Was it harder to die? Or harder to be the one who survived?

DAISY stared up at Hive with pleading eyes.

He stared back down at her, "Interesting." He clicked his tongue, "Your name. Something... pretty. Not pretty like the sky. A flower. Daisy."

Tears pooled in her eyes as she begged him, "Please."

He placed his hand on her cheek, and she started panting, leaning her face closer to his hand. He then pulled back, looking from her and his hand. "What?" She asked frantically. "What is it?"

He narrowed his eyes at her. "I can't."

"What?" Her voice croaked. "Why not? What did S.H.I.E.L.D. do to you?"

He took a step back from her. "It's not what S.H.I.E.L.D. did to me. It's what that creature stole from you. He made you... impervious."

"Please." He shook his hand and started walking away. "Just..." She started to breath in shakily as he continued to walk away. "No." She looked down, feeling anger start to take control of her.

"I'm sorry, Daisy."

She stood up, glaring at him, everything around them started to shake. Her hands were clenched so tight that she was drawing blood from the palm of her hands thanks to her nails. A scream left her and she threw out her hands, a huge shock wave crashed into Hive, sending him backwards.

Daisy marched up to him as he stood up. "Perhaps this was always meant—" She cut him off as she hit him with another shock wave, sending him back into the wall. He glared up at her. "No more talking, then." He ran towards her and se ran towards him.

She hit him with a full on shock wave, his whole body was shaking as he slid backwards on his feet. He was holding his ground, but so was she.

Daisy stopped with the shock wave and ran towards him. He swung fists at her, but she easily hit his arms, sending shock waves as she did so. And when she went to punch him, he grabbed her arm, used it to trap her other arm, pulled her closer to him, and head-butted her. She groaned as he kicked her in the side and she went flying into a crate.

She sat up quickly, blasted the crate with a shock wave, and it went flying back, but Hive easily jumped onto it, and did a flip, landing in front of her. He tried to punch her, she dodged it. She tried to punch him, he dodged it.

She grabbed his arm and sent a punch to his jaw. He swung his arm at her again but she ducked, and hit him in the side with a shock wave.

Daisy ran forwards, grabbed onto the crate he was leaning against, put her feet on the wall, ran along it, and sent a huge blast to Hives' head, sending him back. She landed on her feet and tried to send a kick to his face, but he easily hit her foot, making it go back down.

He jumped and sent a punch to her, but she dodged it with her arm. She sent one punch towards his face and another to his shoulder, he easily used her arm to spin himself around, grabbed her, and threw her into the wall. He pulled her off of the wall, and before she had the time to do anything, he kicked her in the side again. She went flying to the ground, knocking over a tool box.

She grabbed a screwdriver, stood up, tried to stab him with it, but he grabbed her arm, and sent a punch to her face. He took the screwdriver from her, tried to stab her in the face, but she ducked, and backed up. She tried to swing her arm at his head, but he grabbed it and twirled her around, bringing her back into his chest where her back was pressed up against his chest. He had the screwdriver in his hand, not that far away from her neck.

"You know killing me won't make the pain go away. Or will it? I can't remember," he told her, seemingly not in the right state of mind.

She elbowed him in the face, twisted his arm, kicked him in the gut, wrapped her arm around his, pushed herself against the wall, and swung him around until he hit the wall as well. She twirled around and grabbed his hand with the screwdriver in it. She tried to push forward to stab him in the heart, but he was resisting.

"I don't want you to die," she spat at him, "I want you to suffer." She quickly let go of him and sent a shock wave to his hand that held the screwdriver, the screwdriver pierced his chest.

He let go of the screwdriver and just stood against the wall. "Seems you're the one who's suffering." She gripped the screwdriver, ripped it out of his chest, and started stabbing him over and over again. "I'm sorry you won't feel our connection... pieces solving a puzzle."

