Prateek's Pov

Another week passed still I couldn't come out from that pain.Swathi is behaving totally strange,She is hiding things from me,I saw here stealing a file from our manager's cabin.She didn't bother to say a single word with me about it.She is just throwing us in risk because of her insanity.I supressed my anger just to keep up our relationship healthy but it becoming hard for me to forgive her,her deceitful actions.

Krithik came to my cabin and sat infront of me.I just ignored his glare and working with my laptop.He is so stringent and truly knows how to gets on my nerves.He is purposefully passing some silly comments on me.

I didn't heed them.

"Stop acting like a stupid yar!"Krithik just smiled at me pleading with his eyes.This time he just won my heart.

"Whats your problem Krithik?"I closed my laptop and looked at him with a pair of questioning eyes,trying my best to pretend anger.

"I am sorry"He smiled sadly yet he could maintain the spark in his eyes,they are just startling.

"I am not angry with you Krithik"I just tried my best to smile back,I hope I am somewhat succeeded.

"Really?"He smiled happily and this time I couldn't stop my grin.

"Yes!"I nodded and tilted my head to steal a glance at Swathi's cabin.I could see Swathi working on her laptop a bit seriously.I sighed and looked back at Krithik.

"Is everything okay with you both?"I mumbled scribbling something on my file.Hope they sorted out everything.

"What?!"He fumbled and smiled shyly at the very next second.He is blushing!I just looked at his eyes they are so bright.

"Yes!I just apologized her for my half wit and by God's grace she accepted me heartily"He chuckled.

"Great!Happy to hear it from you but still it's hard for me to believe that you just absconded like that with out a word."I shook my head and frowned.Still I am very much angry with him for doing such.

"I cut your call ruthlessly I didn't find peace there after,Several thoughts popped into my mind,they are really frightening,What just mattered the most is Avni's safety.so?!"He sighed and looked at me with apologetic face.

"Avni was very much shattered and was not at all willing to contact either you or Swathi.I still don't know how would Swathi react to this situation?"I shrugged my shoulders in uncertainty.

"Don't you know?Swathi met Avni last night,both the friends got succeded in patching up their friendship.I am happy for them.I am really surprised that Swathi didn't tell you about this"Krithik said a bit hesitantly.He looks totally shocked by my confession which rose my anger to peaks.I just looked at Swathi's cabin with cold eyes.

What is happening to her?I didn't say a word but it never mean that she can do anything.I am not a fool to compel her to ask me permission for a every single decision of her but atleast she has the responsibility of letting me know the things.

I closed my eyes for a second and said sighing a bit"May be she is busy?"

"May be she is"Krithik is giving his best convincing look just to make me believe my very lame cause.

"Ha ha"I laughed hopelessly curling my lips.

I can't speak anything more.I tilted my head and looked at Swathi who is really busy with her work on laptop.I can truly demand an explanation for her strange behaviour but something is stopping,May be my love towards her is still unwilling to question her loyalty.I can see my eyes became so wet.

"I need to go"Krithik stood up and waiting for my answer.

"See you tomorrow"I smiled at him,Avni and Krithik has finally settled their differences.I felt happy for him truly as a friend.

"Sure"He winked and left my cabin.

"Swathi,Come to my cabin"I called her on intercom.

"Coming,Sir"She said a bit nervously.

I am waiting for her in my cabin a bit impatiently.I can't take it anymore I need to ask her about the thing clearly.I just made my mind.

"May I come in Sir,"She just asked me pushing the door a bit inside holding it with her right hand firmly,almost leaning on it.

"Yes,Come in Swathi"I smirked at her with sarcasm.I am helpless,I want show her who I am?!

She came and stood infront of me,I didn't bother to ask her to sit.I didn't speak for a while she stood there like a rock devoid of any emotions,She looks so lifeless I felt gloomy all of a sudden yet my ego is not at all willing to listen my heart.

"Well,You know we are about to make a deal with Singhania's right?!"I raised my eyebrow,looking at her with a smirk dancing on my lip.

"Yes sir,"She nodded and pursed her lips.

"I want you to prepare the quotation for it by tonight"I almost ordered her.I never did it to her still now but this time I am   helpless.

"But we have ample time to prepare the quote sir,Why to hurry....."She didn't finish her sentence as my eyes.I lifted my head and fixated my gaze on her.

"What do you mean by that Swathi?Ample time means?"I crouched my thick black brows and looked smirking at her.

"Okay sir,I will be prepare it by evening"She nodded and gave a wan smile.

"That's so sweet of you"I mocked a smile at her.

"Thank you sir"I can see tears pooled up in her eyes.I cursed my mouth for talking so rudely with her.

Swathi took two to three steps ahead and whirled around suddenly.

She came and stood in front of me.

"If you are angry with me it's better to slap me on face Prateek but please don't ignore me.It hurts me a lot.I know you are angry with me for hiding things .I know you are really upset with my behaviour but believe me I didn't do anything wrong.And about last night I have called you twice,thrice and even dropped a message in Watsapp before my meeting with Avni.You didn't pick my call"She said in between sobs.

