In a remote location...

After flying for a good distance 20 began to grow bored, eventually glancing down while noticing what type of terrain they were flying above. "I am beginning to grow impatient..." 20 stated, frowning at the man flying in front of him as he went on. "Where are you leading us?"

Goku didn't respond, only speeding up a bit as he knew he had to get as far away from any cities or towns as possible. Something just doesn't feel right for some reason... He thought, narrowing his eyes as bit as he fought the heavy feeling in his chest.

"Very well... This is far enough." Android 20 said, stopping dead in his tracks as 19 did the same. "I have decided for you. We will fight here..."

All four Z Fighters watched as both androids descended slowly, everyone following them down as they all landed on the rough terrain.

Hmm... Why did he pick this spot? Piccolo thought to himself, looking around as he scanned the area. Let's see... High ground surrounded by rocky outcrops... That could mean they're thinking of using these rocks as cover... He realized, frowning as he glared back at both androids. "We mustn't underestimate them you guys..." Piccolo warned, looking over at Luna purposefully as he noticed she seemed to be distracted.

Luna watched Goku as he stared down the androids, observing him with worry as he looked as though he had just finishing one of their training sessions. Something's wrong... He couldn't have used up that much energy just flying here...

"Before we get this little show started, I want to know how you knew our names!" Goku said quickly, glaring at the man in front of him as he struggled to keep his breathing even.

"Yes, of course... As you wish. Though I doubt it will matter much to you after a few moments when you have been ground to a pulp." Android 20 stated coldly, "But if this is the last thing you wish to hear before you die... I will tell you." He went on, his face growing more serious as he began his story. "You have been under close observation for some time, by a highly sophisticated remote tracking device... This device was calibrated to hone in on your very distinct energy pattern and was planted on you during the World Martial Arts Tournament when you were still a boy... From that day forward, your every movement was monitored... Your fighting techniques studied... The secrets of your Kamehameha Wave revealed... Over the years, Dr. Gero followed your many battles, he witnessed your skills develop at a remarkable rate... He watched as your power soared to astounding new heights... And by watching, he learned..." Android 20 went on with a smirk, noticing that he had his entire audience hanging on to his every word. "You were studied until Dr. Gero had gathered enough information to create the perfect fighting machines... Powerful machines, machines fully capable of destroying you... The way you destroyed the Red Ribbon Army..." He said with spite, staring directly at Goku.

"This is just a grudge?!" Goku asked in shock, staring back at the android in disbelief.

"From the day you defeated the Red Ribbon Army, Dr. Gero dreamed only of revenge... We will realize his dream."

"So you're supposed to be one of these 'perfect fighting machines' I take it?" Piccolo asked, not seeing what was so terrifying about these two as Android 20 looked back at him creepily.

"Yes I am. I have been designed by my creator to be superior to you in every possible way... A shame he could not live to see this day..."

"I'm curious... Was he spying on me while I was fighting on planet Namek?" Goku asked, noticing he didn't say anything about their battles there yet.

"There was no more need. By that time, Dr. Gero had compiled all of the necessary information concerning your skills..." Android 20 stated as everyone looked at him in surprise. "It was assumed that your power would continue to increase over time, so that increase was calculated and factored into our design." Android 20 went on, glancing at Luna with a frown. She was the only thing that wasn't a part of their plan...

"Heh... You might think you know everything there is to know about me... But really, you're not even close." Goku said with a smirk, staring at the androids in front of him with a dark expression. He was going to make them pay for what they did to Yamcha, Yajirobe and the people of that city...

"Hmm...?"

"Your calculations..." Piccolo said sarcastically, crossing his arms across his chest as he laughed. "Did they predict that Goku would be a Super Saiyan?"

"Super Saiyan?" Android 20 said slowly, the term unfamiliar to his tongue as he watched with wide eyes as the man in front of him suddenly powered up.

Goku shouted, his hair changing from black to blonde as a familiar golden aura surrounded his body. The rest of the Z Fighters stood there confidently, smirking to themselves as both androids stared back in shock. Luna frowned, about to speak up and say something before Goku cut her off.

