Sacrifices must be made in order to find your path and follow your dreams, You must take risks in order to move forward in your life, But some sacrifices leave scars and regret, Especially if it stays for years, Even till the day you pass, Like the regret of leaving someone you loved the most, It was either the right person at the wrong time, Or the wrong person at the right time, You'd never realise the pain until it happens to you.

In the form of sacrifice to make your path, Pain. . . was made that way,

A flask of hot tea was poured into a cup as a man was singing a song in soft whisper, Once he set the flask aside. He took a sip of the tea, leaning back from his chair with a sigh escaping from his lips.

"Tu Ne Pehli Nazar (You're the first look)"

"Jab Nazar Se Milaayi Maza Aagaya (When your eyes first met mine, I was overjoyed)"

???: Ahem, Are you done now, Charlie?

Chandramohan Singh, But he prefers being called "Charlie Singh" He is thrity nine years old and is the police commissioner of Aberdeen Washington's police department.

Born and raised in the New Delhi, Charlie had always dreamed of exploring foreign countries and perhaps building a life abroad. But his family, deeply devoted in tradition, persuaded him to remain in Delhi and start his dream there only, Even though Charlie had no interest in it.

When he was twenty years old, Charlie chose to go against his family's wishes and traveled to London first, But he wasn't able to build a proper life there, Soon, He shifted to Canada, but it was the same problem, He couldn't start his dream business, Which was a Security Company, A firm offering guards and safety services for homes and businesses. His parents thought construction was more profitable and respectable, They didn't like the idea of a security company.

But it never worked out, Charlie struggled to even begin with it. In the end, He traveled to Aberdeen Washington and decided to abandoned the dream of starting a business and wanted to become a cop instead, After years of working with the police, He was soon promoted to Commissioner.

But that wasn't the end of Charlie's life.

When he was eighteen, An American family moved in next door, visiting India for what was meant to be a vacation but quickly turned into a long stay. They were captivated by the culture, the people, and community. Charlie's parents became good friends with the American family.

And somewhere in between those gatherings and shared afternoons. . . Charlie met their daughter who was at the same age as him. . . Anne Winters

What began as a simple friendship blossomed into something deeper. Despite their cultural differences, Charlie and Anne fell in love, And their parents? They weren't conflicted by it, It took a moment to understand the situation, In the end, They gave their blessing, On one condition: Anne would have to settle permanently in New Delhi with Charlie.

Though Charlie recognized his parents' hidden motive to keep him in India forever, Anne and her family agreed. Soon after, Charlie and Anne were married in a beautiful traditional Indian ceremony.

But fate had other plans in store for them. . . .

This is Alex Ambrose, He is twenty four years old and is a police officer and Charlie's protege, He joined the police when he was eighteen years old and has been working since then.

Charlie: *Smiles* What? It's a great song.

Alex: *Laughs* I know, I just thought you were in your imaginary world with your imaginary girlfriend.

Charlie: Pfft, That's ridiculous.

Alex: You know it is.

He grinned and grabbed the flask, placing it below the table as Ambrose sat on the table, Charlie raised an eyebrow before sipping his tea again as Ambrose spoke to him.

Alex: So anyways. . . What's up? Anything new?

Charlie: *Chuckles* Same old, Same old.

Alex: Just like you? Got it.

Charlie: *Narrows his eyes before smiling* Glad you understood, Beta.

(Beta means son btw XD)

Alex: *Laughs* Oh come on, Not that again!

Charlie laughed and smacked Alex's arm, They always had a fun banter like this since they became friends, But both of them care and respect each other a lot.

That's when they heard a slight knock on the doorway as both of them turned around and saw who it was.

This is Manushi Chhillar, She is twenty four years old and is Alex's girlfriend, They've been dating for a year. Singh was the one who matched them together. She works at a bakery owned by her parents.

Charlie: Aao Manu, Aajao party meh (Come Manu, Come to the party)

Manushi: *Laughs* Phir se jaghara hora? (Again, fighting?)

Alex: *Gets up* Charlie is just being Charlie, Manu. Ignore him. . . For five minutes.

She laughed and placed a tray of cookies on the table where she was brought from the bakery, Ambrose and Chhillar shared a hug as Charlie sighed, smiling a little while shaking his head.

Charlie: Ahh, You two are actually ignoring me for five minutes? Manushi, I thought you were always by my side.

Manushi: *Laughs* I am, Unless you start teasing Alex.

Charlie laughed before getting up from his seat, wrapping his arm around Alex who narrowed his eyes but had a slight smile on his face.

Charlie: Kya karein, Manu? Yeh toh mera bhai hai. Agar isse tang na karun toh zindagi boring ho jaayegi (What can I do, Manu? He's my brother, If I don't tease him, life will be boring.)

Alex: I have no idea what you just said.

Charlie: Good, It's me and Manu's secret language.

