Chapter 4
Adrien sat on his bed. It had been a few days since Ladybug has last visited him.
He was still somewhat ignoring Marinette at school, only talking to her when school required it. He still had to heal and he had a feeling it would take a long time.
He was used to feeling lonely, but Marinette's rejection made it worse. He longed for affection and for the touch of another person. Both in a sexual and non-sexual way.
Adrien had pent up frustration and he felt a little guilty when Ladybug crossed his mind. Her last two visits actually made him feel better. He enjoyed her slight affection more than he should.
Did she like him? Adrien shook his head. No, there was no way Ladybug would like him. They didn't even know each other. Well, Ladybug didn't know Adrien, she only knew Chat.
Then he remembered Ladybug saying Chat hurt her unintentionally. Did that mean she liked him, as in, Chat? Adrien shook his head again. No, they were just playful. Perhaps he said a joke that made her upset.
He sighed as he nervously scrolled aimlessly through his phone. Adrien didn't want to admit it, but he was waiting for Ladybug. He really wanted her to show up.
He wanted her to show up so he could hold her and feel that human connection. Once more, he felt guilty. In a way, he was just using her as a replacement for Marinette.
He was about to give up and go to bed when he heard a soft knock. He quickly looked up and saw Ladybug standing there sheepishly.
The moonlight gave her a soft glow and made her pale skin and bright blue eyes stand out against the darkness of her suit. Adrien swallowed before standing up and walking over to this window and letting her in.
This time he didn't step back. Ladybug stayed glued to the window. If she moved, she'd be chest to chest with Adrien.
Adrien wanted that, that's why he hadn't moved away. Ladybug looked away, a blush forming on her cheeks.
"H-hi," she breathed out quietly.
"Hey..."
They both stood there awkwardly, neither not knowing what to say. Feeling like he might be making her uncomfortable, Adrien took a few steps back, allowing her to move from the window.
"I-I hope I d-didn't wake you u-up," she said softly.
"You didn't, I was up."
She turned to look up at him, "You were?" Why would he be up so late? Was he waiting for her?
Adrien nodded. "Why are you out so late?"
"Just patrolling," she responded.
Adrien hummed in response. They both continued to stand there awkwardly, not knowing what to do.
Once more, Ladybug broke the silence first. "Are you feeling better?" she asked.
Adrien shrugged, "A little, it still hurts to see her every day at school. At least she sits behind me and not in front of me."
Adrien's green eyes locked with her blue eyes. "Do you want to sit?" he asked, motioning to his couch.
"S-sure," she stuttered out. They both walked to the couch and sat on opposite sides. Adrien made sure to sit far enough to not make her uncomfortable. This was her third time visiting him and he wasn't sure if she'd continue. He sure as hell wanted her to and he didn't want to ruin it by making her uncomfortable.
Ladybug placed her hands on her lap, her face flushed. Adrien looked over at her but she stared at her lap.
"Can I get a hug?" he asked. Ladybug looked up at him, surprised. A hug?
She took in a deep breath and nodded, "S-sure." She scooted over to him and shyly wrapped her arms around him. Adrien tensed a little before wrapping his arms around her.
They stayed like that for a few minutes before Ladybug said she had to go. Adrien reluctantly let go of her and she stood up.
She uttered a quiet goodbye and quickly walked to the window and left.
.
Ladybug's visitations became common, much to Adrien's joy. They wouldn't do much. It was always the same too, she'd ask how he was feeling and then they'd cuddle a little on his couch. But damn did Adrien love the affection and her touch.
It had been happening for a few weeks now. Adrien still had a hard time talking to Marinette but now he did say hi and bye to her and would do some small talk.
She'd always get nervous when he talked to her. He found it odd but he assumed it was because she was still upset over the status of their friendship. She probably questioned if they were still friends.
He wasn't sure if they were.
School ended and Adrien was on his way back home. He had just arrived at his house when he heard a loud explosion. He immediately called out Plagg and transformed.
He jumped out of his window and made his way over to the commotion. Along the way, he heard a few more explosions. Ladybug was already there on top of a rooftop and he made his way over to her. He had seen her a couple of times in the past few weeks, but things had been relatively slow so their conversations were short "all clear" ones. He purposefully kept it that way as Chat Noir because he wanted her attention as Adrien.
Ladybug turned to look at him, a small blush forming under her mask. "Ch-Chat, good, you're here," she spoke.
