             Merida's P.O.V

Merida tapped her wand nervously on her desk as Hiccup sat next to her. Her pep talk with Rapunzel last night and this morning had convinced her to tell Hiccup of her feelings in DADA today, but more doubt filled her with every second. She managed to keep her mouth shut the entire lesson and saw her opportunity slip away when the bell rang, telling the end of classes for the day.

D*nm her anxiety!!

Just as Hiccup waved goodbye and headed for the Hufflepuff common room, Merida blurted out,

"Will you come to Hogsmeade with me tomorrow?"

Hiccup looked shocked, his cheeks turning red. 'Great, I've embarrassed him. He's not going to go with me, he's too embarrassed, he only likes me as a friend! Great, look what you did, little voice in my head! Now what am I gonna-'

"I'd love to go with you tomorrow Mer!" He said, interrupting my thoughts.

"Wait, really?!"

"Yeah, definitely! It'll be fun! I'll see you then, I guess!" He said, a smile slowly consuming his whole face.

"Yeah, definitely!"

~time skip~

             Rapunzel's P.O.V

Jack's arm was wrapped around Rapunzel's shoulders as she took a sip of her butterbeer. It was their first Hogsmeade trip alone without Merida or Hiccup. Now, do get the wrong idea, Rapunzel loved them both dearly, but it was nice to spend some time alone with Jack.

When Rapunzel had told Jack this earlier, he had laughed, saying how it sounded like Merida and Hiccup were their children.

"What do you think they're up too?" Rapunzel asked him.

Jack grinned. He led her into the joke shop as he answered. "If I know them, they're probably awkwardly holding hands, smiling like fools and drinking at Hog's Head."

As soon as he finished talking, Merida and Hiccup came walking down the road from Hog's Head, smiling like fools with their hands intertwined. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but she knew it was good when Merida placed a kiss on Hiccup's cheek.

"I win the bet. Cough it up, Frost."

A bunch of students we're crowded around the window, and had also taken part of the bet. Jack and a few others emptied their pockets and handed it over to me.

"I put to much faith in Hiccup. I thought for sure he'd make the first move!" Jack complained.

"No, you doubted that I'd be right. And that, Mr. Frost was your downfall." I replied.

"Um, guys?" We all turned around to see the dumbfounded pair staring at us. Merida looked furious. "Are placing bets on us?"

"Maybe.... "

"FROST YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!!!"

As the other students tried to pull them apart, I took my place next to Hiccup.

"What did we get ourselves into, huh Hic?" I asked with a grin.

"Yeah. How much money did you get, anyway?" He asked, gesturing to my bag.

I grinned. "Let's just say, drinks are on me."
