The boy was gently shaken awake by Matsun, "Hey Kawa, did you manage to get some sleep". "Yes, thanks Matsun", the boy replied. "Makki has spoken to one of the nurses and they're allowing you to use the staff showers. There's a towel, clean clothes, soap and shampoo. Go now and freshen up". "Are you trying to tell me that I stink Matsun" Kawa asked. "Yes, now go and spruce yourself up for Iwa chan"

The boy didn't want to leave the room but he had been feeling particularly gross. He had his shower and as he was walking back he heard alarms going off and then everything went quiet, "he's gone, time of death 8:31. Kawa ran in the direction of the alarms with tears running down his face.

He got to Iwa's room and ran in, startling Matsun and Makki in the process, "Kawa what's wrong", Makki asked. "He's dead isn't he, he's gone". Makki stood up and pulled Kawa into his arms, "Kawa, it wasn't Iwa, it was the guy in the next room. Look at him, he's still here". "Oh God, I thought that I'd lost him", the boy ran over to the bed and climbed on to be near to Iwa.

Kawa eventually drifted off to sleep. "Kawa, Kawa, hey dumbass wake up" the setter looked up and saw Iwa smiling at him. He flung his arms around his neck and kissed him. He was so happy, he had his Iwa chan back.

"Kawa, Kawa, wake up", the setter opened his eyes and realised that he had been dreaming. Iwa was still unconscious, lying prone in the hospital bed, he sighed deeply as the joyous feeling that he experienced a minute ago completely dissipated.

He looked up seeing Iwa's father. "Uncle, how's Auntie doing?" Kawa asked. "She's very sick but I needed to check up on our boy. We're so grateful to you for constantly being by his side but you need to ensure that you look after yourself too. Hajime would be upset if he thought that you weren't eating or getting your rest."

"I'll try my best. Please tell Auntie that I hope that she recovers soon". "Thank you, I will and please remember what I said" Iwa's dad left after spending an hour with the boys.

Matsun stood and looked at Kawa, "we're going to go to your house and grab some more clean clothes for you. Is there anything else that we need to bring?" "Could you please bring my pain medication as I've been struggling with my knee as I'm sleeping in the chair" he replied. "We'll see you in about an hour, OK?" Makki asked as he planted a kiss on Kawa's forehead. Kawa nodded as the boys left and he picked up the diary again.

IWA'S DIARY - First day of high school

(I'm glad me and Kawa sorted out our differences and I'm secretly really happy that we get to spend our 3 years at High school together. We met 2 guys today Hanamaki and Matsukawa they've joined the volleyball club too, they seem really funny. So all 4 of us have begun hanging around together and luckily we are all in the same homeroom)

(We've only been here a week and Kawa's fan girls are driving me insane. I wish that they would drop off the face of the earth, he's my Kawa not their's. O ohh shit, do I have romantic feelings for my best friend)

Kawa looked up and thought, why didn't I know sooner. We could have had longer together. He realised that he had known about his own feelings for Iwa for years but he hadn't made any attempt to confess so why would Iwa.

IWA'S DIARY - Last day as a first year

(Matsun has finally got me to realise that I don't like my best friend I love him. I bought rings today and when the time is right I will ask him to marry me)

"OMG, Iwa I would marry you in an heartbeat", Kawa was smiling and crying at the same time as he spoke to his boyfriend. The door opened at that moment and his two friends stood looking at him.

"Matsun, was Iwa going to ask me to marry him?"
