Hermione's POV:
Narcissa knocked at the door again. I let go of Draco's arm and rushed over.
I pulled open the door to see everybody's, except mine, parents.
Narcissa motioned out and I followed her. I beckoned Draco over and he walked towards his parents and I.
Draco bowed his head. "Father, Mother."
Narcissa smiled. "Hello, son."
Lucius smiled tightly. "Hello, Draco. Miss Granger."
I curtsied. "Hello, Narcissa and Lucius."
We walk down the stairs and to the Great Hall in silence. Nobody dares to say anything, though I don't know why. Did I do something?
I take a seat at our normal table, now fit with an extension charm to make sure there was enough room.
An awkward silence falls as the rest of our group comes. The people that were chattering away behind us on the way here, now fall silent.
"Okay let's cut the crap." Ron groans. "What happened!?"
Lavender elbows him in the side to shut him up, but Harry pipes up.
"No really," Harry insists. "What happened?"
Neville shrugs. "I have no idea."
Luna claps a hand over his mouth. "Shush!" She whispers harshly.
Narcissa clears her throat. "Well, how is everybody?"
Molly grumbles. "I'm fine, thank you."
Seriously, what is going on? Did I grow a tail? I frown and check to make sure I had legs.
Nope, wasn't that. I had legs.
The food appeared on the table and I dug in. I tore apart a piece of chicken, listening to the chatter of other tables.
I must've been on my eight piece of chicken when Lavender's mother finally speaks up again.
"Are you pregnant?" She blurts. She slaps a hand over her mouth, horrified at what she just said.
I stop chewing, Is this what this is about?
"No, but I am!" Ginny says, trying to draw the attention off me. I look at her, gratefully, but her attempt is futile.
"Hermione, it's okay to be honest-" Molly presses.
I huff. "Excuse me, but is this what this is about!"
Everybody once again falls silent. Narcissa and Molly look down at their laps guiltily.
"Oh," I retort. "I see."
I angrily stab at a potato, but I stab it so hard the plate shatters. I pay no mind to it. The plaster plate crumbles partly into dust, and small pieces fall to the ground and smash into a million pieces, much like my temper right now.
"And why would you think that?" I huff, shoving the potato in my mouth.
"Well you've been acting weirdly-" Theo mutters.
Pansy smacks him. The sound echoes through the hall, and everything momentarily freezes.
Nobody moves.
Just as quickly as it happened, everybody starts to chat and eat again.
I glare at everybody in turn. "Does anybody else have anything to say?"
Everybody remains quiet, so I push my chair back and stand up. "Good night," I snap.
I run out of the hall, for at least the hundredth time that month, I run and don't look back.

Ginny's POV:
"Nice going, idiot!" I snap at Lavender's mum.
"Ginny!" My mother gasps. "Apologize, right now!"
Lavender shakes her head. "I agree, mother what you said was rude."
Lavender's mum's face falls. "It was just a question I-I didn't think that it-"
"Well clearly, you weren't thinking at all!" Lucius growls.
I lean back into Harry, as do most of the women to their husbands, except Narcissa who continues to glare unblinkingly and Kelly Brown. (A/N: IDK if I already gave her a name, sorry! *A/N OVER!)
There was literal steam coming out of his ears, and he stood up threateningly. His eyes held deep emotion, it was pure, horrifying anger. "If you so much as peep another word to her, I will have your head mounted on my wall."
Professor MgGonagall rushes over, probably trying to figure out what's going on before anybody causes a scene. I'm not surprised, seeing an Ex-Death Eater threaten another was not a good scenario.
She cleared her throat just as Narcissa, Draco and Lucius leap up from their seats, at the exact. Same. Moment. How they did that, I will never know.
The three Malfoy's then rushed out of the Great Hall, drawing attention to my little group, well, my little group with parents, minus the Malfoy's.
I too stand up. "Well, I'll be looking for 'Mione!"
I rush out the Great Hall, ignoring people's stares and whispers.
"She's not, is she?" I hear Narcissa's extremely concerned, and also disappointed whisper.
"She's not, mother, now could we get back to looking for her?" An angry Draco snarls.
I walk into view and see Lucius muttering something under his breath, Draco rapidly looking around, and Narcissa casually leaning against a wall.
"Miss Weasley," Lucius greets. He turns to look at me, but his eyes look crazed, an angry kind of crazed.
I shrink back a bit in fear, and protectively place a hand over my stomach.
"Hi!" I squeak.
"Darling, there's no need to be afraid!" Narcissa pops up from her position on the wall and walks over to me. She gives me a hug that I would expect to be empty and cold, but it's warm, motherly, and full of emotion.
She lovingly looks at my stomach. "How are you, so far?"
I smile a bit, getting used to the fact that I was engaging in conversation with the Narcissa Malfoy.
"It's inspired me to write a love story!" I announce happily.
Draco shoots me a weird look. I stick my tongue out at him.
"Oh, that's lovely!" Narcissa comments. "About who?"
I huff. "Me and the toilet." I grumble.
She laughs and pats my back. "I understand you, darling, I understand."
"Can we just look for Hermione?" Draco snaps. I turn around, shocked by the fact that he seemed to genuinely care.
"Mhm," I clear my throat. "Well there are several places she may be. Lucius, check the library," I don't want an angry Lucius to be running rampant, so I'd send him somewhere calm. "Narcissa, check Moaning Myrtle's bathroom," I instruct her, thinking of all the times she ran off crying, just to disappear to that bathroom. "Draco check the common room." I finish.
