I ran behind my husband....with my sinking heart.....
Somewhere in the corner I was feeling afraid.....what if he knows everything about me....

Agar sab jaan kar bhi anjaan ban'ne ka natak kia hoga na apne....
To mein phir kabhi apki taraf dekhungi bhi nhi.....!

I swear !

With heavy heart I followed him and reached the lounge where harsh bhaiya was literally shaking due to anger....and the other three were also in a rigid position standing near Harsh bhaiya....

a cell phone was lying on the floor in the broken state....a bad state!

Might be harsh bhaiyas phone....!

My hubby held harsh bhaiyas shoulder.....
Asking him about his scream

I was standing just behind him...waiting to hear harsh bhaiya...

Par even harsh bhaiya doesn't know anything about hassan...then why did he yell?

Is everyone ditching me....?

Jab koi Hassan k bare mein janta hi nhi to phir ?

Tears started gathering behind my lids...

I can't ! I can't handle more deceits.....

"That filth..." harsh bhaiya was about to say something when his eyes caught my sight.....

And his eyes held apology..!

He looked at my hubby and their eyes conversed...

Which I noticed very clearly.....

I looked at them in confusion....

My hubby turned .... he was breathing hard...!

He didn't look in my eyes...!!

I know he is hiding something....! Please manik ...I love you...!! Mere dil k sath mat kheliye... !

"Whose call was it bhaiya ?" I asked still looking at my hubby....

Still he didn't look up.....

"None of your concern hagemaru ....just one of my employees stole some conditionals but he has been caught ...so I just bursted out..." harsh bhaiya stammered but still made me believe with his reason....

Haan Nandani ...!! You are misunderstanding them....in sab ko kuch nhi maaloom tere bare mein....

They are oblivious of the truth ....

And my heart sighed with delight...

"Suniye...!" I called him to break his earth starring session....

And he looked at me with some remorse in his eyes.....

"Umm Nandani get me water please...!" He closed his eyes and pressed his lips tight....

Something is wrong !

"Ji ! Abhi lai ..." I walked towards the kitchen.....when harsh bhaiya followed me....

I know he wants to listen my verdict....!!

But still I'm angry !!

I was pouring the chilled the water in the glass when he called me...

"Hagemaru ! "

I sighed and turned....his eyes were teary...mine were also filled with tears....

"Do you want something ?"

"Mein yahan kis liye aya hn ... tughe achi tarah se pta hai !"
"Did my baby sister forgive me ?" He asked with a scratchy voice and opened his arms....

I couldn't handle it more....And without thinking for a moment I hugged him....!!

"Kyon chor k chale gaye bhaiya...jab the iss dunya mein...toh mughe apne paas kyon nhi rakha....why did you leave me ? "

"I didn't know Nandani that you were alive....I thought you also ....jab tum uss sweeper k sath gai thi...to last call hui thi flight ki ... isliye mein tumhe bulane aya tha...aur Jab mein lounge mein aya to tum nhi thi wahan par...and then I heard the loud explosion. ..I thought you...you..." the lump in his throat didn't allow him to utter more and he hugged me more tight....we cried...!

"I love you bhaiya ...!" I stated with my teary smile...

And he broke the hug.....

"I love you too my baby hagemaru !" He said and pulled my cheeks affectionately. ...

"But ap yahan kese aye ? You didn't know about my whereabouts....then how come you reached here ?"
I asked and he looked tensed....

"Wo...wo... actually I came to India to look after our business...but since past few days ...I wasn't feeling well...! My head used to ache like hell..!that's why I came to the hospital and there I met you...! You didn't listen to me and left ... I traced your steps and reached your hubby's room....where we conversed and he invited me at his home ...haan aese hi aagaya mein ...tughse milne...!"
He spoke while playing with his fingers...

"Haan to is mein ap itna ghabra kyon rahe hain...you can visit us ...whenever you wish !" I smiled and we walked out.....

My hubby was busy with his cell...while shahid Rahul and cabir bhaiya were talking randomly.....

"Suniye ! " I called him and pushed the glass forward....

He looked at me and then looked behind me....he smiled recognizing that our sis-bro relation has been sought...

"Thankyou ! Meri jaan !" He smiled sweetly and drank the water in a sip...

"Kia bol rahe hain ap ...yahan sab hain! " I whispered shyly and took the glass from his hand ...

But he held my hand....

"To ! Kia mein darta hn kisi se !" He pulled my hand a little....

I looked at the right side....where cabir bhaiya was smiling mischievously at us...I faked a smile to him...

And focused on my romeo...

"Choriye ....! " I whispered yelled ....and tried to free my hand....

"Nhi to! ...nhi to kia! ....kia karogi tum ...!" He raised his voice a little.... deliberately.....and the remaining beings looked at us...harsh bhaiya was sitting behind me ...a little far ...on the couch....