She looked up at him, dropped the screwdriver, took a step back, and sent a shock wave to his chest. His bones started to crack and bent, making her smirk in satisfaction. She dropped her hand, breathing heavily.

"But we must continue without you," He grunted, forcing himself to stand taller, all his bones mending back together. "Bones don't hold me up. I'm held up by all the parts working as one."

She turned around to see a Zephyr landing, and was knocked upside the head, and she groaned, darkness welcoming her.

DAISY looked outside the window of the containment module, her arms crossed. She was bored. Well, that was before she saw one of the Inhumans Hive and her created, get dragged down. What she saw surprised her. "What are you doing here?"

"Grabbing you, taking back the Zephyr," May informed her with a head tilt.

Daisy was about to say something else to her when the panel to the module beeped, alerting her that Fitz was trying to get her out of here. "No, Fitz, don't open that!"

"What?"

"I should be in here," she told the both of them. "I'm a liability."

May nodded at Fitz who said, "Okay, well, I think there's some weapons in the back." He then ran off.

Daisy sighed, seeing May's look. "It's like he scraped me out of my own skull. Even when I tried killing him, he beat me. My powers are nothing compared to Hive."

She took a step closer to the module. "I don't give a damn about your powers. They're not what made you an agent. I did."

She shook my head. "May, you — you have no idea what I did," she choked out. "I have nothing left. I hurt my family, my pack, everyone I have ever cared about."

"Then why did Andrew save you?" Se looked down. "Yeah, you did a lot of bad things. All you can do now is balance the scales, do some good. You want to give up, live in a box? Go ahead. But that hurt stays in there with you. Believe me. Listen, I may not always show it, but I—" She grunted, falling to the ground.

She jumped, trying to look at her. "May!" She looked up to see Giyera with the gun Fitz just had a second ago.

Fitz stood up, hands raised. When Giyera went to shoot him, Fitz frantically started speaking. "Wait, wait, wait! If you kill me, you'll die. I swear. I swear. I have a weapon in place on this plane that's designed to kill you. So if you shoot me, I can't tell you what that is. But you won't see it coming."

"Leave him alone!" Daisy shouted. "Giyera, listen to me. Look at me." He looked to her. "You and I have a connection, right?"

"Not anymore," he deadpanned before looking back to Fitz. "I swept the plane. Didn't see anything."

"I'm telling the truth, I swear. You won't see it." Fitz started to breath heavily as Giyera walked towards him, gun still raised.

"Show me."

"Okay. Okay. Okay, just let me put this down. Remember, we don't want to hurt you if we don't have to." Daisy watched Fitz, curious on what he was doing. "People that are under sway... they're not in control of their actions. They're not bad people. Well... except you. You were a murderous wank before all this." Multiple gunshots went off, and Giyera fell backwards.

Daisy breathed out, impressed.

Fitz walked up to the panel and opened the door to the module. Daisy stepped out and both Fitz and her helped May into a room. She closed the door behind them, making sure no one was following them.

"I'm okay." May shoved Fitz off of her.

"We disabled the containment module," Fitz informed her.

Daisy shivered. "Hive can't escape."

"So you're with us?" Daisy nodded at May before crossing her arms. "You okay?" Daisy turned to her, confused, so she explained, "You're shaking."

Fitz spoke up, "She's going through withdrawals. Plus, the Zephyr can handle high altitude, but it's not designed for it. It's subfreezing outside, which also means—"

May cut him off, "The air's getting thin in here."

"So we should limit our movements and try and keep warm." Fitz took his jacket off and put it on Daisy who sent him a grateful smile and slipped her arms through the sleeves.

"So, what do we do next?" She asked May, breathing in shakily.

May glanced to Fitz. "This is as far as we got."

UPON hearing something land on the Zephyr, Daisy turned towards May and Fitz. "The Quinjet ... it's here."

Fitz nodded. "Yeah, the Quinjets fly themselves. Director Coulson must've called one to him."