"Where will you go?" Draco asks softly.
I lace my fingers and place them over my stomach. "Don't worry, just head to the common room. Rendez vous here in thirty?"
Everybody nods and without a second thought, I race towards the Black Lake.
The potion might have worn off, so she might've gone for a swim, bloody tail!
I burst through the grand entry doors and zip over to the Black Lake.
If she's not here...I bite my lip. I can't think like that! Stay positive!
I place a bubble head charm and slowly wad into the cool water.
At first, I don't see anything. I wad a bit deeper, knowing that I had to find her, and quickly.
Whizzzz. Frchshr.
I look to my right and I see the whizzing of a tail. The figure stops and floats in front of me.
"Gin!?" Hermione asks, a bit surprised that I had found her in mermaid form.
"Yee-up." I motion towards the surface and she nods.
While I pull myself out, she calmly sits a couple feet from the lake bank (or is it the shore?)
I splutter and wipe sand off my now completely soaked dress. It was black and velvet, but now it's black and dripping wet!
Hermione sits there calmly and starts to steam dry herself.
"So," She mumbles. "What happened after I left?"
"We scolded Kelly, the Malfoys ran into the hall, I talked to them then ran here." I recap for her.
She slowly nods. There's a soft 'pop' and there she is, sitting sideways in her dress, staring at me, tail-less. Her makeup and hair were still perfect, as always, and she looked completely unbothered.
No matter how many times I replayed the memory in my mind, I would never fail to be amazed by that. (It was actually really weird too, I had grown up with magic my whole life! With a lot of older brothers, a caring mother and a joking father, I was muttering incantations before I could even form a completely coherent sentence!)
"Well, I suppose we should get back." She suggests. She stands up, brushes off imaginary dust and straightens imaginary wrinkles on her dress. "Let's go," She offers me her hand and I gladly take it.
"We need to meet up with Les Malfoy's first," I inform her, remembering the whole 'rendez vous here in thirty' thing.
She looks at me quizzically but agrees. "Alright..."
As soon as we reach the double doored entry to the castle, the questions are bubbling at the tip of my tongue.
"'Mione..." I ask her. "If you don't mind me asking..."
She shakes her head. "I knew you would have questions, ask away."
I nod, feeling happy that she would open up to me, but I also didn't want to press the matter.
"Do you like Draco?" I ask, a tad timid.
She pushes her chin up a bit and slackens her jaw. "I think I could grow to love him, if that's what you're asking."
She fiddles with her bracelets and I beam.
"Ginny?" I hear Narcissa call. "Have you found Hermione?" We hear the steady 'click clack' of heels against stone, and Narcissa comes into view along with Lucius and Draco.
"Hermione!" Draco's eyes light up from the dark, boring glare to an emotion filled stormy grey set of orbs.
She smiles. "Hey."
Draco suns up to her and gives her a big hug, the kind of hug that Harry would give to me before I was pregnant ("We can't squish the baby"!).
She looks a little stunned, but hugs his back tenderly. "Hi, Draco," She laughs.
Narcissa too rushes over to hug Hermione. "Oh dear, we were so worried! When Ginny wasn't there Lucius blasted a bookcase!"
Hermione's eyes bugged out. "What?"
Lucius remained emotionless as he explained. "I 'bombarda'ed a bookcase."
I huff. "What did the books ever do to you?"
He turns his icy glare to me and I shrink back, feeling helpless. "They didn't find Miss Granger, did they?"
Narcissa lightly slaps her husband's shoulder. "They're books, for goodness sake!"
Lucius shrugs. "They weren't doing anything, besides, it's just books."
Hermione gasped. "Just books!"
Draco laughed. "Hermione, we probably own every book that's in there and more."
Hermione's jaw drops. "May I visit?"
Narcissa nods. "I'll arrange for a small fort to be made for you and Miss Weasley," She jokes.
I laugh. "That will probably be necessary."
"Hermione?" A voice calls.
Harry and Ron come into view, looking around rapidly and worriedly. When they see her, they let out a sigh of relief.
"Hermione!" Harry and Ron cry, running over to wrap their arms around their best friend. Draco gets pushed out of the way and he pouts.
"Ron! Harry!" She yips, hugging them both tightly.
I smile. The Golden Trio...One was my brother. One was my fiance and the father to my child. One was my best friend who had always been there for me, no matter what. I felt very lucky.
They all pulled away and smiled at each other. Harry and Ron went to go back to get the others.
"We'll be right back!" Harry promised before running away.
Draco butted his way in and pulled Hermione back. She looked up through her eye lashes and smiled at him.
Oh, they are so going to make an adorable couple!
"Hey," Draco muttered. "Want to go watch a movie in our bedroom with my parents?"
"What about Gin?" She asks. I dismissively wave a hand.
"I'll tell them." I assure her. "Go have some fun! Family bonding!" I joke.
She smiles at me. "What would I do without you?"
I smirk. "You would have no social life besides my brother and my fiance."
She huffs. "Oh gee, thanks."
I give her one last look before shooing her off. "Go, go!"
Just as Hermione, Draco, Lucius and Narcissa run out of view, the rest run in to view.
"What?" Ron asks dumbfounded. "Where'd they go!"
I smile as I take Harry's hand. "Somewhere...they went...somewhere."