"You guys stay out of this..." The Saiyan said seriously, a drop of sweat rolling down the side of his face as he frowned. "It looks like they only want me and that's exactly who they'll get!" He finished with a yell as his power level rose even higher.

"This is a most unexpected development indeed..." 20 mumbled, staring at a now Super Saiyan Goku as Android 19 spoke up.

"This technique is not listed in my files twenty."

"Nor in mine... But my sensors indicate that there is no cause for concern..." The taller android commented while staring down the fighter in front of him. "Yes, it is a most impressive ability... But it is nothing we cannot handle. Nineteen will demonstrate this by himself..." He added as the fat robot next to him nodded in agreement before taking a step forward.

"Heh... Alright, have it your way..." Goku breathed, getting into a fighting stance as he smirked. "But I wouldn't bank on it if I were you!" He shouted, blasting towards Android 19.The fatter machine stood there, waiting for his attack as he watched the man known as Son Goku get closer and closer before vanishing. The android's blue eyes widened for a fraction of a second before he frowned, aiming a kick behind him that Goku blocked. After that, all Luna could see were arms and legs moving at lightning speed as both fighters went head to head.

Android 19 jumped back suddenly, keeping his eyes on Goku as he retreated towards a rocky section of land with a devious smirk on his face. The pale man snickered to himself as Goku growled, chasing after him as he disappeared over a large boulder. Before Goku could jump over it as well, Android 19 grinned on the other side, powering up a giant ball of ki before blasting it through the obstacle.

Goku covered his face as rocks and dust flew towards him, only dodging at the last second as he saw another beam of pink energy headed his way.Tired of playing games, the Saiyan blasted forward, giving the android a taste of his own medicine as he evaded his every attack while countering with one of his own...

Android 19 was too slow as Goku appeared behind him suddenly, slamming his elbow into the fighting machine's back before sending him sailing into a cliff in the distance. The entire section of rocks crumbling to the ground as everyone watched in shock.Android 20 stared at the Saiyan with wide eyes as Tien smirked, glancing at his friend on the battlefield. "That's it Goku!"

Something's not right... Luna thought, her eyebrows getting closer together as a small frown graced her features. They haven't even been fighting for that long and already, Goku has lost a lot of energy... She noticed, watching the dark haired man's chest as her sensitive hearing picked up on his irregular breathing. He seems to have the upper hand now, but for how long?

As if on cue, Android 19 pulled himself out of the rubble, glaring at Goku before dashing forward incredibly fast. Goku frowned, holding up one hand as he stopped him dead in his tracks, watching in amusement as the machine looked up at him in surprise before he kicked him into the air. Goku watched him sail upwards, powering up before jumping into the sky after him as both of them engaged in hand to hand combat again.

"Man, Goku's all over that thing... He's dominating... There's now way that android can win! He hasn't even touched him yet!" Tien said happily, watching as the Saiyan warrior landed hit after hit against his opponent. "Goku's got it in the bag..."

"Hmm... Maybe..." Piccolo said lowly, knowing that something was up, even if nobody else saw it yet...

Goku continued to knock the android around, stopping for a moment to catch his breath as he noticed a sharp pain in his chest. I can't stop now... He thought, frowning as he pushed the pain back, launching forward before kneeing the pale man in the gut. The Saiyan followed it up with a vicious roundhouse kick before he continued to pummel the other fighter with punches.

Hmm... Goku's new abilities greatly exceed anything I had anticipated... Android 20 thought with a frown, watching the battle going on above him. If the opportunity does not soon arise for 19 to steal some energy, he will drain his power reservoir and began to malfunction...

"That's them! Right there!" Gohan shouted, Krillin and Yamcha right behind him as all three fighters landed near by. "Father!"

"Hey, don't worry! Your dad has everything under control..." Tien said with a small smile, trying to sound reassuring. "That android never had a chance!"

Gohan looked up at his friend uncertainly before glancing towards Luna and Piccolo who were watching the fight with intense looks on both of their faces... Something was definitely up...