"What?"I stammered.

"Yes!"She nodded.

I can't believe what just she said,Did she call me?I picked my phone and checked it and felt ashamed to see her calls.I was in a meeting last night and ignored her calls.How could I forget calling her back?!I closed my eyes sighed deeply for second trying hard to bring my senses back.

I was truly hurt by the series of incidents happened in these five days or week.Rohith uncle questioning me,my character.Swathi hiding things from me,stealing files purposefully.Krithik absconding without heeding my words.Avni getting kidnapped every thing just tested my patience.

Swathi just hurt me with her words still they are the truth.I know I behaved a bit foolishly yet I am not fully convinced by her explanation.But Happy that Avni patched up with Krithik and Swathi has forgiven her,her words.

I looked around and checked my watch its 7-30 in the evening.My heart clenched as I saw my Swathi still working for Singhania's project.I want to stop her but sadly I couldn't.

I am watching her every move,She is so reluctant to avert her gaze from laptop.I know she is checking me,my movements from the corner of her eyes yet she doesn't want to express her concern directly to me.

"Is it finished?"I walked towards her cabin trying to smile a bit.

"Almost"She turned around and smiled at me nervously.

"I am sorry,I was not in a good mood,I ...."I sighed and looked at her pursing my lips and lowering my head a bit.

"It's okay Prateek"She gave a wan smile and continued her work.

"Stop it,Please"I dragged her laptop quickly and smirked at her.

"Please,Prateek give it to me,I need to finish it,It's almost over,A work of few minutes"She slumped her shoulders and kept a sulky face.

"No way,let us go home.I was a fool and completely ran out of sanity,I was angry with you for hiding things from me,How lame?,I thought you purposefully hide your meeing with Avni,I was truly sad that you didn't gave me a single chance to let me explain my situation.I was thriving to tell you the truth when your dad accused me.He called me characterless.I don't know why I was so stringent,nervous"I sighed and looked at her helplessly.

"I don't know why but I believe you more than myself hence I didn't ask you anything about that girl,If I questions your loyalty,fidelity It makes me feel like questioning my own trust and affection on you"She spoke very politely lowering her head a bit and fixing her gaze on her lap.

"I am sorry Swathi"Thats what I could manage to say and sat before her dragging a chair.

"Please Prateek,Just leave it"She shook her head and stared at the wall blankly.

"Let us go home,We are the only two people left in the office"I stared at the wall clock hanging to the wall and it's 8'0 clock in the evening.

"Please give me my laptop for few minutes,I will come with you after finishing my work"She pouted and looked at me biting her nails.

"Okay!"I gave it back to her,I know it's impossible for me to stop her so it's better for me to stay with her till she finishes her work.

I sat there staring at her all the time and she truly engrossed herself in work completely forgetting about her surroundings.

"Oh my!"She sighed leaning a bit back on her chair.She looked so cute but sadly she looked very tired.

"What?"I am worried at her expression,Is she okay?I caught her wrist.

"I finished it somehow"She smiled happily.

Guilt occupied my heart,Can't I see she is working for me,my family how could I suspect her loyalty,I thought she stole a file and behaved so harshly.Silly me?!I cursed my half wit.

Now I confirmed that there must be a reason for her act.I need to learn about it through some way or other.As I am busy with my works these days I want to hire a private detective to reveal this mystery.

"Prateek"She called my name so sweetly like nectar dragging me out from my thoughts.

"Ah!"I looked at her trying to smile.

"Shall we go"She smiled at me happily which melted my heart.

"Sure"I caught her hand we walked towards my car.

I took her to one of the famous restaurants in the city.I booked a private table for us.Its really a beautiful feeling to dine under moonlight all alone far away from everyone.I want to live this moment forgetting my past,my future.What's so precious is this moment,this second.

I ordered her favourite food.I surprised her by feeding morsels of food,She resisted me at first later she just ate calmly looking into my eyes blushing all the time.

"I love you Swathi"I confessed my feeling looking into her eyes.

"I love you soo much Prateek,I love you more than myself,more than anyone ,anything in this whole world"She said wiping a lone tear escaped from her eye.

"I am soo lucky to have you in my life,You know my life used to be so normal before I met you.Its hard for me to remind those days,I never have had so many good memories from my past but from these past six months I grabbed lots and lots of memories,Its just because of you but....."She sighed and stopped for a second.

"Hey....Are you okay?"I cupped her face and asked her looking into my eyes.

"It hurts me a lot when you ignore me purposefully,I utterly hate that feeling,My heart thrives for you love,for your concern,It's difficult for me to face your anger.I know I am a human I do commit mistakes but I just hate this feeling,I just hate myself for doing so"She hugged me so firmly.

"I love you and I promise that I won't let you think as such in your lifetime"I smiled and caresed her hair.

"And I am worried about dad"She lifted her head and said looking at me with a pale face.

"Don't worry,I will take care of him"I assured her
