Chapter 15
Marinette felt much more relaxed knowing she wasn't pregnant. She did end up booking an appointment with her gynecologist and had her questions answered.
Her late period was due to stress, so she didn't have to worry about it.
As for sex, her gynecologist told her she was still protected as long as she took her pills. Condoms weren't necessary, but if it made her feel safer, she could use them.
Marinette wasn't sure whether to use them or not. She had only had sex with him once. Maybe they could try again that weekend. Her period was over, meaning they could have sex.
She felt a shiver run down her spine thinking about having sex with Adrien again. She felt the blood rush up to her cheeks and she quickly shook the thoughts away.
"You ok?" Alya asked Marinette as she sat down.
Marinette nodded, "Y-yeah, I'm fine."
It was Friday, meaning she'd get to see Adrien the following day.
"I'm glad we're halfway through the stupid project. I hate how long it is," Alya sighed.
"Yeah, just a few more meetings and we'll be done, though!" Marinette smiled.
Nino leaned back in his chair, "Man, I hope so. I'm sick of this project. How long have we been working on this?"
"Way too long," Alya muttered.
Adrien stepped into the room, giving his friends a warm smile before sitting down.
"What are you guys talking about?" he asked.
"The stupid project," Alya responded.
"Can't wait to get it over with, man," Nino shook his head.
Adrien chuckled, "Don't worry guys, we'll get there soon."
"We heading out to lunch today?" Nino asked, wanting to change the subject.
"You guys can come over to my place," Marinette spoke. "My mom always makes too much food. She'll be glad to have you guys over."
"Hell yeah! I love your mom's cooking!" Alya grinned.
"Hell yeah, dudette!"
"Sure, I'm fine with that," Adrien smiled.
Marinette nodded, "Ok, it's settled. I'll send her a quick text telling her, anyway."
She took out her phone and was able to type out a text just in time before Ms. Bustier started the class.
Once lunchtime rolled around, the group of friends walked across the street to Marinette's place.
Marinette opened the bakery door and stepped in, her friends following behind.
Sabine smiled from behind the counter, "I'm so glad you kids could come! Head on up, the food is ready. Tom and I are too busy to join right now."
"Ok, mama," Marinette spoke, passing by her mom and walking up the stairs.
Nino, Alya, and Adrien said a thank you as they walked by her.
"Your parents are always so busy," Alya spoke.
"Yeah, but we still get to spend a lot of time together," Marinette replied.
As Marinette opened the door to the main part of the apartment, Nino pushed past her.
"Man, I'm starving," he said, putting his backpack down and heading for the food.
Marinette blinked then laughed. Adrien followed suit, and Alya just rolled her eyes with a smile.
The friends sat down to eat on the island table. Nino and Alya on one side, and Marinette and Adrien on the other.
"Ok, I have some theories for the Ladyblog," Alya chirped up during their meal.
"What is it?" Marinette asked, taking a spoonful of her food.
"I think Chat Noir and Ladybug are dating!"
Marinette nearly choked on her food and started coughing. Adrien dropped his fork, his eyes wide at Alya's words. He quickly tried to cover it up by patting Marinette on the back.
Adrien handed her her cup of water, and she took it with shaky hands.
"Are you ok?" he asked, worried.
Marinette nodded, taking a sip of her water.
"I knew you were a Chat Noir fan, but I didn't think it'd have this effect on you!" Alya spoke.
Adrien now stared at Marinette with a shocked look. Marinette? A Chat Noir fan? That didn't seem like her.
"Wh-what makes you think that?" Marinette asked.
"Have you seen the way they've held each other?!" she squealed happily. "It's clear that Ladybug's had a thing for Chat Noir for a long time now, but recently, Chat Noir has been holding her!"
Adrien felt himself blush. Damn, I really need to hold back more. Wait, Ladybug had a thing for Chat Noir, and if Alya is suspecting they're dating, does that mean Ladybug thinks Chat Noir is flirting with her? Adrien thought.
Now he began to feel guilt set in. Ladybug seemed fine around Adrien, so maybe he wasn't playing with her feelings. Maybe he'd have to ask her.
"Are you sure they're a thing?" Adrien asked.
Marinette turned to look at him, a soft blush on her cheeks.
Alya nodded eagerly, "Why else would he be holding her?!"
"Maybe it's just a friendly gesture? I don't think it's a good idea to jump to any conclusions just yet," Adrien replied. "I mean, have you seen them hold hands or kiss?"
Alya shook her head, "No, I haven't... but still! I have hope they'll become a thing!"
"Maybe don't post it on the blog yet?" Nino suggested. "You're doing really good, it's best not to post something that could be wrong."
Alya pouted but eventually agreed.
Marinette and Adrien both sighed in relief.
.
"Just a few more weeks, just... a few... more... weeks," Nino mumbled.
Alya giggled, turning to look at her boyfriend who was frowning at his laptop.
"I told you, Nino. We'll be done soon, patience!" Marinette spoke.
"Can't we finish this any sooner?" Nino huffed in annoyance.
Adrien shrugged, "Probably, but we'd have to do twice the work."
Nino groaned, "I hate this."
"Let's take a break, we've been working non-stop for what, two hours?" Alya said, closing her laptop.
"A break? Babe, are you crazy? I'm trying to finish this!" Nino glared at her.
Alya rolled her eyes, "Nino, you'll crash if you work like that. Take a ten-minute break at least!"
"She's right. Working with no breaks is a sure way to make you crash, and it's not a fun experience," Adrien agreed, closing his laptop.
"Let him work if he wants to, if he crashes, that's his problem," Marinette placed her laptop to her side, closing it.
Nino mumbled under his breath and closed his laptop. The group chuckled.
"I personally need a break, this project is hurting my brain," Marinette sighed, standing up.
"I think my brain cells have actively chosen to go through apoptosis," Adrien mumbled, slouching in his chair.
"Dude, we're taking a break, stop using fancy school terms. Just say your cells are actively choosing death."
"That's what he's saying, though?" Alya raised a brow.
"Yeah, but why choose a fancy term?" Nino asked.
Alya shook her head with a chuckle.
Marinette decided to ignore her friends and walked into the bathroom. She closed the door and walked over to the sink.
"I look gross," Marinette sighed, looking in the mirror. She didn't wear any makeup on their Saturday meetings because they started early, and she barely managed to wake up on time.
She turned on the faucet and splashed some water on her face. After drying her face, she was about to head out when something caught her eye.
Somewhat hidden behind a towel on the large sink was a box of condoms.
Marinette felt her cheeks redden. He actually went through with it and bought condoms.
She took a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself before stepping out.
Now she was very excited to see him that night.
