Graduation-85
A/N: Go follow my Fleur account! @MrsVeelaWeasley and join the Hogwarts_Official roleplay! Also my other account @hfalcon244823 for a MLB roleplay!
This is also the last chapter. After this there's nothing else but the epilogue. That's it. This was started on May 21st and it is June 25th as I write this. I've posted at least one chapter a day and look where this is now! Almost 2K reads and 600 votes, thank you all so much.
I cannot express how sad and happy this is. I've loved writing this, even if sometimes I had to drag myself through it. It's sad that this is coming to and end but it's been (to varying degrees) successful and that's amazing.
Love you my readers! Enjoy this chapter. ♡🦉
Hermione's POV:
With slight horror, I use my wand to cast a destruction spell, flinching as the small object in my hand explodes almost immediately after the spell was cast.
Nobody can see it, not even Draco. Great Godric, didn't he chastise me for this? Secret keeping?
I take a sharp inhale and step out the door, calling on all of my Gryffindor confidence to make myself appear confident, and not the shaking horror I am inside.
"Graduation today!" Draco smiles, kissing me on the forehead.
I grimace. "Yeah, bittersweet day."
"Well do you and the girls need to get ready? I can leave the room," Draco offers, grabbing a garment bag from the closet.
What a sweet husband. Should I tell him? NO!
"YES!" I scream accidentally. Realizing what I had done, I clamp a hand over my mouth in shock as he looks over at me, confused and offended. "I mean...that would be great!"
"Oooh-kay." He slurs, calling out the door for the girls. "HERMIONE'S WAITING FOR YOU!"
I hear the rush of feet stomping down the hall and Draco is pulled away from the door, replaced by my five pregnant friends, all holding dresses.
"You're like my super beauty squad of superheroes or something," I snort.
"Because we are," They all chorus together, causing us all to go into a fit of giggles.

To be quite honest, getting ready was a blur of passing time that I could not track. It was full of over-obsessive makeup doing, hair styling and dress refittings.
Having a room full of pregnant women did not help either, everybody was in a bad mood but me.
Honestly even getting ready seemed to be somehow more torturous than before, and we didn't even have to make any decisions!
The Hogwarts staff decided that we would graduate to muggle way in an attempt to incorporate muggle traditions in a magical school. The girls all had to wear silk dresses of their main house colour, black robes, black heels and a graduation cap with a tassel their other house colour. That meant I was wearing a red dress with a golden tassel.
The guys just wore dress shirts of their main house colour with a cap with the other colour for their house with their graduation robes and dress shoes.
Everybody still seems cranky.
"STOP MOVING!"
"I AM NOT MOVING!"
"YES YOU ARE!"
"SHUT UP!" I roar, placing my book down, tired of the constant screaming. Even though I wasn't actually trying to fall asleep, it felt like somebody was screaming in my ear, just as I had reached that sweet spot of unconsciousness. They also seemed louder than when Draco yelled in my ear to get up sometimes...
What about pregnancy makes your voice louder?
I have no idea, but they are howling like hyenas.
"OWWWW!" Lavender howls (howls) as she slips on a heel, catching her finger in one of the straps.
"Come on, the ceremony is in an hour and we need to be there in fifteen minutes!" I announce, heading towards the door.
"What!" Luna gasps. "We can't get that far in heels!"
Thank goodness somebody recognizes that.
"Let's get going then!" Astoria bustles over to the door and zips right out.
Her heels are like a thousand centimeters tall! How can she run?
I slowly speed up my walking, wobbling as I get to about double my original pace.
"Alright don't die there, 'Mione!" Pansy warns, protectively wrapping her arms around her stomach to shield the baby in case she fell.
"Trying not to, but you all took so bloody long!" I whine, gripping tightly on the railing to avoid falling.
"God this will take us forever!" Lavender complains.
"Can we just fast forward to the part where we graduate?" Ginny growls, rushing down the steps two at a time.
"I wish," I groan.

Sitting in my hard, fold out chair, I listen to Headmistress McGonagall, a little teary eyed though still happy.
