Cold Winter Night
Idk what to write, so let's just see what happens.
Hiccup's P.O.V
I was walking home from Jack's house. I pulled my jacket tighter. It was so cold outside. I could see my resume every breath. I was chilled to the bone.
Just ahead, up the street, I saw Merida's house. I squinted and could make out a figure getting pushed out of her house. I could hear screaming. I ran up, and bumped right into a crying Merida.
Tears ran down her face, and I could tell she was getting really cold. She looked up at me, and was shaking. I quickly took off my jacket and put it on her. I hugged her and we started walking to my house.
"What happened, Merida?" I asked.
She looked down at her feet. "My mum and I got in another fight. She told me to get out and come back when I've grown up and become a better lass."
I shook my head."You're fine. It's your mom that needs to change. Don't worry about it. You can stay with me, if you want." I offered.
She smiled at me."I'd like that."

We got to my house and walked in. I sat Merida down on the sofa and looked at the note my Dad had left on the fridge.
'I'll be gone for a business trip. Ill be back in a week. No parties or anything like that.
Dad'
I sighed and made hot chocolate for Merida.
I brought her the drink and she smiled. "You always know how to make me feel better, Hic."
I tried not to blush. "It's no problem, really."
I sat down next to her. We talked and talked in front of the fire until her head fell on my shoulder and fell asleep. I smiled, and soon fell asleep too.

I woke up and looked down at Merida. I gently got up, careful not to wake her. I made some coffee and breakfast for the two of us.
I heard a beeping from the office and went to listen to the message on the answering machine. I knew that number. Merida's mom called. I picked up the phone to listen.
"Hello Hiccup. It's Ellen. I just called to ask if you knew where Merida stayed last night. We fought again, and she left. I want to apologize, but I don't know were she is. Give me a call back. Thanks. Bye."
I hung up and rubbed my chin. I couldn't decide whether or not to tell Merida. It turns out, I didn't have to. I turned around, and Merida was in the doorway.
"I'm going back." She said, breaking the silence.
"But-" I started.
"I know what you're gonna say. But it's not what you think. I don't want to live with them anymore." She interrupted.
I stood silent, shocked. "You can stay here." I offered.
Merida walked over to me and we hugged. "Thanks Hic."

I sat outside Merida's house on the porch. We had walked to her house so she could say what she needed to say and get her stuff.
I overhead almost every word they said, and none of it was good. The talk turned into yelling, and yelling turned into screaming. Merida tried to make her mom understand, but nothing was working.
"MERIDA GET BACK HERE!!" I heard Merida scream, and I ran in.
Merida and her mom were in a full out fight, fists and all. I pushed her mom away from Merida and stood in between them.
"What's the matter with you? That's your daughter!" I yelled.
She looked at me in horror, just realizing what she did. She reached out to hug Merida and apologize, but Merida pulled away.
"Hiccup, go wait outside. I'll get my stuff." Merida said, looking at her mother with narrowed eyes.
"Merida you can't just-" her mom started.
"I'm moving out." Merida interrupted and walked upstairs to her room.
I looked at her mom, and walked back outside.
I was waiting outside for a long time, when movement caught my eye. It was Merida, running out the back door, and down the street to avoid me.
"Hey! Merida, wait!" I yelled as I ran after her.
But instead of slowing down, she started sprinting away from me. I ran as fast as I could, and caught up to her. I pulled her twords me, and I saw tears running down her face.
I didn't need to ask. I knew what had happened. She was trying to run away. I pulled her into a hug, and felt tears form in my eyes as she sobbed into my shirt.
"It's gonna be fine, Merida. Everything's gonna be ok." I whispered.
"I wish I could believe you, Hiccup." She replied between sobs.
I lifted her chin. "I've given you no reason to doubt me, have I?"
She shook her head, and I realized how close we were. We blushed, and Merida looked away. I smiled and mustered my courage. I leaned in. As I did, I swear Merida turned as red as her hair. But, she leaned in too.
Our lips met, but it's something I can't describe. The most I can say, is that it was perfect and amazing. As the kiss deepened, I held her cheek and she wrapped her arms around me.
When we parted, we were smiling like fools. I chuckled and said, "Let's go home."
