May 30th, Thursday

"Eijirou, honey. Stop pacing around the room. I just woke up a few minutes ago and you're making me dizzy".

A woman laid on the uncomfortable looking bed, pristine white sheets wrinkling as she shifted, sitting up to face me.

"But -", I stopped. I wanted to protest, but I flush that idea down immediately as she held up her index finger, silently asking me to stay quiet.

My mom smiled warmly while shaking her head and chuckling. "Don't worry, your Ma will be here in a few minutes", she said.

I bit my lip, gnawing at it as softly as possible, not wanting my sharp teeth to pierce the skin. Mom is a strong woman, so is Ma.

It was just an accident, but it comes with the job, it's unavoidable. A firefighter can't sprint into a burning building without the risk of being burned.

Her actions weren't futile though, the children got out safely with minor burns, unlike her.

The knocking of wood echoed throughout the room as the door opened. A woman in jeans and a biker jacket walked in while holding a paper bag.

"Hey Ma", I beamed.

She grinned as she placed the bag down onto the bedside table before giving me a hug.

"Hey, Eijiro. You've grown so tall! Why didn't you ever visit us, hm?", she said while patting my floppy gelled up hair.

I chuckled as we walked over to Mom's bed. I dragged up a chair from a small table nearby and sat down, leaning my arms against the bars that are attached to the bed.

"Moeru! You should've been more careful. Look what you got yourself into!", Ma yelled.

My mom huffed as she crossed her arms across her chest. "I'll heal Tsubaki, it's not like I jumped into lava...", she trailed off.

I smiled as I watched both of my moms argue. Although they argue about the dumbest things, they do love each other a lot.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I fished my phone out and stare at the screen. The words 'Blasty' flashed on my phone screen, his profile picture (which is his cat, I should add) showed as the background.

I answered the call as I walked out of the room, the door clicking shut behind me.

"Took you fucking long enough", he grumbled at the other end of the line.

I hear shuffling and a muffled ' thump ' and he groaned a little before he became quiet.

"Are you okay?", I asked, sitting down on one of the hospital chairs outside the room.

I can feel him shrug through the phone. Asking if he was fine is kind of a dumb question since he is straightforward about most things.

"How is your mom, Kiri? Heard she saved some kids on the news a few minutes ago. Also, come back here. Those 3 are like actual fucking children", he said.

I giggled at the fact that he just called Mina, Kaminari and Sero children as I hear him throw his pencil box (probably), on the desk.

"She woke up, thankfully and she's healing well... I hope", I answered.

He snorted before replying. "Instead of hoping, make sure she's healing fucking fine, you idiot".

I sighed. That rough voice that belongs to a certain explosive, red-eyed best friend always gets to me.

I opened the door and peeked my head in, putting the call on speaker and holding it above my head.

"Mom! Bakugo wants to know if you're healing fine!", I yelled.

I hear sputtering at the other end of the call as I laugh genuinely for once after I got the call that my mom was admitted into the hospital.

"No, I don't - Kiri, YOU ASSHOLE - "

Both of my moms laugh at Bakugo's sputtering. I giggled while walking back into the room and handing my mom my phone.

"Good to know that you actually care about me, Bakugo", she said.

Bakugo groaned as he heard her voice.

"Hi, Mrs Kirishima", he muttered. A barely audible 'why are Kirishimas always so sarcastically chipper all the time' came after.

I snorted. Typical Bakugo.

"Hello, problem child. How are you?", Ma asked before giggling.

The nickname ' problem child ' still stuck with him after 2 years he visited me when I was sick. Ma gave him the nickname because - Bakugo ' I don't have anger issues ' Katsuki.

"...and Mrs Kirishima #2", he added. The crinkling of a plastic bag was heard through the phone, and I stare at my phone dumbfounded.

"Bakugo, what are you doing right now?", I asked.

Everyone was quiet in the room as the sound of something being shoved into the plastic bag was heard.

"Throwing away those disgusting crocs of yours", he finally replied.

I gaped as both of my moms shrieked with laughter. "You still haven't thrown them away?", Ma asked.

Mom placed her hand over her mouth as she calmed down from her high, shaking her head while chuckling a little.

"Anyways, you should get back here. You won't even be able to do the first page of today's homework without my help", he said.

I grinned. Since he threw away my crocs... "I'll spend the night here unless you go shopping with me for a new pair of crocs. You're paying", I requested.

He became quiet before speaking.
"On second thought, get out of my school and don't come back", he replied.

