Chapter 15: Proposal Plans
Draco's POV:
After I had thrown Granger into the water, I ran.
I ran as fast as I could, believe me. She still managed to beat me to the bedroom. There she stood, sopping wet, looking like she wanted to kill me. I saw my mother come out of the kitchenette. I gulped.
"Hello...mother!?" I squeaked.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy!" She screamed shrilly. "WHAT did you DO!?"
I swallowed. "I....didn't...do...anything!?"
Hermione glared at me and flailed her arms around. "YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!?"
"You better apologize, right now! I'll give you another earful if you don't!" My mother hissed in my ear.
I spluttered. "Er..Granger, I'm sorry..for picking you up...and dropping you-in the-water!"
My mother gasped as Granger nodded. "Ok." Granger turned on her heel. "I'm going to take a shower, don't come in!" I heard a door slam shut and I slowly turned to my mother.
"Um....lovely...for you to...drop by?" She gave me one last glare before taking me by my ear and dragging me out through the portrait. "MOTHER!"

Hermione's POV:
I stepped out of the shower feeling very refreshed. I touched up my makeup before stepping into the lush bedroom that I shared with Draco Malfoy. I shuddered. I still wasn't quite used to the fact that I was technically engaged!
Draco walked in a second later. "Hello, Hermione."
I squinted at him. "Hermione now is it?!"
He blushed. "Well, I mean-no if you-well I-"
I laughed. "No, no...it's fine...Draco." I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up. "If, well, when we get married, we should be used to calling each other by our first names. Though doing our vows and using our surnames would be quite sentimental..." I trailed off. I was going to marry Draco Malfoy! He was always the school's most wanted bachelor, and I was going to marry him! Marry him...wedding...my parents...
I felt a tear escape from my eye. Not wanting him to see, I quickly turned around and grabbed the headphones I had gotten for my birthday. Since we already had muggle technology, the WiFi was magically enhanced. I've never had better WiFi ever!
I started to listen to the song "True Love" by P!nk. I frowned. Why was this song so bloody relatable!? I threw the headphones on the bed. I saw Draco looking confused but I still walked out of my room and into Harry's. I had to talk to Ginny.
Upon entering, I saw Harry in just his trousers. I let out a small yelp and screamed, "SORRY!" I closed my eyes and turned around. Harry laughed.
"Always the innocent dove, 'Mione." I heard the rustle of fabric then just a moment later, "I'm decent now 'Mione."
I turned towards him. He was wearing blue shorts and a white t-shirt. "Is Ginny here?"
He shook his head. "He went out with the other girls. Dunno why they didn't bring you." He sat on his bed and patted the spot next to him. "Let me guess, wizard problems?"
I nodded. "Malfoy."
He grinned. "Well...he's a wizard...I'm a wizard...I can help!"
I giggled and sat next to him. I lay my head on his shoulder and sighed. "I mean, I just...Draco's always been my bully, you know? I was with Ron and we were so happy together but now...he's happily with Lavender and I'm with Draco. Everybody in our group is happy but I don't know about me. Even though I'm not, I just feel lonely."
Harry studied me. "You don't need a boyfriend to not be lonely, 'Mione"
"Yeah I guess...but I just...I wish that I had that, you know?" I looked at my hands.
Harry nodded understandingly. He walked out of the room but came back holding my phone and speaker. He started playing "Perfect" and bowed. "May I have this dance?"
I giggled. I could remember the time Ron was wearing the Horcrux, Harry had danced with me for hours to cheer me up. Ever since then, he'd dance with me if I was feeling down. "You may, kind sir!" I grabbed his hand and twirled around with him.
"You're getting a bit rusty, 'Mione. Then again, you were never that good." Harry gave me a toothy grin.
I huffed. "Should I remind you that I danced and spent the night with Viktor Krum? He gave me information to contact him!" I purposefully stepped on his toe. "Oops!"
He laughed. "Gee thanks 'Mione, making me jealous! Viktor Krum! Swoon!" We burst out in a fit of giggles. Harry stopped the music and looked at me. "Alright, I need your help." He pulled out a small velvet box and opened it. Inside was a ring. It had a golden band and a small red diamond in the shape of a heart.