May spoke her opinion, "They're ducks in a barrel until they deplane, though."

Daisy stuck her hands in the pocket of the jacket, grabbing something. She frowned, looking down at what was in her hands. Her eyes widened as she remembered the vision of the future. It was the same cross necklace. She looked down at the jackets' shoulder's, it was the same jacket as in the vision.

"Let's just hope whoever's on the Quinjet has an idea about what happens next."

She looked up at them, know exactly what happens next." She clutched the necklace in her hand.

DAISY watched May punch James who went unconscious. She stepped forward, smiling at Lincoln who looked up. She frowned, looking down at his side to see something orange and it looked ready to blow up. "Lincoln!" He tried to get it off of him, but it blew up before he could.

They dragged him close to the med bay, but leaned him against the wall on the floor. Daisy fell onto my knees on the floor, grabbing his face in her hands. He was bleeding profoundly from his side. "Is he okay?" She gulped as nobody answered her, "Tell me he's gonna be okay," she demanded, ready to burst into tears at any given moment.

Jemma answered Daisy as she took care of him, "Yes, yeah, he'll live, um, if there's no internal hemorrhage."

"I'm sorry, Lincoln," Daisy croaked and he turned his head to face her, "I'm sorry. I never meant to turn against you. I never—"

He cut me off, "I know. I don't blame you. You weren't yourself."

She sniffled. "I am now." She wiped away a stray tear, "You never came to see me in my cell."

He grunted, placing his clammy hand on her cheek. "I knew what you were going through and that you needed time." He was breathing heavily, "To put yourself back together."

She swallowed thickly. "D—Did I ruin this? Us?"

"I just think..." As he trailed off, she knew that she ruined it like she has ruined every other good thing in her life. "We need to work on ourselves before we can talk about us."

A sob escaped her, she couldn't hold it back anymore. "Yeah." She took in a deep breath. "The stuff that I did, Lincoln, I can't live with it."

He weakly uttered a response. "I remember that pain... sick with guilt, anger. I know why you went to face Hive alone."

"I tried. I tried to defeat him," sh choked out, another sob escaping her, "I did, but I—"

"Daisy. Daisy." He grabbed her face so he was looking at her. "I know why you went to him. Like I said, I've been through it. I've hit bottom. I know what it's like to be so addicted to something... that you'd do anything to get her back." Her eyes widened at his words. "Coulson's gonna need your help. I don't know what he's planning, but—"

She cut him off, I do."

"What are you—"

She sighed and wiped away her tears. "He — He had the Quinjets fly here remotely, right? So he probably... Set new coordinates for outer space. The Quinjet will disconnect from the Zephyr and then fly straight up until it leaves the atmosphere. If we can steal the warhead and load it onto the Quinjet somehow, it'll blow in the... Vacuum of space, and the pathogen will disperse harmlessly... Solving at least that part of the problem."

He gently grabbed the cross necklace that she had put on. "What are you — That's — Where did you get that?" She didn't answer him. "Daisy? What are you—"

She cut him off again, "I'm accepting fate."

Lincoln shook his head frantically, "No. Don't try to do this yourself."

She gave him a look. "Hive will come down here looking for us. If the others can keep him occupied, I'll be able—"

"No, I remember what you said about your vision. Someone will be in that Quinjet with the warhead."

She sighed. "Only if I have to."

He grabbed her face. "Do not go in there. That thing will fly itself if nobody touches the controls."

"I know. I know. I—" She was cut off as he roughly grabbed the jackets' collar, pulling her closer to him.

"I know what you're thinking. You said you can't live with what you've done, but you have to. Okay?" She nodded, about to cry again. "Promise me you won't — you won't try to... atone for your sins with some kind of sacrifice."

She looked him in the eyes. "I can't do that."

DAISY made her way to the Quinjet and shock waved the bomb onto it. She quickly started to untie it when...

