------------

"Jonathan, slow down! It's five in the morning!" Lui said, rubbing sleep out of his eyes along with everyone else. They were all stood inside of the hotel rooms, and Jonathan was telling them that they had to leave now.

Jonathan had tried to go back to sleep, but he was too worried about Evan. So instead he woke up everyone and told them to get dressed and packed, they were leaving now.

He sighed, repeating himself once more. "We have to go right now, Evan is in trouble."

"But how do you know he's in trouble? Maybe it's just your paranoia."

"No, I know he's in trouble. I can feel it, and if you guys aren't coming with me then stay here and sleep, but I'm going back." He stated, determined as he started getting his things together so that he could leave.

"You sound just like him." Tyler murmured to himself, shaking his head ever so slightly as he went to the other room to pack his things.

-------------

He blinked, sitting himself up as he looked around. He was in his own room, but how? Last time he checked he had been with Delirious in that burning building, they were making there way out.

A sudden headache caused him to give a small gasp of surprise, making him notice that he had an oxygen mask on him. He turned to his left, surprised at the sight of Jonathan next to him, fast asleep.

Lonely and bored, Evan decided to wake him up, shaking him slightly and calling his name.

"Wha- Evan?" He said, his voice tired yet surprised as he lifted his head and looked over Evan.

"Hey Jonathan, I just woke up." He said, laying back down in his bed.

"I can see that, how are you feeling?" Concern evident in his voice, Jonathan sat up and moved his chair a bit closer to Evan.

"I'm feeling okay, a bit tired and hazy though. I just can't remember what happened." Truthful in his words, Evan released a small yawn, even though he felt like he would never sleep.

"Don't worry about that, you're safe now. Everyone's safe now." He put his hand on Evan's arm reassuringly, smiling warmly at him.

"How long have I been out?" It was dark out, so Evan thought he had been out for a few hours, since he had most likely passed out while it was daylight.

"A week." His voice cracked, pain flooding his statement as he looked at Evan with such a happy smile, it was impossible to think he had been miserable a few hours earlier.

"A week? Have you really been sitting here for a week?" Evan asked, not even having to ask to know that Jonathan had stayed right next to him the whole time he had been out. Jonathan had always stayed close to Evan, the other guys hated him too much.

Jonathan nodded, his eyes giving way to his tiredness yet his smile was as bright as ever.

Evan took off his mask, placing it on the nightstand as he scooted to his right, patting the spot next to him so Jonathan could join him.

Not even hesitating at the offer, Jonathan crawled into bed next to him, wrapping an arm around him as Evan laid his head on his chest. They sat like this for a few minutes in a comfortable silence.

It was Evan who had broken it. "You know, I really meant what I said back there. When we were in a burning building and concrete had fallen on top of you. I wasn't just high off the smoke fumes."

Jonathan had started to play with Evan's hair, which felt relaxing to both of them. "I know, Evan. I know. Also, I love you too. I never got to say that earlier."

Silence was brought once again, Jonathan had even been starting to drift off into sleep again when Evan called him. "Jonathan?"

"Yeah Evan?" He asked, taken by surprise as Evan sat up to face him.

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

Instead of answering, Jonathan just pulled Evan in for another kiss, which felt just as magical as the first.

"I thought you'd never ask."

--------------

It was kind of odd, really. The guys, some of them half dressed because they were so blind with sleep, dragging their bags into the van. It was odd because they all looked like they were going to collapse from exhaustion at any moment, but they didn't. It was as if they all had a unified determination. Which they did.

After Jonathan had convinced the guys that Evan was in trouble, they worked together like a well oiled machine. They had packed, gotten dressed, and loaded the van within an hour, which was a first for them. Even under Vanoss' lead, they were all painfully slow at waking up, which is why Evan always insisted on waking them up hours before he should be.

Jonathan had sent Tyler to check them out this time, warning him that he might get hit on by the girl at the front desk. Tyler had just smiled in response and said: "Don't worry, I got a plan."

-----------

The next morning, Evan was woken up by voices all around his bed. Keeping his eyes shut to give the illusion he was still asleep, he tried to hear what they were saying.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." He heard Tyler's irritated voice come from his left, looks like he still hated Jonathan. "There's no way they got together."

It was at that point when Evan realized he was still curled up against Jonathan, his head still on his chest.

"Shut up, Tyler. I think they look cute together, besides, you're not the boss of either of them." Craig said, his voice also drifting from the left.

"I know, but still. He saved his life three fucking times and now-"

"People don't get together because they save each other's life, friends do that too." Craig snapped, cutting Tyler off.

"Craig, what do you-" Tyler started only to be cut off once more.

"Will both of you shut it?! You're going to wake them and Evan needs to rest, not jerked awake by your yelling about his love life! Everyone, out, now!" Brock growled, his tone sounding like a mother annoyed at her children.

Evan heard the door open and close, Tyler and Craig continuing to yell as they walked down the hall, most likely to tell the guys about what happened.

He heard Brock sigh, then walk back over to the bed. "They're gone Evan, I know they woke you up."

Evan opened his eyes, blinking away the sleep, he sat up, remembering to take Jonathan's arm off of himself carefully. "Thanks Brock, I don't know if I could listen to Tyler's ranting anymore."

Brock smiled at him, starting his checkup as he spoke. "No problem, Tyler was getting on my nerves too, especially when he woke you up."

"I don't mind, Jonathan told me I've been out for a week last night."

"Yeah, you were. You really scared us, I've never seen smoke affect someone so badly. But then again you were in that building for quite a while."

"Was I? It felt like just a few minutes for me, although I don't remember anything after I passed out."

"You were in there for like half an hour, Tyler was convinced you were dead. He was even about to go into the building himself to get you. You should've seen his face when Jonathan walked out, he looked so surprised."

"I bet he was, Tyler had been convinced that Jonathan had left without us."

"He always thinks that, it's like his dream or something." Brock joked, reaching for his stethoscope.

Evan laughed. "I'm pretty sure it is." He tried to calm his breathing so that Brock could check his heartbeat.

After Brock had checked his heartbeat, finishing his checkup, he started to put his things away. Evan was about to lay down again when Brock spoke. "Hey Evan?"

"Yeah, Brock?"

"I'm really happy for you, you two are really cute together."

"Thanks."