"Are you proposing to her!?" I squealed.
Harry ran his hand through his hair. "Yeah...but how?"
I thought for a second. "Well, we know Ginny loves romantic things, so plan a really nice picnic by the Black Lake with all her favorite things. After a couple of hours, suggest taking a short swim or something. While she's getting ready, get down on one knee. When she turns back to you then do your whole spiel."
He looked at me, wide-eyed. "I know this is a lot to ask but-"
"YES! I'LL DO IT!" I hugged him tightly.
"You'll do what?" A voice asked. We whipped around to see Ginny and Draco leaning on the frame of the door. I awkwardly untangled myself from Harry and jumped back.
"I'll...do his..potions essay!" I lied.
Draco cocked an eyebrow. "And you were hugging him...why?"
Harry cleared his throat. "I was thanking her..." He stepped back from me and beckoned Ginny over before kissing her cheek.
I walked out the door. "Meet me tonight at like...8 o'clock? I'll give you your 'essay' then!" Harry nodded and I ran down the stairs and into Blaise and Neville.
"Hey, 'Granger!" Blaise greeted me.
"Could you help us with something?" Neville asked.
"Sure...with what?" They pulled me over to a corner.
"We want to propose!" They whispered at the same time.
"Oh god! So many proposals!" I was flustered. "Harry's gonna too!" They shared a look.
"So...you can't help?" Neville looked pretty upset.
"Of course I can! Maybe you can go on a..triple date!" I ran back upstairs. "Can I ask Harry something, Gin?"
Ginny looked a bit suspicious but agreed. "Okay..."
"Thanks!" I pulled Harry out and beckoned Neville and Ron over. "I'll plan a triple date for all of your tonight at the Black Lake."
Blaise nodded. "When do we propose?"
Without missing a beat, I responded. "After a couple of hours, ask if they want to swim or something. While they get ready, pull out the rings. Make sure you're all in a very straight line but several feet apart so you can all propose at the same time without each other's speeches mucking together."
Harry nodded. "That would be really nice!"
"Great!" I made a mental list of all of Ginny, Astoria, and Luna's favourite foods. "Bye!" I started to run down to the kitchens.
I arrived at the portrait of fruit and tickled the pear. I stepped inside. "Winky?" I called. A small house elf wearing a pink dress appeared at my feet. "Winky!" I hugged the small elf.
"Miss Hermione! Oh, how I missed you!" Winky wrapped her small arms around me. "What can I do for you, Miss!?"
I smiled. "Could you get me some pumpkin pastilles, sandwiches, a couple of different drinks, steaks, salads, cakes, and some candy? Put it in three baskets please!"
The small elf nodded. "Of course, Miss Ganger!" I looked around the kitchens. This place held so many memories. In fact, almost every room, every corridor had memories with Ron in Harry.
Winky snapped me out of my daze by appearing with three large baskets. "Here you go, Miss!"
"Thank you so much, Winky!" I grabbed the baskets from her.
"Please come again soon, Miss! We all miss you!" Winky gave me one last hug. "Have fun, Miss!"
I giggled. "Of course I'll come back, Winky! Have a nice rest of your day!"

I walked over to the Black Lake with five bags that I had gotten from the owelry. The decorations I had ordered came in, yes! Two of the bags had the three baskets of food and plates, glasses, and utensils. The other three had decorations.
I laid a large plaid blanket down about 15 feet from the edge of the lake. Over the blanket, lay all the food on one side. There was a huge steak, several sandwiches, cakes and candy as well as drinks. One the other three sides, there were two plates, each side by side, one for each couple.
I started to hang fairy lights on the trees to give it a much more romantic feeling. I levitated small heart-shaped decorations and some balloons. Three balloons were heart-shaped. In the middle, one said 'HP+G'W, another said 'NL+LL', and the last said 'BZ+AG'.
Smiling at my work, I placed a charm on the small setting so that only the people on the date could change it. (That would be to clean it up...I hope...)
I took one last look before marching back up the hill and into the castle.
