I had a messed up day at work and I was so upset about it. I tried to mask it but you saw right through me when we met up for coffee. You kept asking me what was wrong. And I was an idiot about it to the point where I snapped at you and told you to shut up and leave me alone. You didn't leave. Instead you pulled me in for a hug. It was so comforting and homely. I remember gripping the back of your shirt, relishing how you could take away all of my frustration just by hugging me. I realized something then.
You are very important to me, Jungkook. Very important.
"Do you think he'll be okay reading the notes by himself?"
Taehyung squeezed his best friend's hand, a reassuring smile on his face.
"I know he'll be okay Jimin."
Jimin sighed and turned back to look at Jungkook through the glass. Jungkook was trying hard, he had crease lines on his forehead and his fists were clenched hard. Jimin didn't want him to wear himself out. He would wait patiently for Jungkook to remember him.
"Tae," Jimin called out, voice soft and urgent. "Please tell him not to try too hard. He'll wear himself out. I'll wait for as long as it takes, just make sure he stays healthy."
Taehyung gave him a nod. It was sad really, the fact that two people who loved each other so dearly were now so far apart.
"Jimin?" Taehyung called out, noticing Jimin standing with his head down, a few droplets falling on his shoes.
"I love him Taehyung-ah," Jimin whispered, voice shaking badly. "It hurts me to see him like this. Jungkookie doesn't deserve this."
And Taehyung frowned. He hated watching two of his closest friends hurt. Life was so unfair sometimes.