I snorted again. "Then, you wouldn't have anyone else that could handle your attitude. I'm pretty sure you don't want those 3 either", I reasoned.

"Doesn't matter. Get out of my school and don't come back", he repeated a hint of playfulness in his voice.

"Nah, bro", I replied, grinning.

I can feel him cringe through the phone as he gagged. "Don't do that. Anyways, I'll come to get you around 6.30, if that's okay", Bakugo said.

Bakugo owns a bike and I'm jealous. He got his license since he passed the exams and he turned 18 last month while my birthday is months away.

"I'm taking that as a yes. I'll see you later Shitty Hair. Bye, Mrs and Mrs Kirishima", he said and with that, he hung up.

My mom slipped my phone into my hands while winking. "I see you have a date~. Don't disappoint us, and make sure you bring him home", she said gleefully.

"Moeru-", Ma started and they started arguing again while I just stand there flustered in an air-conditioned room.

Damn, it's hot in here, isn't it? Haha-

"T - there's nothing like that going on with me and Bakugo, we're just good friends. Yeah! GOOD FRIENDS!", I stuttered, trying to convince myself more rather than trying to convince my parents.

They both snickered while I buried my face into my palms.

I'm not gonna lie, Bakugo is attractive (like attractive as in can I please take you out and kiss you but also ask you to step on me).

Added on that he's like a GENIUS, he figures stuff out 10 times faster than me and it's terrifying.

He's pretty fit and athletic too for someone who would probably be written off as a nerd with anger issues if you hear people talk about him.

So, yes. Bakugo is an attractive, athletic, egotistically hot genius and I wouldn't mind if he stepped on me.

If you put it like that, it makes it sound like I have a crush on him. Which I most, in fact, do not.

As if he would accept it if I ever confessed. It took months for him to be my friend; a year for him to actually start trusting me and add on another year for him to consider me as a close friend and an ally.

In those 2 years, it took about a year for him to actually accept help from me without bruising his ego.

Which means, it would probably take years for him to actually see me as a possible love interest. That is something I am NOT very willing to do, but yet, I want to ignore the fact that it would take years and do it.

Wait for him to fall for me.

Which is... Not exactly the best idea I have.

"I can feel him thinking hard, Tsubaki. I hope he didn't lose any brain cells in the process", I heard my mom say.

I pouted as I looked at my moms. "Well, it's true that there's nothing going on between both of us...", I muttered.

My Ma stared at me pointedly while she played with Mom's hands. She always loved her hands. She said whenever she held her hands, she feels like she's safe at home with all of us together unharmed.

Ma sighed before speaking, gripping Mom's hands tightly between both of her hands.

"Eijiro, you don't have to deny anything. We're your parents and we can read you clearly".

Both of them smirked as Mom sat up fully from the bed. She trailed a finger down my cheek while smiling.

"It's alright, my sunshine. Love takes time, so I suggest you be patient", she patted my cheek before continuing. "Also, stop pouting. It doesn't suit you".

I nodded, deciding not to argue. I gave her a peck on the cheek before hugging her tightly.

"Thanks, both of you", I muttered.

Ma giggled while patting my back. "We wouldn't be very good parents if we left you alone when you need help", she said.

They both nodded and held onto each other's hands while glancing at each other.

"He'll be here about now, it's already a few minutes past 6.30 PM. Last I checked, Bakugo is rarely late", Ma said.

The door opened and the guy with explosive blond hair I knew quite well walked in. I smiled and feel my heartbeat speed up as he walked over to stand next to me, our shoulders brushing slightly as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He glanced at me before looking at my moms sitting behind me.

"Speak of the devil", Mom said.

He snorted while smirking. He muttered a ' hey, Shitty Hair ' and I muttered back a ' hey, Blasty '. He walked over to the bedside table and he placed a box onto it.

"Are those chocolates that I begged you to make 3 months ago?", Mom teased him.

He replied with a gruff ' no ' while walking over to stand beside me again. "I've been waiting outside for 5 damn minutes, Kirishima. Didn't you get my text?", he asked.

"Uh, no?", I replied while grinning sheepishly.

He rolled his eyes while smirking. "Thought so. I'm surprised this room isn't flooded yet", he said nonchalantly.

Now it's my turn to roll my eyes. "Am I really that sappy and emotional?", I asked.

They all turned to stare at me and I flinch as they all said ' yes ' at the same time.

I pouted again as Bakugo yelled ' ha ' in victory. My mom chuckled and shooed us away, telling us to be on our way since she doesn't want me to live here just because of her.

