At Walmart one day, two men bought what they thought were ordinary Crocs. These Crocs were colored green but were very expensive ($500) and limited edition. Frank and Sean didn’t have the money to buy the limited edition Crocs so Sean said,  “Since we can’t afford these Crocs, why don’t we just steal them?”
    “No, that is illegal,” Frank replied. ”And besides, how will we even get away with it? They check for that stuff at the front of the store,” Frank said.
    “Let’s just buy other things and sneak the Crocs out so we won’t look suspicious,” Sean said. After they argued with each other for a few minutes they decided to sneak the Crocs out of Walmart by buying other things with them and then hiding them under their shirts and jackets. What they decided on buying was beans and milk because they were inexpensive and not very suspicious. They ended up paying $7 for both of those items and got out of Walmart without any issue. “I can’t believe we actually got away with that,” Sean said.
    “Yeah, I am never going to do that ever again,” Frank said. After they left Walmart they decided that they would both go to Chili’s and order the full rack of ribs. Then after they both ate at Chili’s and paid for it they both went home. At about 2 in the morning Sean got a notification on his laptop. It was an email he had gotten that read, “I know you stole those Crocs from the Walmart. You should return them immediately or else something bad will happen.” After Sean got this email it might have been suspicious and Sean was wondering how they knew his email and knew he stole the Crocs, but didn’t think anything of it.
    The next day Sean was in his room watching television when he got a phone call from Frank. “I got this strange email yesterday and I was wondering if you got it too,” Sean said.
    “Yeah, I got it and I have no idea how they knew my email and saw us do it. We should just ignore it,” Frank said.
    “Okay I will do that. Bye,” Sean said and then he hung up. Little would they know that this would change their lives forever. Throughout the day Frank started noticing things in the sky were different. The sky’s color was a little different and the clouds were a different colors and shapes than they usually were. Only Frank noticed these differences out of the two of them, but these small discrepancies would soon turn out to be huge.
    While Frank was noticing strange events happening in the sky Sean was noticing weird things happening inside of his house. Sean noticed that his internet was acting super slow and that his gas appliances wouldn’t work. Once Sean started noticing this he got annoyed that he couldn’t cook his frozen pizza for lunch and got mad because he had already paid the gas bill ahead of time. So Sean asked his neighbor if he was experiencing the same problems “My gas and internet isn’t working. Are you having the same issue?” Sean asked. “I am actually having that problem and the person who lives next to me is having that same problem. I don’t know what’s going on” Sean’s neighbor said. Now Sean didn’t know what to feel and started to feel that this may be related to the strange email he got.
    After Frank went outside to look outside he decided to go inside and order lunch from Chili’s, but when he went to go order they said “We unfortunately cannot prepare your meal because our gas isn’t working. Sorry for your inconvenience”. Frank was annoyed but he decided to order from Chick Fil A, but when he went to order they said  “We unfortunately cannot prepare your meal because our gas isn’t working. Sorry for your inconvenience”. Now Frank started to become confused, because not only did the gas not work in both restaurants they were two completely different restaurants but said the exact same thing. Once Frank noticed this he ran over to his kitchen to try his stove, and it didn’t work.
    Right after this happened Frank called Sean and said “The Popeyes and Chili’s gas isn’t working and they both said the same exact thing word for word”
    “Yeah mine and my neighbor’s gas is broken too I don’t know why it’s happening” Sean said.
    “Do you think it is related to the emails?” Frank asked.
    “I thought that too and I think it might be related,” Sean said.
    “Also right before I called the Chili’s I saw weird patterns in the clouds. They didn’t look right. They looked deformed and discolored.” Frank told Sean.
    “That’s weird I- I just got a knock on my door. I have to hang up” Sean said to Frank worryingly. Sean walks downstairs and looks at the security camera, but strangely it is blacked out. Then Sean carefully walks down the stairs and opens the door and it is Gordon Ramsay, but he is wearing a suit and sunglasses. “Gordon Ramsay? What are you doing here?” Sean asked.