Manushi: *Smiles* Good thing I'm here to balance the two of you out.

Alex: *Chuckles* That you are.

Everyone shared a laugh before Charlie told both of them to sit down and have some cookies, Manushi politely declined, saying it was for them but Alex and Charlie convinced her to stay for a little bit. The trio sat down and began eating cookies while talking to each other.

Blossom & Bliss, A bouquet shop filled with different scents of beautiful flowers, It wasn't just a shop, it was the kind of place where stories began.

Couples wandered in, shyly picking flowers for first dates. Friends came searching for a simple bouquet to cheer someone up. Families stopped by before celebrations, chattering and cheering in excitement.

And the best part, Today was Flower Day. So there was discount happening at the store, As people walked in and out of the shop, A woman was seen looking at the shop, with a smile on her face.

Anne Winters, Thirty nine years old and owns Blossom & Bliss. She is a mother of two beautiful daughters but was divorced twice.

When she was twenty years old, She was a single mother. After leaving India, She stayed in New York for a little before moving back to her hometown Aberdeen Washington and decided to start a new life, At first, She worked multiple jobs and part time jobs in order to start a business, At one point, She met someone and fell in love with him.

But suddenly, She got pregnant. And Anne was shocked and skeptical, She already had a child and is trying to raise her properly, It didn't take too long for her boyfriend to leave her and the kids alone. Winters was left alone raising two kids.

Two years later, She got married to someone. But he soon started neglecting her kids and Anne didn't like that at all, She filed a divorce immediately and decided to not focus on a relationship.

As the years went by, Anne worked hard enough to raise both of her daughters, Eventually, When she was twenty eight years old. Winters opened a bouquet shop which struggled for two years before it started to grow. Her business was successful and has been running since then.

Anne looked at the people leaving the shop while holding flowers, She smiled before walking in and saw the florist.

Janhvi Kapoor is her name, She is twenty five years old and is a florist. She knew Anne for two years when she struggled finding a proper job, Winters helped her and gave her a position here.

Janhvi: *Smiles* Hi Anne!!!

Anne: *Smiles* Good morning, Janhvi, How is it going, honey?

Janhvi: Exhausted haha, Customers are flooding in. And they ask way too many questions.

Anne: *Chuckles* Everyday is someone's special day, you know?

Janhvi: Definitely, As long it brings a smile to someone's face.

She chuckled as Winters looked around, checking on the flowers which were healthy and well. Suddenly, They heard footsteps and saw someone entering the shop and Janhvi had a huge smile on her face.

Janvhi: There's my hero!

His name is Benjamin McFarland, He is twenty five years old and is a photographer, Though he does a part time job at the bouquet shop. Him and Janhvi have been dating for a few months.

Benjamin: *Laughs and blushes slightly* Wow, Thanks for the welcoming, Love.

Anne: *Chuckles* Great to see you, Benji. I actually thought you were going to be busy today.

Benjamin: *Smiles* I got some time to work right now, But I also wanted to show you some cool photographs I took.

He excitedly walked towards them, showing them the photos as Anne and Janhvi were amazed and had a huge smile on their faces.

Janvhi: That is amazing, Yaar!

She pinched his cheek, placing a kiss as Benjamin chuckled before thanking her, kissing her cheek back, Anne smiled at both of them before speaking.

Anne: You two are adorable, you know that?

Janhvi: Mmmm, Both of us, Adorable? i think he's more adorable.

Benjamin: *Smiles* Says you.

Anne giggled at both of them before they heard laughter outside the shop, Anne recognised the voice and said she wanted to leave for a moment, She quickly walked out of the shop as her eyes lit up.

Anya Winters is her name, She is nineteen years old and is Anne's first daughter, Recently she graduated from high school. Instead of going to university, She decided to look for a job right away.

Maya Winters, She is seventeen years old and is Anne's second daughter, She's currently at high school.

Anne: *Eyes widen* Anya? Maya?

Anya: *Grins* Hey Mom! Don't mind me, We're gonna take these flowers.

Maya: *Smiles* Hope you're having a great day, Mom.

Anne: Maya, Why didn't you call me to pick you up from school?

Maya: Ermmm, Anya actually picked me up.

Anya: *Smiles* I got a drivers license for a reason, Mom.

Anne: Oh really? Using your sister as your chauffeur now, Anya?

Anya: Exactly! Someone's gotta make sure little sister gets home safely.

Maya: *Rolls her eyes* She's exaggerating, Mom. I'm perfectly capable of getting home on my own.

Anne rolled her eyes before smiling at them as both daughters giggled.

Anne: Alright, alright. You two better get home soon, I don't want Maya slacking off from doing her homework.

Anya: *Nudges* You heard her.

Maya: *Rolls her eyes* I know.

They shared a laugh before the girls took the flowers and said "Bye to their mother, Anne just smiled at them before going back to the shop.
