SEVENTY!

A/N: I'm having a major time skip because nothing really important happens, plus it would just be really long. No really this is the 70th chapter (0_o) WOW OMG! Love y'all! ♡🦉

Also, I'm kind of planning it out again, and it's beginning to make more sense!

Nobody's POV:

**Time Skip: April 1st**

Time had somehow stopped flowing uniformly, sometimes speeding up or slowing down, and quite possibly flowing at different speeds for different people.

For Astoria and Blaise, with their up and coming wedding, time had flowed rather quickly with all the last minute preparations. They were trying to make everything perfect, though Astoria's mother was still not content with the bridesmaid and groomsman switch. ("It's untraditional, no Greengrass should do so!" "Then thank goodness I'm becoming a Zabini, mother!" Naturally, that didn't exactly go over well)

Meanwhile, other weddings were also coming up, and fast. Harry and Ginny's on May 2nd, Luna and Neville's on the 8th of June, just three days after Ron and Lavender's, the 5th.

Seeing as June 5th was also Draco's birthday, a surprise for him was underwraps, though with the stress of everything else, his birthday might end up long forgotten.

For the rest of the group as a whole, every day was a ticking time bomb. Draco and Hermione had yet to talk to the other, despite attempts made by everybody to bring them together. They were growing continuously scared for what might happen to the couple, afraid of what fate had in store for them.

After about three weeks of trying, Hermione eventually gave up with trying to get Draco to notice her once more. She focused mostly on her studies now, though she was also becoming increasingly concerned about the marriage law. If they waited much longer, the three year time span originally given to them would not be long enough for her to bear two children.

Draco continued on, trying to forget, but becoming more and more hurt each time. Whenever he tried to go back, he remembered how she had given up on him and their horrible past. How she had been tortured right in front of his eyes and he just stood there, unmoving, doing nothing.

All of Hogwarts, students and staff, as well as the rest of the wizarding world (Thanks, Rita Skeeter) knew about the situation as well. Draco and Hermione (Or, Dramione as The Prophet liked to call them) were the hottest new couple, ("Everybody loves a forbidden romance!) and as they "basically broke up", many were left heartbroken.

Dear Lord, when would this mess end? Hopefully soon because everybody's patience was running thin.

Draco's POV:

One month.

It had been one month since Hermione and I had shared a coherent conversation. Well, more like one and a half...okay fine...two months.

Everything was starting to eat me up, from the inside out.

I had ignored Hermione, first of all, despite all her attempts to get me to talk to her. But how could I?

She had lied to me, and yes, I overreacted, but it was too late now. She had given up on me, and when the roles had been reversed, she ignored me too, instead focusing on her studies.

Ginny had permanently moved in with Hermione, and I with Harry. Ginny agreed to this because "Harry literally forgot how to sleep, I swear that boy can be so stupid sometimes!"

I was going to be honest, I was, well, am, miserable without her.

Life classes had been borderline crime scenes half of the time, and just my luck, we had one right now.

Oh the joys of trying not to kill your spouse.

"Come on, Draco, stop sulking already and get to class!" Hermione snaps from beside me. If we hadn't been in such an awkward situation, I would have snapped back at her. No I wouldn't have, actually, if we weren't fighting she would have just dragged me by the ear. Hm, which option is better? Truth be told, I really can't tell. Hermione Granger-Malfoy, now actually (Don't doubt that I smirk a bit as I think of this.) is scary either way.

"I'm coming," I drawl, tirelessly dragging myself behind her.

"Not fast enough!" She growls, this time grasping my hand to drag me.

Despite the gesture being a bit rude, I felt tingles go up my sine.

Improvement! She touched me! She touched me!

I smile giddily at her bushy head of brown hair. She drags me right into a wall during my daze and I yelp.

"Aye!" I howl, clutching the right side of my face.

"Shut up!" Hermione hisses, dragging me through the portrait and into the classroom.

This is the most we've talked in a while! I beam as I sit down, waiting for Professor Huckielle to begin the lesson. She ever so slightly glares at me, but her eyes soften as she sees Hermione. Hermione enthusiastically waves at her, earning herself a small chuckle from the teacher.

I frown in confusion. What's that all about? Is it her getting an invitation from Hermione to my mother's New Years Ball?

I remember how Hermione and the other girls had been so excited when their Hogwarts professor had shown up. They looked like kids in a candy store, or possibly Ronald when he saw chicken or went into Honeydukes (which was basically a kid in a candy store).

The grande doors opened slightly and a person wearing a long, purple gown entered. She adjusted a handheld purse and straightened out her dress, looking a little bit nervous.

"Danielle!" Hermione squealed, turning away from me and towards the door. The other girls whipped around too, and joined Hermione in sprinting over to our Professor.

"What the bloody...?" Ron looked back and forth from the spots where the girls had stood, mere seconds earlier, and where they stood now.

"No idea," I comment, taking a sip of Firewhiskey. "No idea."

Professor Huckielle slams a large wooden hammer down on the table and yells out, "ORDER IN THE COURT!"

I jump, feeling a bit startled by the sudden sound.

Hermione giggles a bit, but scowls when she notices me looking at her in confusion.

Professor Huckielle stands up and eyes all of the students in the room carefully, inspecting...well actually I don't know. (I seem to not know a lot these days, am I still doing well, academically and socially?)

"Today we will talk about the possibilities of divorce in the muggle world versus in the wizarding world." Professor Huckielle throws the wooden hammer behind her.

"Yeet!" Dean Thomas leans over and whispers it into Hermione and Harry's ears. They both fall into a fit of giggles while I wonder what the heck that word meant.

Yete? What does 'yete' mean?

"Who can tell me the difference?" Professor Huckielle continues, shattering my thoughts.

Instinctively, Hermione's hand shoots up in the air, hitting my nose on it's way up. She pays no attention to me as I groan as the pain begins to set in.

"Wizards cannot get divorced, Professor," She explains.

Oh wait, yeah. Totally forgot about that.

"Very good!" Professor Huckielle compliments. "Take five points for Gryffindor. Now in the muggle world..."

Really? Gryffindor needs more points?

"...you must write a short story of a muggle couple getting divorced." The professor concludes. I sigh.

Yeah well, that won't be hard.

Hermione took out a piece of parchment and started jotting down some bullets.

"They're getting divorced because..." She trails off and bites the end of her quill, staring out into space. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked.

How was I lucky enough to get her, but unlucky enough to be in this situation with her? Stop it Draco! You can't think those thoughts...not again...

"The husband cheated," I suggest. Her eyes darken for a brief second, but she writes it down anyways. My mind shoves a thought forward, a thought that suggested she thought I was giving it to her because it was what had happened.

But it wasn't that, it truly wasn't.

I had loved Hermione a few months ago, and even if I didn't right now, I would never cheat on her.

Never in a million years.