    “There has been a disturbance in the area. I work for the government and noticed that there were stolen crocs reported. Do you have any idea what that’s about?” Gordon Ramsay asked.
    “Me and my friend Frank stole the crocs yesterday because we couldn’t afford them.” Sean replied.
    “Do you have any idea what you have just done? If someone steals special edition crocs something very bad will happen. Did you by chance get an email?” Gordon Ramsay worryingly asked.
    “Yeah I did got one today why?” Sean asked.
    “If you got an email about the crocs that means you have 12 hours before everything shuts down.” Gordon Ramsay told Sean.
    “I was never told about this rule,” Sean said.
    “That’s because it is an unwritten rule. You should’ve returned those crocs. What time did you receive the email.” Gordon angrily said.
    “I got the email at about 2 AM.” Sean said and then they both looked at the clock...it was too late it was 3 PM. They both looked back at each other before Sean spoke “What does this mean now?”.
    “I don’t know. The events are always random.” Gordon Ramsay replied. “But we need to drive over to your friends house and tell him everything that is happening.” Gordon Ramsay said. They both ran over to Sean's car and drove to Frank’s house, but on the way there the stop lights had suddenly stopped working. The traffic was slow and unpredictable and on the way over to Frank’s house they drove by Chili’s. In front of the restaurant were all the waiters and waitresses just standing there and not moving. Even though this strange occurrence happened they both still got to Frank’s house safe and knocked on his door.
    “Sean, what are you doing here and Gordon Ramsay, why are you here?” Frank confusingly asked.
    “The stop lights have stopped working in the town and we ran out of time to save ourselves from the random bad events that are about to happen.” Sean yelled out.
    “What are you talking about?” Frank asked.
    “Look when your friend and you stole those crocs you got an email not too long afterwards right?” Gordon Ramsay asked.
    “Yeah how’d you know about that?” Frank asked.
    “Sean told me about it, but when you got that email you had a 12 hour timer to return the crocs before something bad could happen.” Gordon Ramsay shouted out.
    “What will happen now?” Frank questioned.
    “We have no idea but the stop lights have stopped working and the gas and internet aren’t working either. Can we come inside?” Sean asked.
    “Yes you two can come inside” Frank said. Once they came inside they turned on the local news to see if they were talking about it, but interestingly enough they weren’t talking about anything that had happened.
    Instead the news was saying “Chili’s staff mysteriously disappeared 13 hours ago and no trace of them has been found.” All of them looked at each other puzzled and didn’t know what to make of the news. Right as one of them was about to say something Frank’s microwave had exploded. All of them had screamed in a panic.
    “We shouldn’t have stolen those crocs, I knew it.” Sean shouted.
    “I know, but it is too late to return them now.” Frank yelled back at Sean. Then all three of them paused when they saw it. There was a chili pepper inside of the exploded microwave completely unaffected. This was completely impossible. How did the chili pepper get there? How was it unaffected?
    “Who could’ve placed this there?” Frank asked.
    “More importantly why is it there?” Sean asked.
    “We shouldn’t stand around here and worry about a chili pepper. We need to get to safety.” Gordon Ramsay commanded.
    “Where is somewhere that is safe? Everything seems to be closed.” Frank said.
    “At the 99 Cents store. They have a protective shield around it because they would never look there.” Gordon Ramsay replied.
    “Okay then let’s go over there we can take my car.” Sean told the group. They all got in the car and started driving to the 99 cents store. The only problem was that it was 50 miles away and it was going to take over 2 hours for them to get over there without any stop lights, but they were willing to risk that for safety. As they were driving there was a huge flash and bang. After this event a giant UFO appeared in the sky.
    “We need to get to the 99 cents store now!” Frank yelled at Sean. After this event Sean started going 100 MPH and eventually crashed into a pole. Luckily all of them survived but Sean now had a broken arm and they all had to walk the 30 miles they had left. “Is everyone okay?” Frank exclaimed.
    “No I have a broken arm,” Sean replied.
    “Yes, but you are alive and that's all that matters” Frank said.