But I know my hubby's loud voice have must gained his attention. ...

"Bolo ! Ab kyon chup ho ! Sab ko pta chalna chahiye k tum kia kia karti ho mere sath !" Suddenly his voice got cracky...

"Huuuhh ?" I was confused...what is he upto...?

Phir se nautanki !!

"Dekhiye mein bta rahi hn..!" I was about to threaten him when he intervened....

"Kia ! Kia btaogi haan ! Dekh harsh teri behen kese darati hai mughe !" He spoke and peeped his face beside me....

Acha ! Wait Mr . Malhotra ! I slammed my teeth together...!

"Nandani ... kia hua ?" Harsh bhaiya came and stood beside me...

My hubby was sitting ...and I was still bending...our hands were cuffed in the middle with the glass in between...

I saw him and he winked at me...hiding his smile.....

" Bhaiya ... ye mughse khush nahi hain...inhe lagta hai k mein inhe bohot pareshaan karti hn ...to bas mene faisla karlia hai ... mein ab aapke sath rahungi....!" I spoke in a crying tone while looking at my hubby...

Whose face was pale....opaque....!

Chehre ka rang hi ur gaya....!!

Bohot hasi aa rahi thi na !!

Harsh bhaiya seemed confused!

Suddenly my hubby left my hand in shock... thankgod the glass didn't fell....

"Chaliye bhaiya mein apna Saman le kar ati hn....!" I wiped my dry cheeks and turned....kept the glass on table and climbed the first step of stairs....

Abhi awaaz ayegi...!!

"Nandani !" I turned and now it was my time to smile but I hide it expertly...

"Ji ! Kahiye !" I coated the plump on my tone....

He came towards me .... but didn't mound the stair...

He glared at me and I winked at him ...

He muttered some curses....I showed him my tongue....

"See Nandani ! Don't try to enact your smartness ! Tum kahin nhi ja rahi !" And he pulled me down from the stairs....

"Nhi bas mein janti hn k aap mere sath khush nhi hai...mein chali jaongi bhaiya k sath...!" I uttered slowly while looking down....

Hahaha !! Hehehe !!

Suddenly he held my waist .... and pushed his lips near my ear....

"Don't flaunt your smartness ...meri jaan ! Warna I'll kiss you ...right here infront of everyone...! And you know me very well...I can and i will !"

He pulled himself back and left my waist

I looked at him with wide eyes...and he raised his eyebrows...

"What happened nandini ? Don't you wanna come ? Manik mana kar raha hai kia ?" Harsh bhaiya strode towards us...

He looked at manik with questioning eyes.....

"Nhi mene kab mana kia...right Nandani ? "
He smirkingly asked me ...

Dil to chah raha hai ek zor se laga dun !!

Par iss baar nhi ! Mein inhe btaongi k mein nhi darti inse !! This time I'll proof !!

"Nhi bhaiya inhone mana nhi kia..."
I said in a low tone and looked at my hubby who was smiling with a victorious expression.....

Abhi meri baat poori nhi hui ... !

"To bas ap wait kijye I'll be back in seconds...." I squealed happily and ran upward.....climbing the stairs hastily ...

"Nandani slowly !" Both the men behind me shouted ...

I turned to look at them whilst giggling when my sprained foot again got tripped and before I could kiss the earth my hubby held me securely in his arms....

"Ouch !" I cried my already sprained foot was swimming in the ache....

"CANT YOU BE A GROWN UP ? WHAT IS WITH YOU TO JUMP AROUND LIKE A KID EVERYTIME ! APNA KHAYAL NHI RAKH SAKTI TUM ! "
My hubby lashed out and picked me up in his arms...

I looked at surroundings and their his friends were standing ... I looked at them making an innocent face but they all look disappointed and thus chose to leave.... even harsh bhaiya looked furious ...

"Mughe dard ho raha hai " I whimpered and looked at my hubby ... hoping that he would shower some mercy ...

" MEIN PAGAL HN KIA JO TUMHE BOLTA HN AHISTA CHALA KARO ! PAR NHI TUM MERI BAAT SUNTI KAHAN HO ! BEWAKOOF HN NA MEIN !"

I looked at bhaiya but he turned giving me that it's your fault ..now handle look...and he left ...

Leaving me alone with the monster...

Aaj to gai mein kaam se.....!

He was about to step up when I uttered...

"Put me down !"

And he closed his eyes to keep his rage in check...

Mughe sab k samne ese dant dia...nhi chahiye mughe inki koi madad...!

Aur akele to inke sath bilkul nhi jaongi room mein ...!Kitne gusse mein hai..! Aiyooo!

He opened his eyes but didn't look at me and was about to climb up..when my voice stooped him ...again...!!

