Accident
:/
You made a mental note never to ride with Kai again. Because of two reasons:
1. He was freaking crazy and wouldn't slow down for nothing (which got you thinking about how many times he's probably failed his driving test)
And 2.
When dismissing his dragon, he didn't give you a warning. So when the dragon suddenly disappeared from underneath you, you fell on your ass, unlike Kai, who landed smoothly on the buildings roof.
Stupid pyro.
He smiled at you as you dusted off your grey gi, (your real one was still dirty from your last training session so you had to use one of your plain extras....typical.) And you glared at him.
"You really can't do anything right, can you?" He said tauntingly.
"Really, now? We're kind of on a mission! We don't have time for this."
Kai rolled his eyes, and gestured around the empty roof top, save the kid still standing at its edge. "No one's here, y/n. And it's not like that boy is just going to jump off the roof on his own accord-"
"That's the problem! There's no one here Kai! If this is the actual spot, then wouldn't you think that there would be some sort of guard here?"
"Maybe they're all at the decoy spot? To make it look realistic?" Kai said in an obvious tone, walking towards the teenage boy still standing on the roofs edge.
You were still on edge. Something wasn't right. It would never be this easy, that much you knew. Kai was just so eager to accept an easy win, he wasn't thinking things threw.
"Kai, wait-" you called, but he was already standing behind the boy.
"Hey, kid!" Kai said, turning the thirteen year old to face him. "We're here to take you ho- what the hell?"
When the thirteen year old was finally turned around enough for you to see his face, you realized what Kai was cursing about.
This boy looked like no other you ever seen.
Unless it was a new fashion trend to have glowing green eyes, and a face that looked like it was splashed with boiling hot water.
You hadn't seen his face on the dragon, you were too far away, but you didn't think it was possible to miss those glowing, acid colored eyes.
Kai started to back away from the kid slowly, as if he was trying not to scare him into attacking.
"Y/n." He called over his shoulder, still making his slow retreat. "I think this is the decoy."
You had been thinking the same thing. You and Kai played the most important part in the plan. If you weren't there, the other ninja would just have to improvise. Some how, this part you still hadn't worked out, this non serpentine ring leader had found out about the plan and placed this glowing eyed distraction so that you would head off course.
So the real person you and Kai were supposed to save was really at Borg industries.
You had been wrong.
"Kai, we have to leave. Right now." You said in panic. "This is a trap!"
"I worked out that much." Kai said irritably, finally back at your side. "But I don't think that thing is going to let us. Look." Kai told you, pointing at the decoy.
You eyes snapped back to the fake thirteen year old, and noticed it's head was tilted to the side, foam coming out of his mouth like some rabid dog.
Except when the foam fell to the ground, the cement started smoking.
"Oh shit." You mutter, just as it lunged towards you and Kai.
Cole's POV
Things were bad.
Scratch that.
Things were royally screwed.
Y/n And Kai haven't showed up yet, leaving me and the others left with no choice but to wing it, and initiate the plan with out them.
Unfortunately, it's not working too well.
I remember the serpentine being a decent fight, but not so much that we couldn't stop them.
They totally changed.
Several times I've been knocked down, or my weapon was knocked away, and I would've probably died if I hadn't either rolled out of the way, or one of my friends came to my aid.
I couldn't help but be worried about her. Y/n is my sister. If she was ever hurt, I don't know what I would do.
I finally managed to take out a serpentine wielding what looked like a pair of nun chucks.
Jay copy cat. I just hope he's not as much as a motor mouth like Jay, too.
Lloyd was suddenly at my side, both swords in his hands.
"Nya has the hostage. We can retreat."
My eyes practically popped out of my head.
"Retreat? Can't you do some Green ninja hocus pocus and take these jerks down?" I asked. There was no way I was going to retreat.
Lloyd talked while he defended himself from another snake, who this time had some throwing star type weapon. Not exactly like Zane's, but close enough.
"My father taught me not to-" he ducked the punch that was thrown at him. "To rely on my powers so much. I'll admit, these guys are tough, but I don't need to summon the golden dragon to beat them. We'll come back when we're stronger. Right now, all that matters-"
"Is that we take the kid home, and find Kai and my sister." I finish, just as Lloyd airjitzued his opponent across the roof top. I smirk at him. "Look at you, all grown up and leader like."
Lloyd's face turned red. "I'm not that grown up." He protested weakly, then summoned his power dragon, and climbed into its back.
I did the same.
It was time I found my sister.
Your pov
This thing was harder to beat than you initially thought.
It some how managed to take both you and Kai on with out even getting hit once.
This was getting on your nerves.
You were pushed out of the way by the red ninja just as the creature spat it's acid mouth foam at you.
You righted yourself just in time to see Kai fighting with the thing, sword against pipe.
Yes. It managed to melt a pipe off the roof. The sight was almost comical, a apparent thirteen year old with a pipe, and a sixteen year old with a sword, battling it out. But they were getting to close to the edge of the roof for your liking. You didn't want Kai being pushed off by that creature.
"Get away from the edge you if idiot!"
"Shut up and help me!" Kai yelled back.
You jumped in the fight, wielding your own weapons, which were two deadly daggers that were easily concealed in the sleeves of your gi.
Nya had given them to you on your first day at the bounty.
Kai had made many comments about your choice of weapon, but you knew something that he didn't: knives were meant for the quickest of fighters.
And you were fast. Almost as fast as Jays mouth.
Which is why it frustrated you that you couldn't land a blow.
And why it surprised you That you were hit in the side with that stupid pipe.
You fell to the ground, hold your side. You groaned in pain. It was possible that the little shit just broke your rib.
"Y/n!" Kai exclaimed, almost getting hit upside the head. Kai deflected the blow, looking angry.
"Look pal, I don't care how annoying she is" you glared at him threw the pain "But only I get to fight her. Besides, her brother would kill me if I let her die."
The thing didn't respond. Just spat a wad of acid at him.
Kai almost managed to get out of the way. Almost. The foamy acid hit him in the shoulder, and burned right threw his gi.
Kai screamed in pain, holding his smoking shoulder, and staggered closer to the edge.
The one you warned him about.
"Kai!" You screamed, still holding your side. It hurt to even breathe. "Get away from there!"
Kai's amber eyes slid in and out of focus as he looked at you. He moved a little towards your direction, but wasn't fast enough to avoid the pipe that hit his head with a sickening crack.
You screamed as the force of the blow knocked him off the roof.