"Where's the akuma?" he asked. Ladybug pointed down below to the street, "Somewhere down there in that smoke. It seems like they're throwing colored smoke."
Chat looked down and he saw various clouds of colored smoke. It actually looked quite nice.
Chat gave a single nod, "Alright, let's get this over with."
Both heroes jumped into the cloud of smoke. They smoke was thick but they could make out a moving silhouette.
The battle took a little longer than usual, but that was because of all the smoke. The akuma kept throwing smoke bombs, making it hard for the heroes to see. But even so, they managed and won in the end.
Ladybug uttering her final words, fixing the mess the akuma caused. She turned to her partner and they did their usual "pound it!"
Chat looked at her a bit nervously before saying goodbye and leaving quickly. Ladybug already knew why. He wanted her to see him. To see Adrien.
She was planning on going, she just had to let Tikki recharge.
Marinette could already hear the kwami scolding Marinette for letting whatever she had with Adrien last so long. But Marinette couldn't help herself. She really enjoyed seeing him.
.
Adrien patiently sat on his couch, waiting for her to show up. He knew she had left to recharge her kwami before going to see him.
Plagg had warned him to stop whatever was going on but Adrien couldn't. He knew it was wrong. It wasn't right for him to string Ladybug along like that. But he did it anyway. He wanted the warmth she brought.
Adrien heard her usual soft knock and walked over, letting her in.
Without really saying anything, they walked to his couch and assumed their normal cuddle sessions.
Only this time, Adrien had more in mind.
His loneliness was really getting to him and he was desperate for more from Ladybug.
Ladybug snuggled up close to him and Adrien let his arms drop down to her waist. Ladybug tensed up a little before relaxing.
Adrien could already hear Plagg hissing at him. He turned to look down at her and with his free hand, reached for her face and carefully lifted her face. Her bright blue eyes met his and he could see the faint blush beginning to form underneath her mask.
"A-Adrien?" she stuttered out.
Adrien carefully stroked her freckled cheek with his thumb and his eyes fell to her lips. She had a red-tinted lipgloss that made her lips look so plump and kissable.
Ladybug gasped as she felt Adrien's lips on hers.
He cupped her face and tilted his head to deepen the kiss. Ladybug could feel her entire body heat up. She didn't kiss back, she was too surprised.
Adrien's hands moved to her hips as he lifted her up and placed her on his lap. This caused her to tense up. Ladybug immediately pulled away from the kiss, but Adrien's hands held her firm on his lap.
"Wh-whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! A-Adrien did you- y-you. Wh-what? Wh-why?" Ladybug placed her hands on her red cheeks, looking around frantically at anything but him "I-I..."
Adrien kissed her.
Adrien kissed her!
ADRIEN KISSED HER!
And it felt so good.
No! Bad Marinette!
Adrien didn't say anything, instead, he reached for her face. Ladybug could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Was this really happening? She didn't know how to feel about it.
Once again, she felt his lips on hers and this time she couldn't help but melt into the kiss. Adrien's hands dropped back down to her hips and Ladybug's hands went up to cup his face.
Adrien didn't know what the hell he was thinking. Was he even thinking? Well, maybe with his dick he was.
It felt so wrong but so good.
Marinette could hear Tikki scolding her and telling her to stop, but she just couldn't. The kiss surprised her, she wasn't expecting it, but she was enjoying it. She felt so lonely. With Nino and Alya dating, Marinette didn't spend as much time with them as she didn't want to be the third wheel. Originally it was perfectly fine with the group of four going: Alya, Nino, Adrien, and Marinette. However, with Adrien still being distant from Marinette, she felt as if she had no one.
There was Tikki, Marinette can't deny how close they are, but it's just not the same.
But her visits with Adrien, she felt that comfort. She could get close to him and hug him and help him feel better (albeit as someone else to his knowledge but still). And if it took some kisses to make him feel better, she would happily comply.
Adrien felt guilty kissing her. He knew he was using her, but he just couldn't hold it in anymore. He was desperate for love and affection and Ladybug wasn't retaliating.
~~~~~~~~~~
I hope I've made it clear why they're acting the way they are. Adrien has been lonely and was really hoping Marinette could change that but nope, she rejected him. Marinette has felt shunned and is desperate for Adrien's/Chat Noir's attention again, even if it means deceiving Adrien.
Neither of them is meant to be in the right.
