"KAI!!!!!!" You scream, storming around the bounty looking for the fire ninja. "I am seriously going to kill you!!!" You open the doors to all the rooms on the bounty, and finding them empty, slam them with such force the pictures on the walls rattle.
You tore apart his room, looking in his closet, under his bed, on the ceiling. Just plain everywhere. But you couldn't find him. You groan angrily and leave his room.....But not before leaving a little present on his bed.

You head to the kitchen, where your brother Cole was attacking a piece of cake. Not thinking twice, you slap the cake out of his hands and yank your older brother down by his shirt to meet his gaze.

"Where. Is. He?" You say threw clenched teeth. Cole scowled at you.

"You killed my cake." He complained, looking at the desert on the linoleum floor.

"Cole Everett Brookstone, if you don't tell me where that idiotic pyromaniac is, I will make it my life's mission to make your life a cakeless one." His eyes widen for a second, then he says,

"I don't know where he is."You frown, and let go of his shirt. Straightening his orange t, he sighs.
"What did he do this time?"

"You'll laugh." You accuse. You knew your brother too well. He was going to laugh his cake loving ass all the way to Africa when he sees what Kai did.

You hoped when he did, a lion would bite his head off.

"Will not!" He protested. "Just tell me. He's going to tell everyone anyway." That was true. Every prank he pulled on you he posted on YouTube or Facebook. You played the mother ducker back with your own pranks (sometimes with the help of Lloyd).

But then he just kept pranking just as hard. It was a prank stand still. You pranked him about a month back by dying all his gi's pink. Then there was a accident that involved all his bedding turning pink. It was a total mistake, but Kai didn't believe you.

For a month Kai didn't get you back, which made you jumpy. Everywhere you turn you expected him to jump out at you or come face to face with a diabolical scheme his tiny little pyro brain came up with.

"Fine." You sigh, leading him down to your room. Sometimes you wish you still lived with your dad. Then you wouldn't have to deal with Kai. But ever since sensei Wu told your father that there's a chance you might have elemental powers, you've been living on the Ship. You haven't gotten your powers yet, and were starting to worry if you even had any to begin with.

Another thing Kai used against you.

Stupid pyro.

You opened your bedroom door and made an over dramatic gesture with your hand to show him. He rolled his eyes and stepped inside and came out two seconds later with a red face. Well he said he wanted to see!

And what he saw just happened to be your underwear taped to the ceiling.

"How did he even get up there?" Cole asks, closing your door quickly. He was still red from embarrassment.

"He's a ninja." You said as if that explained everything.

"Or maybe I used a ladder." Said the voice that makes you grit your teeth in annoyance. You turned around so fast, you smacked Cole in the face with your hair.

"You." You hiss. Kai was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, and had that irritating cocky grin on his face. You lunge at him, about to give him a piece of your mind, or fist that works too, when Cole pulled you back.

You struggle against him, but it didn't do you any good. Cole had super strength. Plus it made Kai snicker seeing you struggle.

"Calm down y/n" Cole told you "I'll handle it." After a few seconds, you stop wriggling and Cole released you. You watch as Cole walks over to Kai, and smirk in satisfaction when your brother punches Kai in the arm.

Kai yelped in pain "OW, DUDE!"

"If you ever raid my sister's uh, underwear drawer again, I don't care if it's for a prank, I'm punching you in the face pretty boy." Kai nods in agreement.

Cole looks between you two a couple of times and mutters something like, "Why can't you two get along?" And walks off. Kai looks after him, and waits until he's well turned the corner and looked back at you, amber eyes sparkling.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" You ask.

"Knowing you, you're gonna prank me back. I'm just wondering what it is." You glare and walk past him.

But you can't resist throwing a

"Just wait and see, Smith. Just wait and see."

To say you were frustrated would be an understatement.

You honestly didn't know what you were feeling, but it felt like anger, disappointment, and frustration.

Maybe you'll ask Zane to make a new word for this feeling.

You were trying to "find your center" and "unlock your elemental powers" by meditating. But you've been sitting in your room for hours and nothings happened. This has been going on for a few months now.

Wu said you might have powers. So there's a chance you could have none at all. So that means you could be here for no reason at all.

You stand up and groan as you stretch. You had no idea how Zane and Sensei Wu did this all the time. Sitting still for hours at a time. With your eyes closed.

Basically sleeping while sitting.

You jumped when your door slammed open, and Kai walked in.

"Why?" He hissed between his teeth, and you smile innocently.

"Why what?" You asked him, and you saw his hands spark a little with heat.

"You put. An elf. On my bed." He said, giving a look so dirty you felt like you just got done mud wrestling. "You know I'm terrified of them. I didn't think you would stoop so low."

You look at him angrily. "Me? You're talking about me stooping low? You raided my underwear drawer! That's stooping low. Going threw someone's personal belongings, then going as far as taping them on my ceiling, and posting a video of it on YouTube is stooping low. Don't go preaching to the choir unless you practiced what you're preaching." You finish, sending a glare his way.

He rolled his eyes. "Very poetic Shakespeare. Maybe your powers are boring people to death with your lame speeches." He said sarcastically, but you knew from the cold look in his eyes that what you said got to him. "Besides" he said, trying to keep his voice level "I didn't even post anything.....yet."

Looks like the "Fire Lord" doesn't have impenetrable armor like you thought. Some of the things you say actually do get to him.

You get up in his face as you say "I really wish you would stop pulling that card. It's getting old, and quite frankly, I could care less if I got powers or not. Me not having powers would mean me going back home to my dad and my friends and not having to spend another insufferable day on this ship with you." You say venomously. You push past him, leaving him staring after you from your bedrooms doorway.

There's a reason why we can't get along Cole, you think to yourself as you angrily stalked up to the deck. You were giving off such a dark aura that even Zane didn't stop to say hi to you.

Once outside you take a deep breath, anger still sizzling. You loved going out on the deck, and looking down at the passing villages during the night time. It was one of your favorite things to do to get away from Kai.

As you wipe away a few angry tears, you look down at the lights of New Ninjago City.

They were beautiful.

Like Kai's eyes.

But unlike his eyes, they weren't cold and harsh.

We're enemies Cole, you think as you start to drift off.

And that's all we'll ever be.

So..... not what you were expecting right? I mean, heesh you guys hate each other.

But maybe that'll be resolved.....