The graduates are standing on the stage. In the audience, our parents on the left, other students on the right, and the professors were in the middle.
"This is the class of 1999, now the class of 2,000," Headmistress McGonagall jokes, though there are tears present in her eyes.
"It has been wonderful to see them grow, watching as they turned from innocent little kids into fully mature adults, even after the war," Headmistress McGonagall continues. "This year has had ups and downs, including a horrible down known as the marriage law."
The parents in the audience laugh, but they also grimace. Some parents grimace so much that I become concerned for their kids.
"But without further ado, the class of 2,000!" McGonagall cries, motioning for us to stand up.
The purebloods and half bloods look towards the muggle borns, like me. I take my graduation cap and throw it into the air, whooping and high-fiving Dean roughly.
"OH YEAH!" Dean shouts, causing a wave of enthusiasm to spread. The rest of their students throw their caps up and it's a mess of gold, bronze, silver and black hats.
Parents, professors and students alike stand up, clapping and cheering.
"YEAH!" Draco screams, throwing his cap as harshly as he could at his father's face. Lucius boredly flicks it away with his wands and mouths, "You'll regret that."
Draco whimpers and nudges closer to me wrapping my arms around him to protect himself.
"What a big baby!" I laugh, ruffling his already tousled hair.
"Your big baby," He corrects me.
"Ugh, don't even!" I groan, smacking my forehead at his foolishness.
"Students, would you please follow us to the Black Lake!" Danielle calls.
"To the Black Lake? Do I look like I want to go swimming?" Ginny huffs.
"We're going to go in the boats like we did in our first year. I read it in-" I get cut off by all my friends.
"Hogwarts; A History." We chorus.
I blink at them. "Don't look so surprised," Blaise snorts. "It happens-"
"All the time." We chorus again, rolling our eyes and doubling over laughing before following the rest of the students, professors and parents to the Black Lake.

"Alright, hop in, four to a boat!" Professor McGonagall calls, pointing towards the boats that we had ridden in when we were younger.
"Our first entrance and last entrance are just as magical, how nice," I smile, stepping into a boat with Harry and Ginny in it.
"You must be kidding!" Draco gasps, gawking. "You don't seriously expect me to ride with Mr. and Mrs. Saint Pothead?"
I pat the seat next to me. "Yes I do, now get in!"
Draco bites his bottom lip and scrunches up his face and he touches a toe to the boat, overly exaggerating just to tease us.
"Get over it!" I giggle, pulling him in. The boat rocks slightly but doesn't tip over thanks to the charm that was placed on it.
The boat jolts forward and the four of us are squished together.
"My baby!" Ginny hisses, shoving Harry over to the side. "Don't stab my stomach with your pudgy fingers, Potter!"
A frightened Harry pushes his glasses up his nose and guls. "Yes love!"
"Well we're certainly bigger than we were in our first year, huh?" I giggle, leaning into Draco's steely but comforting embrace.
Draco nods. "That we are."
A golden light shines over the lake, illuminating the silvery mist resting above the waters surface.
"Magical," Ginny breathes.
"Obviously, we're wizards!" Draco jokes, earning a small giggle from Ginny.
"Really? So I accidentally touch your stomach because of something that's not my fault and I get yelled at but when he's sarcastic he gets a giggle?" Harry pouts, once again acting childish.
"Because you're a klutz, love," Ginny cooes, patting Harry's raven hair.
"Thanks," He grumbles, resting his head on his wife's shoulder.
Great Gryffindor, I've been friends with a five year old for the past decade and I'm still not insane? This must be one of the seven wonders of the world.
"Look at the castle!" I gasp, turning my head to see Hogwarts, proudly standing, rebuilt after the war. All the candles had been lit so you could see every single window, and in each window in the Astronomy tower, there were all of our pets, including those from younger years.
"Oh my god! Eunoia!" Ginny gasps.
"Who?" Draco and Harry ask.
I gasp, remembering the cat that Ginny had gotten before we started school. "I thought she ran away!"
Ginny snorts. "Guess I'm not a good cat owner."
