Things I'm grateful for today:
1. That I was able to try weed.
2. That Tom's friends are actually pretty cool.
3. That I had a pretty good time at Tom's birthday party.

What is something that I have overcome?
I have had four open-heart surgeries. The first was when I was twelve; the second and third were I was fourteen; the fourth was when I was nineteen. The last three were unexpected and came as a shock.
I was born with a malformed aortic valve and when I was twelve, I had it repaired. The subsequent surgeries were because the valve had become infected and needed further repairs. When I was nineteen, I finally had the valve replaced; before that, the doctors could not replace the valve because I was not yet fully grown.
I am in more or less good health right now, though I'll need to have the valve replaced again at some point.
