Screams rang from the streets as I ran along the rooftops. It was midnight, the only light illuminating from the street lights below. I stopped, and saw the scene below.

I was the local superhero, Night Fury. I'd say I was pretty good at keeping my identity hidden, though I had a few close calls with Merida.

Speak of the devil.

Down below I see her, her red hair catching my eye. The criminal below doesn't seem like they'll be showing any mercy any time soon.

Toothless, or Alpha, suddenly appear beside me. "Ready Bud?"

He let a roar in agreement.

I chase the criminal up the stairs to the roof, where Toothless lays waiting. I forse open the door and draw my sword, lighting it. I froze when the criminal had Merida by the hair, his own sword against her neck.

"Don't move." He said. "Or little Red gets it."

I flashed my signature grin. "Oh I don't plan on moving. Oh, you see, what people always seem to forget, is that I don't like when criminals take hostages. And you know what else? Neither does my partner.

Merida's eyes widened at my voice, and I prayed she didn't recognize me. Confused, he lowered his weapon just enough. Toothless roared from behind him, and I bet he was glad he was wearing brown pants. He dropped Merida over the side, and bolted. Only to be picked up by Toothless, and given to police.

I leaned over the side of the building and was relieved to see Merida clinging onto the ledge. I offered her my hand, and pulled her up, holding her bridle style.

"Are you alright? I'll take you down, they'll take you to the hospital and-"

"HICCUP?!?" She yelled, interrupting.

Panic ran through me. "What, ah, who? I mean, I'm not Hiccup! Who names their kid Hiccup anyway, right?"

"Oh my gosh, it is you!! What the h*ll are you doing!? We have school tomorrow!! Why is your dog a dragon!! Do you have any idea what time it is-"

"SHHH MERIDA QUIET!!"

"AND YOU'RE OUT HERE IN THE STREETS IN YOU PAJAMAS!! BLOODY H*LL, HICCUP!!" She yelled.

"Not so loud!!" I tried, looking around for easedropers.

"No, you put me down this instant!" I did as I was told, rubbing my neck, preparing myself for a scolding.

"You come our here, at this ungodly hour, when we school tomorrow and pulling some daring do act! You could have gotten yourself killed! And Toothless is a dragon now!?! What the actual flying fudge!?! YOU'RE FIGHTING CRIME IN YOI PAJAMAS FOR GOODNESS SAKE!"

"Would it make you feel better if I said they weren't pajamas?"

"Just kiss me you idiot hero!" She said, pulling my lips to hers. "Thanks for saving my life, but next time, don't be so stupid."

I grinned. "No promises."