"Has it been like this the whole time?" Krillin asked, watching his best friend and the killer android go at it.

"Yeah, it hasn't laid a finger on Goku!" Tien replied happily as everyone else remained silent. "Look at him go... He's rewriting history up there! It looks like we're all going to live after all!"

"Yeah! I'm not even worried anymore!" Yamcha agreed as he turned his attention towards Gohan. "Are you Gohan?"

"Yeah."

"You're right to worry Gohan..." Piccolo chimed in, frowning as everyone looked his way while waiting for him to explain. "Goku's just not his usual confident self... His attacks aren't even hurting the android. He's going to need our help you guys..."

"Something is wrong..." Luna added, looking around at her friends seriously before returning her attention to the fight. "I'm just not sure what it is yet..."

"Hey... Wait a sec, he seems fine!" Tien said, laughing a bit before he went on. "You're both being paranoid. I mean, look at him! What could go wrong?"

"I'm telling you... Something's not right! Goku is maxed out for some reason... He's going to give out if this keeps up!" Piccolo argued, knowing that the Saiyan didn't have much time.

"Yeah, you're right... I can see it too!" Gohan admitted suddenly, frowning while keeping his eyes on the fight. "Hey guys... Remember what Yamcha said about feeling weak when the android touched him? Like it was absorbing his energy?"

"What?!" Piccolo growled, turning around to look at Gohan in surprise before his eyes landed on the fighter from Earth.

"Yeah... I felt energy leaving me..." Yamcha explained, recalling what had happened. "Like I was being drained or something... But it felt weird... Goku would know if it was happening to him..."

"No way..." Luna mumbled, looking rather nervous as she watched Goku toss Android 19 into the ground. "Those androids can absorb energy?!"

Luna looked over at Android 20, observing him for a moment as she noticed he never took his calculating gaze away from the fight. He watched along with everyone else as Goku hovered above the pale skinned android, breathing heavily while fighting the pain in his chest.

"Man, look! If Goku hit me like that, I wouldn't be able to move for a week!" Yamcha stated in shock, looking at the android with wide eyes as it pulled itself up from the dirt.

"Y-yeah... What are those things made of anyway?" Tien asked shakily, a few shreds of doubt finally creeping into his mind.

Goku and Android 19 stared each other down while everyone else watched in silence, the battlefield becoming eerily quiet for a few moments before the Saiyan's hands began making a familiar gesture.

"Ka... Me..."Android 19 just looked up from where he stood on the ground, his outfit ripped and torn in places while also covered in a good amount of dirt as he watched the man above him power up his attack.

"Ha... Me... HAAAA!" Goku shouted, blasting a huge beam of blue energy towards the android below him.Android 19 smirked, laughing joyfully as he raised one hand towards the attack, sucking up every bit of energy that Goku had thrown at him. Everyone watched in shock as the android continued to laugh, the red gem in his hand glowing brightly for a moment as Android 20 smirked, chuckling confidently from the sidelines.

"Man... That's not good..." Tien said seriously, looking over at his friends as they all looked quite surprised as well.

"Y-yeah, he absorbed it... I was right!" Yamcha added, glaring at Android 20 who was smirking in amusement.

Excellent... Android 20 thought to himself, narrowing his eyes as he observed the Saiyan in front of him. Now 19 is fully charged again and it seems that Goku's new technique is taking it's toll on him... Yes... Yes! The mighty Goku is finished! He cheered internally, smirking as he waited for the fight to continue.

"Goku!" Piccolo yelled, getting the other fighter's attention. "Don't use any of your energy waves! They absorb energy through their hands! It will only make them stronger, understand?"

"Y-you're kidding..." Goku wheezed, panting above them all as he struggled to stay focused. "Great... Now what? Oh man..."

Luna watched with wide eyes as Goku looked completely exhausted. "H-how did that thing take so much of his energy?"

"I don't think it did..." Piccolo answered lowly, frowning at Android 19 as he continued. "Something else must be sapping all his strength!"