I said a quick ' I love you ' to both of them before stepping out of the room. Bakugo closed the door after saying his goodbyes, leaving both of them inside the room to be with each other in peace.

I passed Kirishima his custom made helmet (there were red gears painted onto the side) as I put mine on. It's a miracle that I can get this bike for a low price. It took a little fixing and tweaking and it was good as new after I repainted it.

A skull with a huge orange X behind it decorated the front side while an explosion was painted onto the leather seat.

It's big enough to fit 2 people, maybe 3 if someone decides to sit on the 2nd person's lap, but it's an idea I don't want to try. It most definitely cannot fit 5 people. Those idiots decided to try and see how many people could fit on it. It's another miracle nobody got hurt and fell off the damn bike.

I started the engine as Kirishima climbed on. He tapped my shoulder, signalling he's comfortable and ready and I started driving out of the hospital's carpark.

He wrapped his arms around my waist like many times before and started whooping with glee as we picked up speed. I smile under my helmet as he held on tighter when I made a turn, both of us leaning down to the left to allow it to run smoothly.

The lamp posts started flickering to life as the sun started to set. Everything blurred past us as we rode through the city, the wind whipping through our hair as we left everything behind us.

"This never gets old!", I barely hear Kirishima yell behind me. The wind whipping past us blocked out the noise.

I smirked as I turned right, heading towards a familiar cafe. It came into view a few minutes later, the adrenaline of speeding through the city wore off both of us slowly as I parked my bike into an empty spot.

I let Kirishima get off first before getting off myself. I took off my helmet and leaned against my bike after I made sure my bike was locked and the kickstand was kicked down. I watched silently as Kirishima fiddled with his helmet a little before taking it off.

His hair flopped down and he patted it sheepishly, flattening his hair unlike the usual spiked up broom of his.

He's so cute and he makes my mind go blank when he smiles. It's stupid, so fucking stupid.

He grinned as he passed me his helmet. I opened the compartment box under the seat and placed it inside before closing it, deciding to hang my helmet at one of the handles.

We both walked into the cafe. A small ring went off and the barista turned to look over at us, her hands holding onto the sponge and a dirty plate.

"Oh, it's you 2", she said. She cleaned the plate and place it back into the cupboard before wiping her hands on her apron while walking over to us.

The cafe wasn't as crowded as usual. Just a few students and adults around, drinking and doing their work. A family of 4 sat in the corner of the shop, giggling silently, trying not to disturb the atmosphere of the cafe.

"Slow night...", I muttered.

She shrugged and leaned on the table. "Everyone else already left since they think I'm going to be fine handling all their shifts", she complained.

She stretched her arms before tapping away on her laptop that was placed on the table near the corner.

"Anyways, what do you both want for today? Decide quickly. I have an assignment I need to get done", she said, looking up from her laptop as she spoke.

Right. She's fucking older than us. Going to a college (which is quite good actually) nearby this cafe, probably studying English Lit or something, I don't know.

"Should we get coffee for the others?", Kirishima asked me.

I checked my wallet. Pinky's coffee was always expensive. A fucking 13 shot venti-soy, hazelnut, vanilla, cinnamon, white mocha with caramel (no wonder she's fucking hyper).

Pikachu liked chocolate mint latte which doesn't taste too bad I guess. Tape Face preferred spearmint green tea. While Kirishima always gets pumpkin spice latte or hot chocolate with extra whip cream.

"Yeah, I have enough money", I said.

Kirishima grinned as he ordered. He knew what they liked and also knows mine so I just stood there and waited.

The barista cursed under her breath as Kirishima recited Mina's usual order, typing it into the computer as quickly as possible.

"7334.36 ¥. Pay up", she said while tapping her fingers on the table.

(69 dollars :D)

Kirishima reached into his pocket and I slapped his hand away. "No", I said darkly.

"Bakuno-", he started, but I shushed him while snapping open my wallet and reaching into it.

"Baku-", and I shushed him again, pulling out the amount needed for the drinks.

I placed the money on the cashier and she looked at me with a smirk on her face. "Kirishima technically said ' dibs ' when he reached into his pocket so he's paying", she said.

He grinned as they both stared at me. Kirishima waved the money in front of my face before handing it over to her.

"You fucking bastard", I muttered.

His grin turned into a smirk as he gestured towards her. "Her words not mine, Bakugo", he said.

She ripped the receipt from the printer and handed it to Kirishima with some small change before heading over to prepare our order.

I tapped my foot impatiently while Kirishima fiddled with his watch. He glanced at me before breaking the comfortable silence between us.

