50:

Hermione's POV:

I pin the last bit of my hair up and look at myself in the mirror.

"You're the most extraordinary girl, Hermione."

I stand up and spin around, looking at myself from every angle.

"You're not only beautiful, but-"

"HERMIONE!" Ginny bangs on the door, interrupting me from my thoughts. "Come on, everybody else is ready!"

I sigh again. Am I really ready to face Draco again?

After I had run off, he came to find me. We talked a bit, but eventually came to an agreement.

"I don't know where my emotions will take me, Draco Malfoy, but I do know that they are leading me...to you."

"Hermione Granger, you have no idea just how happy you made me."

"Don't break my heart."

"To break your heart would be breaking mine, I despise seeing you upset."

I wrench myself out of my memories and decide to put one last pin in my hair. "Coming, Gin!"

I open the door from the bathroom, and see everybody already in the tent, partying away!

The entire Weasley family was there, of course, except Fred. With a small pang, I remember that he was gone.

Turning away, I see Narcissa and Lucius talking with Xenophilius Lovegood.

Lavender's mum and dad spark up a conversation with Astoria and Blaise's parents, about what I'm not sure.

Pansy and Theo's parents remain together in a corner, talking with their children, who really look like they'd rather be anywhere else.

I walk over to the Malfoys, who all beam when they see me. (Except Lucius, he gives me an awkward pained smile, like he had no muscles in his upper lips to pull into a smile. It was a half grimace...honestly a bit terrifying.)

"Hermione!" Narcissa wrapped her arms around me, and I happily hug her back.

"Happy Christmas!" I exclaim, looking at each of them in turn.

Lucius sends a sly look at Draco, and he shifts uncomfortably. "Happy Christmas, Hermione."

Narcissa claps her hands happily. "Oh this is wonderful! You two will be happily married in the gardens of the Malfoy Manor!"

Lucius awkwardly intervenes. "Yes...happily I'm sure."

I think about saying something, but Molly calls out.

"Let's open the presents, shall we?" Molly beckons over to a large Christmas tree with piles and piles of presents under it.

To make sure everybody knew who's present was for who and which present came from who, there was a certain way it was organized. The colour or pattern of the wrapping paper indicated who the gift was from, and the colour and size of the bow and ribbons indicated who the gift was for.

My presents for others were wrapped in silver, and the bows I would be receiving would be gold.

We all sit under the tree, all almost a million of us. There were all the Weasleys, Malfoys, Browns, Longbottoms, Lovegoods, Greengrasses, Notts, Parkinsons, and Zabinis.

"Alright," I pull all the presents that I wrapped close to me. "To my best friend forever and always, Ginny!" I hand her the present I got her and she hands me a gift in return, grinning broadly.

"To my best friend forever and always!" She giggles.

"'MIONE!" Harry yells. I look up and see a present flying towards my face.

"AHH!" I catch the present at the last second, just before it's sharp corners can hit my face. "Hey!" I whine, rubbing my nose lightly.

"Sorry!" Harry laughs and Ron throws another present at me.

This time, it hits my face.

"Eep!" I fall backwards, clutching my face. "I thought today was Christmas, not Throw-Something-At-'Miones-Face Day!"

Ron and Harry howl as Molly and Narcissa look at them and tut rather disapprovingly at them.

Draco comes up next to me and sits down. I smile at him and hand him a gift.

"Happy Christmas, fiance," I jokingly joke. (It was a joke, but the fact that it was real made it not a joke. Dear god, I'm horrible at being funny sometimes.)

"Happy Christmas, Hermione," He replies, handing me a small gift.

"HEY HERMIONE!" Theo and Blaise sneer at each other before grinning evilly at me.

"Yes?" I ask them.

They each hold up a gift and move their arms in a way that suggested that they'd throw them.

I gasp. "Don't you dare!"
________________________________________________________________________________

After the giving and getting of gifts, I made a small list to remember this Christmas by.

Gifts I gave:

Ginny: Gold jewelry set
Harry: Viktor Krum's book
Ron: Mini food making kit
Lavender: Perfume set
Astoria: Some muggle DVD's (she had become fascinated with them)
Blaise: The Dude Game
Pansy: A lot of makeup
Luna: Make your own jewelry set
Neville: Herbology supplies
Theo: Cards against Humanity
Draco: A muggle iPhone
Molly: A cooking set
Arthur: Muggle items (Rubber ducks, electric pencil sharpener and pencils)
Narcissa: A locket with pictures of Draco and Lucius
Lucius: Wood carving set (I panicked, okay?)

Gifts I got:

Ginny: Lingerie set ("You'll need it for your wedding night!")
Harry: Quidditch robes ("With Draco, Blaise and Theo, you're going to be outnumbered in those who like to play Quidditch!")
Ron: Peacock quill set
Lavender: A candle set that looked like potion ingredients
Astoria: Vials and vial racks, potion ingredients ("For those days...which just so happen to be every day.")
Blaise: Custom made t-shirt "Equal Rights for Elves!"
Pansy: Polaroid camera
Luna: Spa set
Neville: Blanket sweatshirt
Theo: Polaroid films (like two thousand of them!) ("All magically enhanced to last forever!")
Draco: A very frustrating box that would not open or be destroyed and he won't tell me anything about it but I DON'T LIKE NOT KNOWING THINGS
Molly: Cook books (with the history behind each dish!)
Arthur: Mini backpack
Narcissa: (Plus baby pictures of Draco) ("Don't tell him!")
Lucius: A silver dagger

I sigh happily and sit down at the large table, watching as the scene before me unfolded. Bill, Percy and Fleur show Astoria and Pansy around the house while George talks with Theo and Blaise.

"Dinner is ready!" Molly calls from across the table. She shoots a small smile at me, and I smile back.

Ron comes stomping over happily, and slams his butt down onto a seat. Lavender not-so-discretely slaps him and he yelps, but fixes his behaviour.

When everybody is seated, Draco comes over and sits next to me. I notice Narcissa staring at us, and he must've too because he plants a small kiss on my cheek. I blush a bit.

Dang...this one is going to be all mine? I must be the luckiest girl in the world.

Molly motions to the vast feast spread across the large table. There was turkey, potatoes, green beans, gravy, steak, tomato soup, chicken wings, buttered pasta, biscuits, muffins, asparagus, corn bread, spaghetti, meatballs, chicken soup, broccoli, baguettes, mac n' cheese, hamburgers, lobster bisque, salads, salad dressing, home made chips and dip (such as guac and salsa). (Small [useless] A/N: I tried typing 'guac' and I spelled 'quac' instead.)

I happily bite into some buttered pasta and Draco leans into my ear to tell me something.

"The box will open when we're married," He whispers. "You'll like it...trust me..."

He leans away and smiles, but I can't help but wonder.

What could it be then?
