There was absolute stillness. Even Cora's own breath seemed to die as soon as it left her mouth. It was an eerie sort of tranquility, so instead of being soothed her senses, everything became heightened.

"How?!"

"You fainted on my arm last night. I was about to put you on the bed when your shirt slides off revealing his name. Why didn't you tell me?" Steve angrily paced around the room muttering angry words.

Cora walks toward him sighing, "I don't even know where to start Stevie." Sitting beside him. "I feel like it's the least that I can do after everything that happens to him. He was tortured by those bastards and he became the man he is not. Nat told me about how happy he was when they were together. And I don't know. I guess I wanted him to be happy?"

Cora gave a squeeze on Steve's shoulder. "Why do you get so worked about this?"

Steve gave her a guilty look. "I - I told him. Oh my god, Cora. Please forgive me. I told him to chase after Natasha and rekindle their flame again."

Words left her. She stared into those bright blue eyes filled with guilt, and Cora's heart drops to her guts. Her mind was blank and eyes wide as she stared at him. His eyes desperately searched mine... waiting.

"Hey, look at me. It's okay Stevie. Listen, let's keep it between you and I. Okay? We have the same intention and it is to make Bucky happy."

"Cora, I can tell him to not go after Nat. You have to tell him. He deserves to -"

"Steve! Stop it! I'll tell him when the time is right. And now is not the right time."

"I just need a moment. Please." With that, Cora walked out from Steve's room. Muttering a quick sorry to the team. She ran to her room sobbing. 

"Mama, when can I have my soulmate?"  little Cora ask glancing at her mama who is happily getting ready for her date with her soulmate. 

"Why do you ask little Coco?" Her mama asks teasingly bopping her nose and tickling her. Cora giggle loudly before asking her to stop. 

"I want to be happy like you Mama. I want to be just like you." 

"Well you are too young to understand it but when the time is right, you'll have your soulmate name appears at your collarbone."

"I can't wait for the time and meet my soulmate! Then we can live happily ever after just like my dolly, James and Julia." Cora cheer happily playing with the dolls. 

"If you say so, Darling. But remember Cora, in life, things don't go as planned. You need to remember. Always follow your heart." 

Cora stood at the balcony glancing at the bright stars wishing for her mama to be here with her.