Luna gasped, her eyes going wide as she suddenly knew what the problem was. Before she could say anything, Luna jumped slightly as Android 19 took off with incredible speed, heading straight for Goku before kneeing him right in the gut. Goku struggled to put the air back in his lungs as he countered, elbowing the fat android in the side of the head. Android 19 smiled, quickly backhanding the Saiyan across the face before raising both fists in the air and slamming him towards the ground.

"Oh no..." Luna mumbled, watching nervously as the Saiyan sailed towards the ground, recovering at the last minute before crashing in to the dirt.

Goku hovered a few inches above the ground, breathing heavily as he stared at the android floating above him with murderous eyes before making his trademark hand sign once more.

"KA... ME... HA... ME..."

"Goku, NO!" Piccolo shouted as everyone else watched in shock.

The ball of ki in Goku's hands disappeared suddenly... But not because he wanted it to. The Saiyan was tapped out... Realizing this himself, he stared at his hands while frowning. "Darn... Wh-what's wrong?" He coughed, gritting his teeth angrily as he felt a few drops of blood dripping down his face. "I... I can't give up!"

"Dad..." Gohan mumbled, watching as his father lowered himself down to the ground, not knowing what to do. "Something's wrong..."

"I can't believe it... Goku's backing off..." Yamcha mumbled, unable to believe what he was seeing as well.

"He must be hurt really bad!" Krillin said nervously while frowning. "But how?"

"The virus!" Luna shouted, watching in horror as Goku grabbed at the clothing in front of his heart. "It's attacking his heart right now!"

"Yes... That must be it!" Piccolo said, thinking about it for a moment before continuing. "But it's happening much later than the boy from the future said it would... Goku just thought he'd made a mistake, but somehow his visit has already changed history!"

"Man..." Krillin growled, clenching his fists angrily as everyone else stood there in shock.

Suddenly, Goku dropped to one knee, grabbing at his chest as he fought to keep his breathing even. Luna and Gohan both took a couple steps forward, stopping quickly as the Saiyan sent them both a seriously look.

"No! S-stay..." He growled, struggling to stand up as Luna frowned, not wanting to stand by while she could be helping.

"But-"

"Just wait." Piccolo grumbled, cutting her off while remembering what Trunks had said. The antidote... We just have to get him that medicine... He thought, gritting his teeth together as he noticed Android 20 watching all them closely.

"Rrgh..." Gohan growled, frowning at Android 19 as he thought about how much he wanted to jump in there right now.

"Don't do it Gohan..." Krillin stated, looking over at his friend while seeing the troubled look no his face. "Your dad is still in command and we can't intervene until he says so..." He finished seriously, his eyes landing on Luna as well. "But there is one thing we can do... We can give him a senzu bean!"

This is horrible... Goku thought, clutching his gi tightly as he tried to focus on something other than the pain. I feel like I'm dying!

"Goku!" Krillin shouted, jumping up for a moment before tossing the small bean towards his friend. "Senzu bean! Catch!"

"You're the best Krillin..." Goku said gratefully, popping the bean in his mouth before chewing it a couple of times. "Thank goodness for Korin..."

"We are well aware of the restorative properties of the senzu bean..." Android 20 stated calmly, "Yes... The bean's magic has begun to heal your body just as it healed your friend's... But we will not allow you the time to recover!"

Android 19 smirked, narrowing his eyes as two red beams of energy shot towards the spot where Goku was standing. The explosions shook the ground as everyone watched in shock as the android blasted forward. Both fighters met head on in the air, 19 wasting no time before landing a vicious punch right in Goku's face. The Saiyan stumbled back, failing to dodge hit after hit as the android knocked him around. Finally, 19 spun around, kicking the fighter back towards the ground, laughing in amusement as he watched the Saiyan struggling to stand up.

"The senzu bean isn't working!" Gohan said quickly, his voice laced with worry as he noticed his father seemed to be getting worse.

"What do you mean? The senzu beans have always worked for us before..." Krillin said, his eyes narrowing in confusion.

"No... The senzu beans do work..." Luna explained quickly, seeing exactly what was going on. "But he needs the antidote!"