"You missed me that much that you had to come get me, huh?", he asked while smirking.

I stared at him, trying to comprehend the words he just said before my face exploded into red.

"I - NO? YEAH, NO!", I yelled.

He cackled as I stare at him, red-faced. I don't miss him, as if I would. I see him everyday, for most of the day. Literally, in class, in the dorms, during recess, when we ' hang out '.

I'm used to having his presence around me nearly every damn second of the day. Being alone is kind of, well, lonely.

So, maybe I do miss him.

"What if I do...? It's not like it matters", I muttered.

His laughter died down slowly as I said that. He looked at me incredulously, blinking slowly as I shuffled away and avoided his eyes.

What the fuck. I'm Bakugo Katsuki, when the fuck did I ever avoid eye contact and shuffle away.

Today apparently.

He recovered himself and smiled that stupid smile of his. "Well, I promise I'll spend more time with you", he said.

"Whatever...", I muttered. Trying to hide my red face by covering the side of my face with my hand.

Kirishima took out his phone and angled it to face me. I froze before moving my arm to block the camera.

A small ' click ' was audible and I see Kirishima looking at his phone and smiling softly.

This motherfucking bastard.

"I have been standing here with your guys coffee for 2 minutes. Just kiss and fuck already, but not in front of me", she said nonchalantly, handing the coffee to me.

I froze when she finished speaking, and exploded into red AGAIN. Is this how I'm going to die? Embarrassed to death by a sunshine and a old auntie?
Hell, even Minecraft has better deaths than that.

"Ah, Tomomi I don't think you should say that. We're in public... And I don't think Bakugo would liked it if I uh, yeah", Kirishima replied nervously.

She sighed as she handed the coffee to me. She made a gesture that said ' whatever ' and went back to doing her assignment.

I hear Bakugo hiss when he opened the door to his room. Mina was flipping through Netflix while Kaminari and Sero played Uno on his floor.

They turned to face the door and Bakugo held up the paper box that held all of our coffee. They jumped up and scrambled over, each grabbing their cup before giving me and Bakugo a hug.

"Kiri!!!!!", Mina whined before asking. "How's Moeru???".

Kaminari and Sero nodded, taking a sip out of their drinks before switching it. They must've took each others on accident. They thanked us for getting them drinks before staring at me expectantly.

"She's fine and healing well", I answered, smiling slightly.

Sero whooped before patting Kaminari's back lightly. "See! Told you she'd be fine, Denki".

Kaminari nodded as he kissed Sero's cheek. I smiled as I watched the scene play out. I'm a hopeless romantic on the inside not gonna lie.

They've been dating for a few months now. Their relationship didn't start out bumpy and rocky like most do. Most of the time they were just shy to initiate small things like hand holding or kissing each others cheeks. Now, they can make out in the common room on the couch and others wouldn't even care as long as they both don't bother the others too much.

"Okay, to celebrate Moeru's soon to be complete recovery, let's play Super Smash Bros Ultimate", Mina said, already setting up Bakugo's Nintendo 3DS.

Bakugo fumed as he watched Mina touch his 3DS, deciding not to say anything as he locked his door and and sat down on the ground with his arms crossed, pouting.

I snickered silently as I took a picture with my phone, pretending to look bored while making sure he doesn't turn around.

"Tournament style? I can sit out since I want to see my ships fight", Mina said.

Bakugo stared at her while holding onto the controller. "Whatever, I'll win like how I won the sports festival every year", he said confidently.

Kaminari laughed as he held onto his own controller. "So like, ' indisputable ' ", he made air quotation marks with one hand. "Right?", he smirked.

"Kaminari's funeral with be tomorrow morning at 8 AM. Sero will also be married to him since he loves him so much. I hope everyone (including you all) can attend. Please come as memes and remember to leave your crocs by the entrance. Also, please remember to say ' yeet ' when you throw the flowers in", I said.

Kaminari looked at me while being ' strangled ' by Bakugo with a thumbs up. "That the most perfect funeral for me, thanks for planning it Kirishima", he said, pretending to wipe a fake tear away as Sero pretended to mourn and wail, attacking Kaminari with kisses as soon as Bakugo let's go.

"This is disastrous. Poor Kaminari lived a wonderful life with cringey memes and as a dumbass", Mina said, dabbing her eyes with a napkin.

I nodded and solemnly said a ' yep '. Kaminari suddenly sprung up of Sero's lap and yelled ' get out of my swamp ', effectively being a zombie ogre.

Everyone laughed at him, including Bakugo surprisingly, but it's nice to see him let go once in awhile.
