"What happened?"

Jimin panted in front of Taehyung, having run all the way up twelve flights of stairs.

"He fell unconscious all of a sudden-"

"Where is he?" Jimin pushed his hair back and glanced at Taehyung, impatient for his reply.

"Jimin they won't let you in-"

"Where is he?" Jimin repeated his question, desperation in his voice. "Please. I want to see him. Please tell me."

Taehyung sighed and pointed at a set of double doors on the far right end of the hallway. Without wasting another moment, Jimin walked into the room, making no noise at all. The nurses allowed him to enter, seeing as how he looked so broken. He quietly took a seat on the chair beside Jungkook's bed and brushed back the sleeping boy's bangs from his forehead. Jungkook's skin was warm under Jimin's cold hand.

"Don't push yourself so hard Kookie," Jimin whispered softly, hands playing with Jungkook's soft hair. "Take it slow. You'll eventually remember."

Jimin noticed a folded piece of paper in Jungkook's clenched fist and gently pulled it out. He opened the paper and realized it was one of his notes.

It was your birthday. Since you didn't want to celebrate in a huge way, I took you to a nice restaurant and later we went to the ice rink to skate. You were shit scared of falling and you held onto me like a koala the whole time, not that I minded. At some point you wanted to try skating alone and so you let go of me, only to fall back into my arms. Your nose was red because of the cold and God, you looked so cute Jungkook. And I couldn't hold myself back. I kissed you. It was my first kiss. You were my first kiss. And I loved it.

We ended up laughing after we pulled away. And we were both so shy to talk.

PS- I asked you out with shaking hands and so much stammering. Such a loser.

Jimin smiled at the memory, looking over at Jungkook who was sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed. He placed the note on the table next to Jungkook's bed and bent down. His lips touched Jungkook's forehead in a tender kiss and he rubbed Jungkook's hand.

"I love you Kookie."
