Things I am thankful for today...
1. I went to a presentation on Medieval armor at Hammond Castle. It was followed by a knighting ceremony where I was dubbed "Dame Rachel of Gloucester."
2. Following the knighting ceremony, I went for a tour of the castle. Hammond Castle was built by John Hayes Hammond Jr. in the 1920s and was cobbled together from bits of buildings he had sent over from Europe. The great hall has a Byzantine bishop's chair which was apparently John Hammond's favorite place to sit and read. He used to spend all night there reading and wearing a monk's habit. This is a level of extra I can respect.
3. Mom and I went to have our nails done this afternoon.

What would my ideal day of health look like? What do I need to do to achieve this every day?
A healthy day starts with a good night's sleep. I would wake up feeling refreshed and energized. All day I would have plenty of energy and only feel tired when I'm ready to go to sleep. To achieve this, I would have to watch what I eat. Too much fatty junk foods make you feel sluggish and tired and caffeine and sugar make it difficult for you to fall asleep.