" leave me ! I can take care of myself ! Apka ehsaan nhi chahiye mughe !" I mumbled while making fake angry pout.... but this time maybe I spoke too much !

And in the next second my feet were on the floor....

Damn my foot was paining like bitch !

He looked at me and pulled me harshly from my waist

"Ehsaan ! Meri mohabbat ko ehsaan samaghti ho tum! " the aggression in his voice made me frightened.....

Nandani you pulled the wrong string..!Aur gussa dila dya tune !

"Mera wo matlab nhi tha...aap ghlt ..." I was about to speak when he palmed my lips....

And pulled me more into him......

"Mein nhi Jan'na chahta kia matlab hai tumhara ! Tumhe mein pehle bhi keh chuka hoon aur aj akhri baar dohra(repeat)raha hn...I won't listen a word against my love Nandani!

Meri mohabbat meri izzat hai .... agar iss jahan mein koi karle tumse yun pyaar jese mein karta hoon ...to phir meri mohabbat jhooti hai...ehsaan hai !

Par ye mera dil gawah(witness)hai k jis junoon se mein tumse mohabbat karta hoon...uss junoon ki koi intehaan nhi !

Na koi aaj tak Nandani ko yun pyaar kar paya hai jese manik karta hai....aur na koi aesi deewangi kar sakega jesi manik karta hai !

He spoke while gritting his teeth tight...and left me with a jerk ...and turned...

I shrieked .... the pain in my foot made me close my teary eyes in agony!

"Meri mohabbat ka mazak nhi bnaya karo ! Chahe jaan le lo ! Par iss dil ki ruswai (insult) mat kia karo !" He suddenly turned and spoke .... when I saw a tear crawling on his cheek

Nandani ! Come on tell him that you love him like he do !

"HABIBI !" I spoke and he stopped on the last step .....

He turned and tears rolled down our cheeks...!

I love you Habibi ! Bas aj raat kardungi apni mohabbat ka iqraar!

"Monster Habibi! " I said while smiling

And he chuckled....whilst his tears....happy tears...the way his pearls flashed was proving that his heart was contented....

"Whose Monster Habibi ?" He asked and climbed a step....

He was on the second last step and I was standing on the starting ones...

"Mere monster habi..... I was about to confess and thought to proceed towards him when destiny turned it's tables and my sprained foot slipped.....

My body rolled down the stairs....

"MANIK ...!" this was the last word I screamed.....

"NANDANI ....!" And this was the last word I heard ....

Lastly I was in my hubby's laps .... Who hugged me tightly and I heard his throbbing heart....

And the curtain fell infront of my eyes....inviting the darkness.....!

Midnight , half past three...

"Mr Malhotra ! Your wife is now out of danger ...due to the severe fall ..her skull has been hitted very bad ! We have done her MRI and the reports are clear ! But she had got some stitches on her head where she got a deep cut ! Due to the high doses and sedatives she is still unconscious but will be awake soon ! You can meet her now !"The doctor spoke while patting a vulnerable maniks shoulder...Whose face was drenched with tears and shirt with her blood...

Harsh,Cabir,Shahid,Rahul all were present .... their hurt faces and wet cheeks clearly showed that how much they love the wounded soul....!

Manik ran into the room while other waited as in to give some privacy to the couple.. ...

Manik caressed her hair lightly and kissed her bandaged forehead when her bandaid got wet due to his flowing tears......

"Wake up meri jaan ! Ab se I won't scold you ! Pakka ! Ab to uth jao...meri ankhein taras gaye hain ... tumhari dilkash(extremely beautiful) ankhon ko dekhne k liye " he cried near her ear and kissed her cheek tenderly.....

".....Log kehte hain k ishq se bura koi kaam nhi.....

Log kehte hain k ashiq se bura koi naam nhi

Par mein tumse mohabbat kar k ye btana chahta hn dunya walon ko

.....K ye jaam hai hi itna meetha k iska peena bhi haram nhi....."
He mumbled just against her lips and at last pecked her lips ....when his lips quivered and a sob escaped from his mouth....

"I LOVE YOU ....!! "he murmured while pressing his lips on hers .... and then wiped her cheeks which were wet due to his tears...

He sat on the stool kept near her bed...and held her palm in his hand ......!

When her brother and his friends entered.....!

Harsh came forward and kissed her hair while shedding tears....while his friends consoled manik who was just sitting there like a shattered soul !

"Manik calm down ! Stay strong buddy she is fine but we need to talk ! Aur der nhi kar sakte manik ...wo dono hain yahan par ! Meri behen ko aur taqleef mein nhi dekh sakta main !" Harsh came towards manik and patted his shoulder....

"Hmm nhi ane dunga mein apni jaan par ek aur bhi kharoch (scratch ) bohot hogya ...ab she won't shed a single tear ! " manik spoke and kissed her palm for the last time and stood up....

