Marinette sat on her bed, crying her heart out. She fucked up, real bad. What did Adrien think of her now? That she was easy? 

Was he right, though? What if he wasn't Chat Noir? No, he wasn't right. Surely she would've fallen for Adrien had Chat Noir not been in the picture.

If Luka had been Chat Noir, he'd be different. He wouldn't be the same silly kitty she fell in love with, but Adrien doesn't seem to see that. 

"Just give it more time, Marinette. He'll listen eventually," her kwami comforted her, passing her a tissue. 

Marinette grabbed it and used it to wipe her face. "I d-doubt it," she hiccuped. "He doesn't want to talk to me."

"He's upset, today wasn't a good idea. Perhaps I was wrong in pushing you to talk to him. Chat Noir is still a responsible person, I doubt he'll let his emotions get in the way of an akuma fight."

Tikki's statement was about to be put to the test as Marinette heard a commotion outside. She got up and rushed to her window, opening it and peaking out. 

People were either running away from someone chasing them. Those that were caught were being smothered almost... lovingly?

From the corner of her eye, she saw a woman dressed flying over the city. She wore a white suit, and large angel wings adorned her back. Her hair was wrapped in a neat bun, not a single hair out of place. Marinette didn't think she looked like a threat until she noticed the large golden bow in her hands and the equally large arrows hanging on her back in a black case. 

She quickly closed her window and transformed in her room, out of sight. She waited until the coast was clear before coming out and swinging to a different rooftop. She spotted the akuma and followed her. 

Ladybug narrowed her eyes, trying to find the akumatized object. The most obvious answer seemed to be the bow. She hid behind a chimney when the akuma stopped at a location. 

Ladybug heard a thump behind her. She already knew who it was, and she felt her heart sink and sadness wash over her. Before either of them could say anything, the akuma snapped her head in their direction. 

"Ladybug and Chat Noir, give me your miraculouses!" she yelled, grabbing an arrow and taking aim. 

Both heroes jumped out of the way, narrowly missing the arrow. They ran across the rooftops, the akuma, named Kiupita, following behind. 

She continuously shot arrows at them, scrapping Ladybug in the shoulder but not penetrating her skin. 

She felt her vision turn fuzzy and almost pink. She was able to shake away the effects and return to normal. 

"Running away isn't the best option," Chat turned to her.

"What do you mean?" Ladybug asked, confused.

"She's an archer, archers are used to targets being far away and in one spot. We need to run towards her! It'll throw her off."

Before Ladybug could think about it, Chat Noir stopped and turned around. He began to run towards her. 

Kiupita stopped, thrown off as Chat had predicted. What Chat forgot to account for, however, was that she could fly up. 

She narrowed her eyes at him, flying up high and taking aim. Ladybug ran towards them, grabbing her yoyo and throwing it at Kiupita, wrapping it around her leg. 

Ladybug pulled down, dragging Kiupita down. Kiupita pulled back, trying to resist.

"You stupid bug!" she yelled out in annoyance. She grabbed an arrow from her case, aiming at Ladybug.

Chat took hold of the string, pulling on it as well. The strength from both of them pulled Kiupita down to the roof.

The force caused her to yell out and drop her bow. Chat ran for the bow as Ladybug tried to stop Kiupita by pulling on her leg. Chat managed to get close to it, but Kiupita managed to wrangle free from Ladybug's yoyo, using her wings for strength. Ladybug's yoyo fell loose, and she was pushed back by the gust of wind produced by Kiupita's wings. 

She snatched the bow right before Chat did. Ladybug got up, throwing her yoyo and this time catching the bow. 

Being caught off guard, it slipped out of Kiupita's hands.

Ladybug smirked, grabbing the bow and breaking it on her knee.

"No more evil- wait, what?" her eyes widened as no akuma came out. 

"My bow! You'll pay for that!"

Chat and Ladybug stared at her dumbfounded. Kiupita used this time to grab an arrow and run towards Ladybug. 

She tried stabbing Ladybug. Ladybug dodged as Chat made him his way over to help. Before he could stop her, Kiupita managed to hit Ladybug in the shoulder. 

Ladybug felt her vision turn fizzy again, and everything turned pink. Kiupita smirked as Ladybug turned to look at Chat with this lovey-dovey look. It made his stomach churn. 

But at the same time, he recognized that look.

Ladybug didn't remember anything after being stabbed with the arrow. She regained consciousness in time to see the akuma fly out of the black case holding the arrows. 

She reached for her yoyo and trapped the akuma, purifying it. She turned to look as Chat helped the akumatized girl down to the ground and climbing back up.

Ladybug held out her fist, "Pound it?"

Chat turned to look at her with an uncomfortable look. She put her hand down and frowned. 

"Are you ok? D-did I do something while under her control?" she asked, worry falling over her. 

He shook his head, "No."

He paused before his ears drooped. "I'm sorry, Marinette."

It caught her off-guard that he used her real name. 

"I haven't been treating you well. I was just really upset, and I still kind of am. Just give me some more time, ok? I promise I don't hate you."

Her mouth opened and closed. She wasn't expecting that, and she didn't know how to react. 

"O-ok," she managed to stutter out. 

"I'll see you around," he said before leaving. 

He detransformed as soon as he got home. Plagg flew out, ready to make a snide remark until he saw Adrien's face.

"Now what?" Plagg asked. 

Adrien turned to look at him, "What?"

"You're making that sad face, the hell are you sad about now?"

Adrien looked away, and his face dropped. "About how wrong I was in treating Marinette," he mumbled.

"You're just now realizing?" Plagg rolled his eyes. 

"It was the look she gave me, ok? Kiupita clearly means Cupid. Marinette got hit with an arrow."

"And?"

"She looked at me with this look of pure love, a look I've seen before. It was how she looked at me when I asked her out," he continued. 

Plagg looked at his chosen in disgust, "I can't stand you, humans, I'm going to get some cheese."

Adrien sighed.

I like to reuse akumas from previous stories if I like them. I don't remember where I got the name Kiupita from, but according to google, it has a Polynesian origin.
