Chapter #14

Omkara and Gauri had fallen in love. Love at first sight. Although they both loved each other, confession only scare them. "What if the other person doesn't accept me?" both thought and kept quiet for the sake of not ruining their friendship.

Omkara was an artist. He had a secret room inside his bedroom and Bo one but Gauri knew about it. She was his best friend and obviously, she needed to know. But, he never took her inside bcoz all he had ever sketched or painted was her. She was young. Very young for him, but age doesn't matter in love. He was 23 when he fell for her. She was 19 and was still studying. Everyday, he would make an excuse to go near her. He would even drop her to college.

Almost after 1 year, both had confessed their feelings and we're dating. Gauri helped om get out from the past and he also helped her with all her studies and stuff. Both used to spend a lot of time together but outside, they just showed as if they were friends.

Another year passed. Now, they wouldn't meet much as Om had started going for office and it was difficult for them to meet. This produced Insecurities within Gauri. "From now only he's ignoring me.. What will happen if he marries me?" she thought and slapped herself for it. "No no.. Jhanvi Aunty hates me.. I will not marry him even if he asks"

2 more years.. 3 years to their relationship as a girlfriend and boyfriend they had grown really close to each other. It was Gauri's final year. A guy named Ranbir used to keep staring at her and looking at her without but she always ignored him. She never liked these kind of people nor supported them. Not one boy had come to her due to her Gundi avatar and Om had the courage to win it, whereas this guy.. Wanted a one night stand with her.
It was the college fest and everything was so grand. Gauri had gone shopping with Omkara and bought herself a dress of his choice. It was a black sleeveless gown with some twisted patterns on the front and back while the down part had no frills. Just plain black net stretched till her legs. She had tied her hair up in a bun. The dress wasn't backless giving in to the fact that Omkara was too possesive about his girlfriend and had roamed shop to shop searching for a decent dress. He dropped her, kissed her, hugged her and asked her the time when he had to pick her and she said that she would call but it may be a bit late. He had agreed and left.
At the party, Gauri was enjoying and this time, Ranbir was looking at her with so much last that she wanted to pull his eyes out but she had to keep her calm. She couldn't just ruin her college fest like that.. And that too, in her last year.
At almost 8, when Omkara was sitting with his family in the hall, he received a call from Gauri and excused himself. The moment he picked up, she broke down. "O.. Omkara" she said and instant worries hit him. "Gauri.. Ri listen calm down.. Tell me what happened.. Gauri?" he asked with concern and she replied sobbing, "Please pick me up.. Now" she said and he ran out with his car keys without disconnecting. He put the phone on speaker and kept on consoling her. Within half an hour, he reached her college and she was standing out. He immediately ran to her and hugged her while she started crying badly. His whole shirt was wet with her tears. Her friend was also standing there. He asked her whether she knew what happened to gauri but didn't know. Om reached home, took her to the room and started asking her what happened. Her hair was all out if place and her dress was a bit dirty as if she had ran for dear life. Gauri was only crying until she received a call from Anika. She just told her that she would be home in an hour and cut the call. Finally, after a lot of time, she spoke up. "You know Ranbir?" she asked and he nodded. She had told him about that idiot. "H-he tried to..." .  "He tried to what Gauri?" .  "He tried to molest me" she said and broke down badly while Om burned red in anger.