Cabir suggested to talk outside but manik denied to leave Nandani alone !

So they settled on the couple of chairs which were kept aside in the room

"Manik aaj hospital mein ...main hassan se mila tha ...I broke up in a fight with him and amidst of the fight his passport fell from the pocket which he didn't noticed ...but I picked it up after he ran....as per his passport the visa for India is going to be expire by tomorrow morning ...that means in this night he won't leave any leaf unturned to get Nandani ! We have to be very cautious ! I have seen his face so now it will be easy for us to detect him !" Harsh spoke enthusiastically....

"How he looks ... tell me his facial features !" Manik spoke while thinking deeply

"Light stubble , blue eyes , fair skin , and mouse -golden hair " harsh said

"Damn harsh ! Then Hassan was the only man who shot me !" Manik spoke angrily

"But buddy how come you know ...? You told us that the shooter was covering his face with a hanky !" Rahul spoke and cringed his eyebrows...

While rest looked at manik curiously. ..

"That day I was on an isolated road ... there were no cars in the lane ...I stopped at the red light... when a veiled man knocked on my side window .... he was a rose seller !
But he looked suspicious. .....!

He forwarded a rose towards me and uttered

"Ye gulab mera hai !"

I didnt understood anything but his blue murderous eyes didn't seem good to me...
I was about to pull my gun out when he shot me and i passed out at that very moment ....! Wo hassan hi tha I'm cent percent sure !" Manik spoke angrily....

"Aur manik jis ke sath tune deal ki thi Nandani k liye uska naam TONY JOSEPH btaya tha na tune par wohi R.M hai !" Harsh spoke in a painful tone and lowered his head in shame shedding incoherent tears ....

"What ? But how is it possible ?" Manik spoke

"Haan harsh bhai you are screwing up everything .... RM is the owner of all these dirty deals...yhi naam hai uska mene uske admion ko baat karte hue suna tha wahan pe ! Aur ye Tony Joseph kon hai ?"

"Shahid he is the one who played with your life ! Tony Joseph ! I had bought Nandani from him only !"manik spoke while bowing his head a little as an indication of shame...

"Nhi manik bhai uska naam R.M hi hai !" Shahid spoke again confidently

" Wait guys ! He is playing with us .... use dubai ki citizenship Tony Joseph k naam se mili hai par wo wahan apna naam R.M btata hai .... aur India mein usne citizenship R.M k naam se li hai as an Indian so that he could stay in India as much as he wants .... par wo yahan Tony Joseph ka naam use karta hai ! Sirf apne aap ko safe rakhne k liye ! That's why manik we weren't able to locate him ! He confused us with double names ...
On that day when you guys found his card reading R.M in the club ...it was his plan ...he trapped you guys ... kyon k he has dealt with manik on cell only ...and he wanted to see you Manik .... aur to uske jaal mein phans gaya ... tu club chala gaya Nandani ko lekar ! Wo janta tha tu nandini ko akela nhi chorega ghar par !Wo log tughe nhi jante the magar Nandani ko jante the and they caught you Manik ! And after this Hassan shot you ! This was their masterplan only to get Nandani back ! Or tu janta hai who is this R.M ? Remember manik who used to have grey eyes ?" Harsh spoke amidst his tears....

Manik looked at Harsh shockingly....and Harsh palmed his face....crying bitterly!

They all were bewildered! They were the players and they were being played only !

They were in a state of shock when the doctor entered followed by two male nurses....Whose faces were covered with hygienic masks

They all stood up !

"What happened doctor ?" Manik asked in a worried tone

"See Mr. Malhotra I am doubting that your wife is suffering from an internal clot ... that's why she is not gaining her senses .... so to clear our doubt we have to take her for a CT scan ! I hope you'll Cooperate !" Doctor said and the male nurses started walking holding the stretcher ....

One from behind and one from front...

"Wait !" Manik said and they stopped but that man didn't turn who was holding her stretcher from front

"Mughe meri Nandani ki kasam ! Aaj sooraj nikalne se pehle mein uss harami ko uska kafan pehna k rahunga !"
Manik bend down and kissed her forehead and looked at the men from the corner of his eyes who was holding her stretcher from front.....!

His eyes turned dark but he didn't noticed that his wife who was lying lifeless on the stretcher shed a tear !

THAT MEANS SHE WAS ALL EARS !

SHE HEARD EVERYTHING !

SHE PRETENDED TO BE ASLEEP !

JUST TO VIEW THE REAL FACADE OF HER HUSBAND !!

And the doctor left while taking a broken heart with him....

As soon as she left manik spoke something which made everyone shocked

"GUYS THE BIRD IS IN CAGE !
YOUR COUNTDOWN STARTS

And he smirked as he noticed one of the male nurses eyes were GREY !!

ALAS ! DONE !
