I was sound asleep when you walked into my apartment and tackled me on the bed, making me regret ever giving you the spare key to come in. I'm pretty sure there was dried drool on my face, because as I rubbed my eyes and groaned in protest, you burst out laughing.

You had a small paper bag in your hand, which you handed to me with a very shy smile on your face.

"100 days of being mine," was what you said, causing my heart to swell up with affection.

Inside the bag were 2 identical silver rings. You slipped one onto my ring finger, whispering sweet promises of never leaving me into my ear, messing with my emotions and making me cry, making me cry because you are my everything Jungkook.

You told me to slip the other ring on you, and I gladly did so, tears flowing down my cheeks as I did.

"Mine," you said, kissing the ring on my finger. "And I'm yours," you showed me the ring on your hand, and I hugged you tight.

Promise rings.

And I promised to myself that you'd be the first and the last person I loved.

There's no one else I'd rather be with. There's only you Jungkook. I love you. And I miss you. I told you I'd wait. And I will, I will because you are my world. But.

Please come back soon. It hurts.

Jungkook's breath hitched as his hands trembled. His hands trembled as he brought them up to his face, a pretty vine-shaped silver ring twirling around the ring finger of his left hand. How had he not noticed it before. How had he not questioned it before. How could he have not wondered about such an important thing.

Tears fell freely from his eyes as the image of the guy he pictured himself with became very clear. He could see a mop of black hair resting on his lap as he threaded his fingers through those luscious locks, he could see them baking red-velvet cupcakes only to end up burning them to a charred black, he could see himself upset and tender touches could be felt while a soothing voice would lure him into comfort, he could see the tears in the eyes of his lover as he presented him with the silver rings on his bed.

He could see a mop of black hair in front of him.

"J- Jim- Jimin," Jungkook's voice was unsteady as hell and his head spun with the sudden onslaught. "Park Jimin. Jiminie. Jimin hyung."

A fresh set of tears leaked out from the man standing at the foot of his bed as he shook while sobbing and Jungkook was encouraged to speak more.

"I- I'm so- God, hyung. I'm-"

Jungkook was shut off when Jimin sat on the bed next to him and cried into his hand, holding it tight as if it were the only thing keeping him from collapsing.

"You're back. You're back. You're back."

Jimin repeated the sentence over and over, body shaking, cold metal of his ring touching the skin of Jungkook's palm.

"Hyung."

Jimin sniffed and looked up into those doe eyes he oh-so-adored with all of his heart.

"Jungkook-ah?"

Jungkook hummed and pulled Jimin's hand onto his cheek, leaning into the warmth.

"I'm so sorry. I love you. I love you so much I'm so sorry hyung. I love you more than anything-"

Jimin shook his head and planted his lips firmly on the younger's, salty tears mixing in as they drunk each other in.

"Don't apologize," Jimin sighed contentedly as long fingers carded through his locks. "I love you. I knew you'd remember Kook-ah. I knew you would."

How could Jungkook ever forget this sound, this warm touch, this love. His mind was tingling at the memories, memories that were so euphoric that even temporarily forgetting them made him feel super guilty. How could he ever.

Jungkook sighed into his boyfriend's arms. This was the boy he had once wanted to spend his forever with. And he still stood by his thoughts to do so. How much he had missed this.

"I love you," a soft whisper left Jungkook's mouth in a hushed promise to the boy in front of him. The boy who meant the world to him. "I'll never let you suffer again."

And as they kissed, the two boys smiled and teared up. Because this was where they belonged. In each other's arms. Nothing could tear them apart. They would always come back to each other.

a/n : This is the end of the story because I really can't think of more endings or extending the plot. It's been really long since I last updated and I'm so sorry. But I'm so thankful for every one of you who contributed to the reads. Idk if I'll write an epilogue for this, depends on the circumstances. But there won't be a sequel for certain. I would like to end the story in a place where the readers can imagine what the future is going to be like for the characters. Hence a sequel is a definite no. Thank you for reading. :) I love you guys.
