Alfor (Allura's father) was the founder/owner of the mental hospital before he died, he left it for his daughter.

A/N: Some of the things that I will be writing about I know because I either have them and is dealing with them like: depression, anxiety and an eating disorder. Other things I know from friends and family. So some things may not be fully correct and I apologize before hand, plus I haven't been hospitalized for any of my struggles (yet) so I don't know how it's really like being in a mental hospital but I know what it is like dealing with mental pain everyday and the struggles that come with these disorders etc.
I also want to write this to get awareness out there about mental health. It can and is scary but it isn't something that should be looked down upon and be shameful about. Individuals struggling with different mental illnesses are so strong even if they can't see it, believe it or feel it, because each day, every single second they are fighting/struggling with their own minds to just survive- that takes some kind of strength there to do that even when your disorder might run you into the ground, leaving you hopeless.
