out, looking confused. "I need a mirror." Someone handed her a hand mirror. Rose took a look inside and her confusion deepened as she turned to Merlin. "I don't understand. I'm supposed to be beautiful."
     "But you are beautiful." He kissed her. "That said," he said as he parted, "I would be so honored," he sank onto one knee, "if you would be my wife."
     "I'd love to."

     Rose and Merlin were married that evening, as was Seth and Callista. They had a beautiful double wedding. Afterwards, Merlin took Rose back to the Darkling Woods where they would finally live happily ever after.