"Well, isn't this poetic?" She jumped up abruptly and turned to face Hive. "Feels like it was meant to be. You're easy to find. I smelled your blood. Led me right here."

She stood tall. "Every Inhuman has a purpose. Lash saved me so I could end this."

He was taking steps towards her, "S.H.I.E.L.D. has you fighting their wars again. We plan to end wars, remember? Bring peace."

"You mean absolute power," she corrected him. "Well, not today. The autopilot coordinates have been set. This thing is going to outer space... with you in it." She pressed the button and the ramp started to close.

"Ward is still here," He reminded her, "He can just manually override the controls."

Daisy looked down, noticing the blood trail that led to the front of the Quinjet.

"That's why I had to come." Her eyes widened as Lincoln popped up from behind the chair. "I shorted the manual controls." He threw out his hand, a electricity beam hitting her in the chest, making her go flying backwards.

Daisy looked up, seeing them flying up. "No!" Quickly, I ran to the control room where all the others were. I grabbed the walkie talkie, "Lincoln, come in. Damn it, Lincoln! Do you copy? Lincoln. Lincoln!" She slammed her hand on the desk, her heart beating against her chest as she awaited his voice. "Lincoln!"

"I'm here."

She breathed out a breath of relief before turning angry, "What are you doing? This is crazy."

"This is my purpose. I know that now."

She shook her head, tears falling from her eyes. "W-Why — Why would you—"

"I was the only one who could fry the manual controls to make sure this worked and to make sure... you didn't try to do this yourself."

"No. No. It's supposed to be me. I saw the future. This is my destin—" She stopped talking as she reached for the necklace, but it was gone.

"Yeah, sorry. I stole it from you." At his words, she dropped to the floor, cradling the walkie talkie to her.

"This is not how it's supposed to be," Her voice cracked as she thought about losing the first boy she has ever loved. "It should be me to fix the damage to my friends, to you. You can't just die for me like this," she sobbed, shaking her head in denial. "It's — It's wrong."

"I don't know. Saving the girl that I love and the world at the same time? Feels pretty right to me." She ignored everything that was going on around her, only focusing on Lincoln. "The jet's shaking pretty good. I hope it... together."

More sobs escaped her, "Lincoln, you're breaking up."

"The communication system's dying," He informed her, "I must've fried that, too."

"Lincoln, I can't take it if you..." Daisy cried out, her bottom lip trembling. "You... can't do this."

"I wouldn't have thought so, either, but here I am."

Her voice was cracking, "No, you ca — you ca — you can't do this. Not like this. I can't just — I can't just say goodbye. I — I have too much I want to say!"

"Me, too." There was a pause. "Come to think of it, I just did. I mean, I tried, and we didn't even realize it."

"Realize what?"

"A moment ago. The first time I said I love you."

She choked back a sob. "I lo—" The walkie talkie crackled before she could even finish her sentence.

Everything froze around her, it was as if the air was thinned, and she was being suffocated by a invisible force.

And then... Everything hit her like a million bricks. A loud cry of despair left her trembling lips, quieting everything around her. The walkie talkie in her hand started to shake uncontrollably before breaking into pieces.

She jumped up to her feet and turned to Coulson, her whole body shaking with sobs. "Turn it back! Turn it back!"

Coulson shook his head. "Can't. Remote access is offline."

She shook her head at his words, pleading with him, "You have to. You have to. Help me, Coulson."

Daisy looked to Fitz as he spoke, "Even then, the Quinjet's not designed to maneuver in space, Daisy."

"No!" She cried, turning to Coulson again. "We have to at least try, Coul—" She couldn't even finish her sentence.

"He wouldn't want us to."

She brought a hand to her mouth, "He's paying for my mistake."

"No." Coulson shook his head. "He's paying for all our mistakes."

Daisy looked to the screen that showed the Quinjet blow up. "Lincoln!" Her scream pierced the air before she fell to the floor, completely breaking down.
