Merida's P.O.V

I ran through the field away from my mum's watchful eyes. She was to busy with my brothers. Now if she had seen her daughter running into the forest......yeash. I'd really be in trouble.

My bow and arrows were slung on my back. After running for a bit, a whisp floated in front of me.

"A whisp!" I gasped. I reached out to touch it, and it vanished. A trail soon replaced it, and I followed them. A twig snapped, and I pulled back my bow and turned around.

"Who's there?" I asked, scanning the area around me.

"Nobody." Called voice.
Out of the shadows, stepped a boy about my age. His hair was brown and his eyes green as leaves. He didn't have a shirt, but thank God he had pants. His spine was covered in black scales and he had the ears and tail of a dragon. From his back, were a pair of black wings.

"A Draconian!" I exclaimed. I lowered my bow and stuck out my hand. "I'm Merida."

He raised an eyebrow. "You're not afraid of me?"

"Why would I?" I asked.

"Because I'm different." He replied.

"You're not that different." I shot back.

He smiled.

"I'm Hiccup."

A few months later...

"Bye mum!" I yelled as I walked out of our house.

"Merida, where are you going? You've been sneaking off for months! What's going on?" Mum asked.

I avoided her gaze. "Just...in the woods."

"What?!? Merida, you can't! You'll be killed by, by those, monsters!" She yelled.

"They aren't monsters! Have you ever even met one?!" I yelled back.

"They killed your father!" She screamed, tears briming her eyes.

"No, Mordu did!" The Draconian called Mordu had tried whiping out the humans, but my father killed him, but died soon after.

"He was one of them!" Mum screamed.

"Not all of them are like Mordu!"

"How would you know?!" She asked.

"BECAUSE I'VE MET ONE!" I screamed.

I didn't even flinch when her hand hit my cheek. I stumbled back, holding the spot she hit me.

"You've sided with them. You're not my daughter." She growled.

The sound of flapping wings filled the air. Hiccup landed in front of me, wings out to protect me. He glared at mum. "Don't touch her."

Mum was frozen in place with fear. Hiccup took my had and looked into my eyes.

"Are you alright?"

When I nodded, he said, "Hold on!"

I wrapped my arms around him and he took off. I looked around in amazement. "This is incredible!"

We landed by Hiccup's cave. I let go and walked in. "Nice place."

"Thanks. Make yourself at home." He replied.

A small fire was in the middle of the cave, and paintings were all over the walls. I saw one of me and smiled. Hiccup noticed me looking at it and blushed.

"Er....do you like it?" He asked nervously.

"Of course." I breathed. "It's beautiful."

"Well, it is of you, so it has to be beautiful!" Hiccup replied.

I blushed and looked over at him. "You think I'm beautiful?"

"Well, of course I do." He said, rubbing his neck.

I stepped closer to Hiccup. His face was reddening. I traced my hands down his wings.

He pressed closer to me and put his wings around me. "Merida." He whispered.

I closed the gap between us and our lips crashed together. Fireworks exploded in my head and I tried to pull him closer. Hiccup's hands ran through my curly red hair. Within moments he had me against the wall.

Hiccup suddenly pulled away. I just stood there, shocked. "Hiccup?"

"We can't." He said, emotion brimming his voice.

"I'm sorry if I-" I started.

"Don't apologize. It wasn't you." He interrupted.

I grabbed his shoulder and turned him towards me. "Then why can't we-"

"Because you're human. You'll become a Draconian if we do!" He yelled.

I stared into his green eyes. "That's a risk I'm willing to take."

Hiccup's P.O.V

Merida pressed against me again and pulled my lips to hers. I didn't want to stop her. I traced my hands down her wingless back and kissed her back.

It wasn't long before I was over her on my bed. I had longed for her ever since I laid eyes on her.

The moment she looked up at me with those blue eyes, I kissed her fearsly. I helped her pull off her red and yellow dress and she pulled off my pants. I tried my best to keep my wings out of the way and folded.

Merida gasped when I entered, and for a moment I thought I had hurt her too much. But she just pulled me closer.

~time skip because I'm terrible at Smut : p~

Merida laid beside me, sound asleep. She was snuggled into me and I had an arm around her. I saw two bumps on her back and immediately knew what they were.

'By morning, she'll have her wings.' I thought.

~another time skip~

When I woke up, Merida was gone. I shot up and looked around, panicking. Why did she leave?

I rushed out and saw Merida standing on the ledge, looking at the rising sun. From her back, were reddish orange wings, dragon ears, and tail. I walked up and stood beside her. I put my arm around her.

"I love you, Hiccup."

"I love you too, Merida."