"I never knew you had a cat!" Harry looks completely shocked having just found this out about his wife.
"Me neither!" Draco complains, always having to have his word put in.
"Well now you know!" Ginny laughs, waving at her cat. Eunoia curls her tail in response.
Thump.
Our boat hits the edge of the lake, signifying that it's now the time to get out, whether or not we wanted to.
Harry and Draco leap out of the boat frantically, wobbling and waving their limbs everywhere.
"M'Lady," Harry offers Ginny a hand.
"My idiot!" Ginny responds, taking it and hoisting herself out. Harry frowns. "Thanks" He mutters.
"Hermione," Draco offers his hand to me, positively beaming.
"My ferret!" I laugh, hoisting myself out of the boat too.
Draco huffs. "You'll never let me hear the end of that, right?"
"Definitely not," I agree.
"Let's see if we can find our friends," Ginny offers, looking around to see if she could spot somebody.
"Good idea," Draco grabs my hand and pulls me towards the middle of the sea of recent, really recent, graduates.
I smile at him, loving the feeling of his hands in mine, thinking about how perfectly our hands fit together.
He looks back at me and smiles. I smile back, unable to stop myself.
How did I get so lucky to have a guy like him? Sure Ron was great and all, but now I realize it was more of a brotherly love. Platonic love. But my love for Draco is romantic, and I will never deny it again. He is my ferret, my only and only, my truest of true loves.
Draco jolts me out of my thoughts as he stops abruptly, causing me to slam into him. "Ap!" I yelp.
"Sorry, 'Mione," Draco mutters, quickly looking around for something...or somebody...or just some whatever.
"Draco?" I ask.
"MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!" Draco yells, cupping his hands around his mouth.
A series of 'yes you may', 'what for', and 'uhhh's echo around as a crowd forms a circle around us, my parents, parents-in-laws and almost parents and friends at the front.
"Hermione Jean Malfoy nee Granger, you are the most extraordinary girl I've ever met. We grew up hating each other-"
"That's an understatement," Ron snorts. People in the audience whip their heads over to look at him and he shuts up.
Draco clears his throat. "-but as they say, there's a fine line between love and hate. I've denied it for a long time but I just can't deny it for any longer." Draco gets down on one knee and I narrow my eyes at him, sort of suspecting what he was doing.
Trembling, he reaches into his pocket and I see a bead of sweat form on his forehead. "I guess...what I'm trying to say is..."
I inhale sharply and turn away for a brief second, blushing. After a moment I turn back to him just to hear him say;
"I love you." He finishes, smiling.
"I...I love you too!" I confess, still standing awkwardly while he was on one knee for a reason I think I know...
People who are staring start to clap and cheer as he pulls out a small box from his jacket. I gasp, even the box is fancy! It's a deep, red velvet with gold, real looking gold, around the edges.
"Will you marry me?" He asks, opening the box to reveal yet another expensive engagement ring.
The ring has a silver and gold marbled band, a diamond on it and two hearts on each side of the diamond. One green and one red per side. The band was twisted into an elegant rope pattern, and somehow, it perfectly described out love. Twisted but so beautiful.
You should tell him. It's important!
Ten seconds.
No I shouldn't! Not now! Not with all these people!
Fifteen seconds.
He needs to know! You can't keep this from him for too long.
Three seconds. By now people are pressing their eyes on me, pressuring me to say something. Draco loses his confident glance as I continue to stand there looking absolutely dumbfounded.
Yeah well maybe now isn't the best time!
Thirty seconds.
"I..." I open and close my mouth like a fish, gaping.
"You?" Draco asks, beginning to breath heavily and nervously, still on one knee with the box in his hands.
Just tell him!
Sixty seconds.
With a shuddering breath, I beg my vocal cords to work. "I...?"
"You what?" Lucius snaps from the audience. Narcissa slaps a hand over his mouth and Mrs. Weasley shoots him a harsh glare.
"Take your time dear," My mother encourages me. I look over at my parents and my father smiles and points back to Draco.
Two minutes.
"PREGNANT!" I scream finally. "I'M PREGNANT!"