"That's got to be it... I'm positive!" Gohan agreed, nodding his head once with a look of determination in his eyes. "We have to go back home to get it! It's the only way!" He finished, looking back and forth between Luna and Piccolo as everyone else watched in silence.

Piccolo growled, looking back towards the fight suddenly as 19 charged towards Goku. The Saiyan couldn't dodge a single attack as the obese android slapped him around as he gasped for air. In less than a minute, Goku was back on the ground, struggling to get up again... But this time, it wasn't going to happen.

Everyone watched in horror as the Saiyan's hair changed from blonde to black as Goku powered down while Android 19 chuckled confidently.

"Oh no... Dad..."

"Goku changed back! He changed! He's not a Super Saiyan anymore!" Yamcha stammered, watching with wide eyes as Tien was unable to look away as well.

"Man, that's not good!"

Luna gasped as 19 walked towards Goku, grinning evilly before jumping up and landing directly on his chest. A chill went down her spine as she heard her friend screaming in pain while the heavy machine put all it's weight on top of his already exhausted body.

"We have to help! We... We have to do something!" Luna spoke up, hovering above the ground a few inches while looking around at her friends as they all continued to watch the fight. I can't just sit by and do nothing!

"Yes... Perfect..." Android 19 stated, raising one hand while opening his closed fist as the red gem inside shined brightly. Goku struggled underneath him as the monster grabbed his neck, starting to drain him of whatever energy he had left.

"That's it you guys... Goku's in trouble!" Piccolo said finally, watching with wide eyes as he felt the Saiyan's power level going down. "Let's move in!"

Everyone rushed forward, jumping up before flying towards their fallen comrade.

Android 20 frowned, disappearing suddenly before reappearing in front of all the Z Fighters as he blocked their path. "Stay where you are..." 20 warned, glaring at all of them seriously before continuing. "That is, of course, unless any of you are foolish enough to believe you can get past me..." He said calmly, holding his arms out as he watched them all stare back at him wordlessly. "Just as I thought..."

"Hmpf... Think again." Piccolo said lowly, smirking before charging forward and aiming a kick at the white haired android.

20 dodged the attack effortlessly, leaning back as two beams of energy shot out of his eyes, hitting Piccolo right in the chest.

"Rrgh!" The Namekian hissed, his eyes going wide as he fell to the ground.

"Piccolo!" Luna and Gohan shouted in unison, the smaller Saiyan flying down to check on him as Luna glared at Android 20.

"Y-you!" She stuttered, clenching her fists as she felt her control slipping. "You'll pay for that!" She shouted, disappearing from sight as everyone watched in shock.

Even Android 20 seemed to be surprised as he looked around, waiting for her attack. He raised his hand suddenly, blocking her incoming fist as she reappeared behind him. 20 swiped at her with his other arm, missing by an inch as she flew up, vanishing again before appearing next to him.

"HA!" She shouted, landing a kick right on the man's chest as she felt it connect with a good amount of force. Luna looked up with a cocky grin, expecting the man to be in pain but froze when she saw that it didn't seem to phase him at all.

"Do not test my patience fool..." 20 stated, frowning down at her as his arms closed around her leg faster than she could pull it back. "Have you not learned from Piccolo's mistake?" He asked, smirking at her terrified expression before tossing her back towards Yamcha, Tien and Krillin.

"You alright?" Krillin asked, glancing over at her as she straightened out her dress.

Luna nodded, glaring at the white haired android angrily before floating down to check on Piccolo.

"We need to do something you guys!" Yamcha spoke up, looking at Goku and Android 19 nervously. "Look! He's running out of time!"

Everyone watched helplessly, unsure of what to do as their friend screamed in pain as the android drained him of his energy. Luna placed her hands on Piccolo's chest, healing his wound quickly before her eyes widened for a second as she thought she sensed a familiar power level...

Before she had time to think about it too much, everyone jumped as another fighter appeared on the scene, kicking the android right in the face before sending him flying...

"Nobody kills Kakarot while I'm around..." Vegeta stated seriously, glaring at an irritated Android 19 while smirking. "Destiny has reserved that pleasure for me."
