The 3 boys ran into the hospital to be greeted by Iwa's dad, he looked awful, Kawa could tell by looking at his face that this was bad, really bad.

"Where is he", Kawa sobbed. "They had to take him straight into the operating room, he has a severe head injury and internal bleeding. They've told us to prepare for the worst". Kawa felt like the walls were closing in, he couldn't breathe and that's when everything went dark.

The setter opened his eyes and he noticed that he was in an hospital bed with his 2 friends and Iwa's parents all sat around him looking worried, "what happened", he asked. "You fainted but Matsun caught you before you hit the floor so you haven't injured yourself".

The boy realised that someone was holding his hand really tightly, it was Iwa's mom and she looked dreadful. "Have you heard anything yet? Is he going to be ok?" Iwa's dad replied, "they've told us to stay in this room and they'll come here when he comes out of surgery". Kawa looked at Iwa's mom and realised that she looked so small and frail even though she was the strongest women that he'd ever met. Kawa was distracted by the sound of footsteps just outside of the room, he braced himself for bad news.

The first person he saw was Kyotani who came barging through the door. "Is Iwazumi san going to be ok? Are you ok?" Kawa had never seen the boy act like this, he was usually so hard and emotionless but he was literally shaking. Yahaba put his hand on the boys shoulder and tried to calm him down. "This is Captain and Iwaizumi san, they're fighters, if anyone can get through this it's them". The boy just nodded his head.

Kawa smiled at Yahaba, he was so proud of his team mates. They all gathered around Oikawa's bed and prayed. Makki looked over at the setter and saw that he had tears pouring down his face, he looked distraught but they were talking about the love of his life and he knew that if it were Matsun that this had happened to he would be exactly the same.

The time passed on with still no news. The team mates had left about an hour ago but Makki and Matsun stayed with Kawa. Iwa's parents had left just after the team mates as his mother had been very unwell lately, she had recently been diagnosed with cancer so it was important that she got rest and they knew that Kawa wouldn't leave Iwa alone, ever, and that he would contact them if anything urgent arose.

Kawa had just drifted off to a fitful sleep when Iwa's doctor entered the room. "Kawa, Kawa wake up" said Makki shaking him, "Iwa's doctor is here". Oikawa sat upright and looked wide eyed at the doctor, "is he ok? Please tell me he's ok."

"Hajime suffered an extremely bad head injury and had to have his spleen removed, he was bleeding internally. He's alive but he's in a coma. He has swelling around his brain so we're waiting for that to go down a little before we can do a more in depth brain scan. We won't know until then what his chances of survival are. I'm sorry the news couldn't be any better. I have to go into surgery now so the nurses can answer any questions you have" and with that he left.

Oikawa was a mess, he needed to see his boyfriend. One of the nurses came in and offered to take Kawa to see Iwa but he had to be taken in a wheelchair as they were worried that he may pass out again. The boys helped Kawa into the wheelchair and they were taken to Iwa's room.

The door opened and all Kawa saw was a broken and bloodied Iwa. His head was bandaged but none of the blood had been washed off him, he was also attached to all different sorts of life saving equipment which kept a steady beat. The boy shakily stood up and walked over to 'his love' and sat on the bed and grasped his hand.

Matsun and Makki stood back in shock, they knew that it was going to be bad they just didn't realise how bad. The next thing they heard was a heartbreaking guttural sob coming from Kawa his body was racked with devastating panic, he couldn't breathe. "Iwa please, come back to me, don't leave me. I can't live without you". Makki couldn't hold in his tears any longer, how could this world be so cruel as to try and divide two soulmates. Matsun hugged his boyfriend tightly and just whispered, "I know baby, it isn't fair".
