A shadow sits

Thoughts of you in my head

I still feel you in my bed

Alone in the dark no sound at all

A shadow sits alone in the hall

The outline is short, it reminds me of you

Is this my mind playing peek a boo?

Quick images are flashing throughout my mind

Gives me a chance to press rewind

On times when we laughed all night long

On times we danced to our favorite song

Yet the shadow taunts me throughout the night

Waking me up in shocks of fright

Is this my punishment for the way I was

Is this my life doomed for lust

I see the shadow as it sits alone

As I cry heavily holding my phone

Should I call and suck up my pride

Or crawl away from your shadow and hide

This shadow beckons me beyond control

This shadows eyes peirce deep in my soul

For each time I look I loose my breath

The shadow sits taunting my death
