"Welcome back," said Elwin as he put a cool compress on his head. "Wha?" He said. Then the memories came storming into his mind and he yelled, "Sophie!" His dad went to him and said,"Fitz, there's no reason to worry. Just rest." Fitz yelled at him," There is a reason to worry, Dad. Don't say there isn't. You don't know where she is. You don't know what happened. You weren't there." With that, he got up and walked towards the door. Sandor, Sophie's goblin body guard was there. When did he show up? Thought Fitz. Sandor hasn't been guarding Sophie since a couple of weeks after Silveny moved to the Sanctuary. Sandor picked him up around the waist and dragged a kicking and screaming Fitz. Elwin grabbed a sedative but Fitz held his breath. He wouldn't give up until he got to Sophie.

He was about to try to get up again, until the door to his room opened up and Keefe walked in. Fitz was so shocked because of him being there that the sedative got to him as he gasped and the world went black.
