Heavy breaths, pounding heart, and a tormented mind. Something is wrong; something's different.

I've been stuck here for what seems like forever. Everything is dark, I can barely see my hands.

There's this... feeling of someone else. Someone who's not me. I hear muffled voices in the distance, the person is blocking those voices out.

I can feel they want to say something, but I don't want to hear it.

"Marinette~"

The voice breaks threw with a chilling tone.

They drew out my name in a childish way, but it sounds malicious. I don't trust her- it- me? I don't know anymore!

I'm- I'm panicking.

"Marinette~"

Stop.

"Marinette!"

Please stop!

I cover my ears, and hold my head. Hoping that the voice will go away.

"MARINETTE!"

I bolt up and look around the room, anxious. My heavy breathing starts to die down as I take in the familiar surroundings.

I tuck my hair behind my ear and try to calm down.

I'm safe, Master Fu is here, he can help. Wait- how did I get here?

"Marinette, you're awake. I was beginning to worry."

I rub my eyes, "Master Fu?"

He walks over with a cup of tea in his hands, and gives it to me.

"Thank you." I say, taking a sip. "It's delicious, but if you don't mind me asking, what happened?"

Master Fu gives me a reassuring smile. "Everyone is ok, and everything is back to normal." I breathe out a sigh of relief.

"I assume you want more detail?"

"Yes, please." I reply while taking another sip of tea.

"Hawkmoth was influenced by one of his own akumas, and it caused him to commit horrid crimes. Like the murder of your friend, Leela." He says, a look of sympathy spreads across his face.

"Is there anyway to reverse it? Miraculous LadyBug should return everything back to normal." I say.

He sadly shakes his head, "Those crimes weren't directly committed by him, so the unfortunate victims can't be brought back." I nod sadly, and look around once more.

"Hawkmoth had also akumatized Lila again, and the school was plagued by her illusions long before you were akumatized." He says.

I let that sink in, and a realization comes to me.

"You mean all of those months of suffering and being bullied, were all fake? She was making it happen? She..."

A fire of rage sparked in me for a second, and that voice came back.

"End her, make her suffer like you did~"

I breathe in and try to calm myself down. I distract myself with other questions.

"And my parents?" I ask.

"They think I'm tutoring you." He says.

"They believed that?" I ask in disbelief.

"Marinette, I'm 186 years old, I know how to lie properly."

He has a point.

"Where's everyone else? And Tikki? Adrien?" I question. "They're ok, they don't remember much other than they defeated an akuma victim, so your identity is safe." He paused to sit down, "Tikki is resting a bit. She's ok."

"Adrien forgot too?" I ask, puzzled. "No, I only had the others forget, I figured you two should really talk things out. He's actually been causing a bit of a ruckus making sure you're safe." I smile and, my heart strings tug a little bit.

"How long have I been unconscious?"

"For about 2 weeks."

"2 WEEKS? I need to take care of akumas! And crime, and I need to find Hawkmoth!" I exclaim, starting to get up.

"Marinette, calm down. Sit back down, please." He says in a comforting, but strict tone.

I sit back down, and try to calm my nerves. I pinch the bridge of my nose and squeeze my eyes shut to try and relax.

"We haven't seen Hawkmoth since you de-evilized yourself. I assume it's because no one has seen you either. Everyone is a little on edge right now, so he could be plotting to do something with all of this negative energy."

*sips tea*

"We have also gathered that he must still be akumatized. Well, since no one knows his whereabouts and there hasn't been a de-evilization on him."

I nod and get up.

"Where are you going, Marinette?"

"I appreciate all of your help, Master Fu, but I can't sit here and wait for something to happen. There's still many things that need to be resolved, and I don't intend to wait around and let things simmer. I know I'm going to need help with this upcoming battle, so I need to train with my team and build the trust to do so. I'll take my leave, thank you, and until next time, Master." I say, walking to grab my things. I see Tikki resting on a pillow and carefully pick her up and put her in a safe place before walking out of the door.

"Good luck, Ladybug." I hear Master Fu say as the door closes.

I walk downstairs and open the door, taking in the fresh air. The sun's rays have never felt so nice against my skin. The sky was so blue, I never wanted to be trapped in that dark place again.

I close my eyes to embrace the sounds of the city, when I hear a light snoring above me.

I step out onto the sidewalk to see Chat, he was asleep on top of the building. His hair was more ruffled than usual, his eyes were tired, and sad.

A light sadness washed over me, and I reached out to the end of his tall. I lightly pulled on it, to get his attention.

He snaps up and gets into a half fighting stance. He snaps his head back and forth, and I clear my throat. He looks down and he seems shocked.

"Hey, Chat." I say with a smile. He seems stuck until he drops his staff and jumps down to me, giving me a hug.

"Marinette...I-I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry!" He says, almost out of breath. I hug him back, and stroke his hair. "I'm ok Chat, let's talk about this at home, ok?" I gesture towards my house, and he nods.

We walk to my house, and he uses his staff to get us up on the roof when we get there.

"Mari I-" I cut him off and pull him into my bed. "Detransform, Adrien." He does and Plagg gives a little wave before he and Tikki fly off to give us some space.

"Marinette, I'm so sorry, for everything. I- I never wanted to hurt you, I love you so much and-" "I know, I love you too. We can talk about this tomorrow." I say, snuggling up to him. "But-" "No buts, you need sleep, and I've missed you, just rest with me." I say, running my hand threw his hair.

"Ok, princess"

We snuggle under the blankets, and drift off to sleep.