    “I’m okay but now we have to walk,” Gordon said. They all began walking cautiously since the UFO was still in the sky. They walked for 10 miles and saw plenty of fights and crashes and the world as they knew it was basically on fire. “Is the world going to end?” Gordon Ramsay thought, which was what everyone in the group was thinking. 3 hours later they weren’t surrounded by buildings or fire anymore they were surrounded by giant chili peppers.
“What are these things” Sean paused and then said “They’re peppers,”.
“Don’t touch them, they might be dangerous,” Gordon Ramsay shouted. All they had was 4 miles left in a straight line to the 99 Cents store, but this felt like an eternity for everyone because they didn’t know what to think of the giant chili peppers and if they were going to die from the UFO.
        They had made it to the 99 Cents store and went to go to open the door and thankfully it was open, but there was nobody inside of the store. They didn’t care though because they were finally in some sort of safety. “I can’t believe we actually made it here” Frank resounded.
    “I know, but what do we do now?” Sean asked.
    “We have to wait here until help will arrive.” Gordon replied.
    “That sounds good,” Sean said and Frank agreed. While they were waiting inside of the store the all heard bangs outside and flashes, but had to ignore it or they would possibly die.
    “Where did the staff here go anyway?” Sean asked.
    “I don’t know, but I don’t want to think about it,” Gordon Ramsay replied. They all went to sleep and woke up 5 hours later to all of the soda exploding. “What is happening?” Gordon Ramsay said.
    “I have no idea, but we have no choice but to stay inside of here.” Frank said. The rest of the night was uneventful and nothing happened, but Frank asked an important question. “Is there any way we can reverse this?’.
    “There is one way, but I don’t know if we are able to do it” Gordon Ramsay said.
    “Well… What is it?” Frank asked.
    “You would have to go to the exact Walmart that you stole those crocs from, return them to the approximate spot where you found them, and then pay double but don’t take the crocs back. Immediately they all went outside to search for something that's faster than walking. They found a 2004 Ford Taurus Sudan.
    “I’ve never been so happy for an old boring car” Sean cheered.
    “Me too, but how are we supposed to drive it without keys.” Frank replied. Then Sean tried the door to see if it was open and it actually was open.
    “Well all I need to do is hotwire it. That’ll be easy” Gordon Ramsay said. After Gordon Ramsay hotwired it they started driving and went slower so they wouldn’t risk crashing. Luckily inside of the car was a suitcase containing exactly $999,  but none of them had any money on them. They looked everywhere inside of the car to find one last dollar. They all came to the conclusion that they must rob someone's car. They didn’t know which one of them had to do it, but Frank volunteered. Then Frank went outside and thought “It smells a lot like a Chili’s” but that wasn;t important to the story so he ignored it. He shattered the window of a Ford F-150 and stole a guy's wallet. Frank looked inside of the wallet and there was exactly $1 inside of it.
    “Did you get the money?” Gordon Ramsay asked.
    “Yes I did” Frank replied.
    “That’s great now let’s go over to Walmart.” Sean said. They drove in the area where the giant peppers were last time except they were all gone now.
    “Where did the chili peppers go?” Frank asked.
    “I have no idea.” Sean replied. Nothing eventful happened on the drive over to Walmart, but when they got to the Walmart nobody was there. No cashiers, no cars in the parking lot, and it was perfectly clean. They also didn’t see the UFO anymore, but they rushed inside to return the crocs.
    “Hurry I want this over quickly.” Sean said. Frank ran over to the aisle where the crocs had been stolen while Sean had already put the $1000 inside of the cash register. As soon as Frank put the crocs in the correct spot he woke up… inside of a Chili’s.
    “What happened?” Frank asked.
    “You had passed out when we were going to leave” Sean replied.
    “What about the crocs?” Frank asked.
    “What crocs?” Sean asked while looking puzzled.
    “Was I dreaming all of that?” Frank asked.
    “I guess so, but I met Gordon Ramsay and he helped you back up into the booth.” Sean asked.
    “Well okay then I guess that was just a dream.” Frank said. Then they both went home, but when Frank got home there was the pair of crocs lying right on his couch.
